I won Cocktails with Coldplay from KROQ, but because they were running so late because of the 98.7 show, it ended up being like 15 seconds with Coldplay before they were rushed on stage. It was still awesome and I talked to Will and Chris shook my and my husband's hand. They took a group pic of us, and I'm right next to Will and my husband was right next to Chris, and Chris put his arm around my husband's shoulder. I tried winning from 98.7, too.

Makayla, love your video. I was at that show and the next night in Irvine too. I had better seats and a meet and greet with the band on Sunday which was amazing. I couldn't stop thinking about the magic of those nights that I had to see them again. So I flew to tampa for the last show. We all know what happened there. I was in the air between Orange County,Ca and Atlanta when the postponent announcement was made :(. I still went to Tampa and met up with other cp'ers and made the best of it. But I still need to see them again. And watching the videos from the LA shows makes me happy but sad.

A typical passport costs something like $105 the first time. A renewal is less expensive. If you are over 16 years old, they're valid for ten years.

Ha ha, you can say that again. lol We were going to meet up for our own after party because it's right across from the fairgrounds. I've been the the HRH in Vegas, and it's loud, smokey, and huge. I *will* get back there for the show. I'm still depressed and on top of that, my cat has been missing for 2 days :( And my kids are being buttheads. 26 more days until school starts, not that I'm counting. Oh, and my husband is buying a freaking motorcycle - can you say mid-life crisis? Just shoot me now.

You'll be fine timewise. I renewed mine two years ago at the height of the passport frenzy, and it took 4 weeks. The funny thing was that my kid's renewals came in 2 weeks for some reason - guess they needed to investigate me further and my kids weren't a threat. :laugh3:

Well, that picture was on Aug 11, so he may have still been getting over whatever he had and resting before flying back to London. Flying when sick is miserable.

Those Real Housewives shows are just train wrecks. And the women on them are so far out of touch with reality anyway, how can anything they say be taken seriously. And who cares about their opinion anyway? They have no real staying power, and just go around making a bad (or worse) name for themselves. "Real" my ass...

The Stones have not aged well, I'd prefer them to be more like Bruce Springsteen - he's aged much better than Mick, and Chris likes Bruce, too. I first saw Bruce in concert 28 years ago, and the last time I saw him was last year...I hope Coldplay has that kind of staying power!

I was at the shows July 18 and July 19, too. Lisanoelle was at both shows and has some great videos on youtube. Do a search for lisanoelle. I had great seats for July 19 in Irvine, you can see my pics in my link. I didn't do any video - my video camera sucks and I knew there would be people with much better vids. Plus I didn't want to spend the show holding a camera to tape. I'm so addicted that I flew from Orange County to Tampa last weekend for the last show that was "postponed." The addiction lives on...do we need to form CA? Hi I'm Dianne, and I'm a Coldplay addict.

Ok, I just read this after I commented...we just got home from soccer practice - my life is soccer practice and football 2-a-days starting next week.

Right, there were two contests and the UK contest is still going until Aug 31 or Sept 1, I forget. I entered the US contest, and if I'd won, they would have flown me from CA to FL. But they were getting off easy since you won and already live in FL. I think they're being very generous in offering you the trip to Wembley due to the uncertainty of rescheduling Florida. I really hope it all works out for you because it will be an amazing experience (and I'm available if your husband isn't :laugh3:).

Oh, believe me, I know. This was pre-2001, back when companies had unlimited travel budgets, and everything was spend spend spend. It's why my husband's London assignment was terminated 2 years early and most of the benefits of being an ex-pat were eliminated. You were joking about first class, and I was meaning it's great when someone *else* is paying for it.

I've done a few LA-London flights first class, and let me tell you, that is the way to go. We lived in London for a year for my husband's job and they flew us AND the kids first class. Back in the day of unlimited travel budgets...

The original contest was open to anyone in the US to go to Tampa. It just happened that you live in Florida, so didn't need a flight. They didn't know where you lived, because they only had an email address. So it would stand to reason that they'd include airfare to London, since they would have included airfare to a winner, say, from CA to FL. But you should clarify, just to be sure.

You know, I did look into it, and the cheapest flight + hotel I could find was $950. That, of course, doesn't include ticket or food. Even though I had a free air ticket (well, I still had to pay $85 because I booked last minute for a "free" ticket), I still had to pay for hotel, car, ticket, food...and all that came to about $500 for a weekend of no Coldplay. I'd love to be there for the experience, but to be honest, I'm not a big fan of huge stadium shows. You are going to have an awesome time, and think of me on my birthday, Sept 18, and make Jonny a happy belated birthday sign.

Yay!!Tracey's going to London.Logistics aside, really, how could you pass it up? And I totly get the kid thing but it's fun to do something spontaneous and out of your box. Look at me and Tampa. :)

So just to rub salt in the wounds, I got an email from livenation with a survey about the concert in Tampa.

Yeah, well, she'll get over it. lol Might take a few years, though.
