  1. So you will leave Orlando on the 17th, fly overnight to London, hopefully arriving early on the 18th. No way would I chance arriving on the 19th, lol.
  2. There is an amazing audio from one of the concerts that I was at - and I love listening to it because I was *there*, hearing Chris's comments again brings back the great memories. Other than that, i buy all the official releases from itunes, and have downloaded interviews, videos, and unreleased music from the MM section.
  3. But that would be wasteful. Unless of course he bought a used island, then he wouldn't have to develop it. Better I think, to borrow an already-developed island. Running power and fresh water can be a real bitch, and even more so of he has to build a landing strip .
  4. Nah, he doesn't need to do that...can't he just call Richard Branson and borrow his island?
  5. Nah, you get double points for driving to Sacramento, no offense to Sacramentonians, but not only was it to Sac'to, but it was another 40 miles north to Nowhere's-ville. I just sat my butt on a plane with direct-tv, my book, and my ipod for 6 hours, and got to visit with a dear friend and her family, as an added bonus, before meeting up with the Coldplay-shaped fans :P
  6. Trust me, it will never get as warm as Fontana! But you should go, if you can. London is an amazing place and I would love to go back again. And this time, I have a couple of uh, new places in Camden to check out. You Wembley-goers can report back on the progress.
  7. It was an amazing place to live, but I was cold the whole time! :laugh3: I got great photos because there were no shadows, lol.
  8. Solar panels? In London? When we lived in London, I think we had something like 20 sunny days over the course of a year. Coming from sunny Southern Cal-e-forn-I-A, this sun-loving beach bum about died. But yeah, on the energy efficient "green" home.
  9. You know, something like this should squash any current separation/divorce rumors...you don't undergo a project this massive if you are not planning on staying together...sorry Chrissy-girls.
  10. Like others have said, at least he's not tearing both houses down and rebuilding. And when you start to think about it, yes, 33 rooms (if that's even correct) is a lot, but break it down. Foyer, kitchen, breakfast nook, family room, dining room, salon (or living room), music room, multiple bathrooms, gym, probably some massive closets for Gwyneth's wardrobe, and a small closet for Chris's wardrobe, bedrooms, nanny suite, media room, laundry room, playroom for the kids, etc...it adds up.
  11. He also tells several anecdotes, describing instances all through his career, from one of their earliest recording Shiver, Chris has had a positive attitude towards others' advice and criticism. He has a positive attitude in general that I believe has led to Coldplay's huge success. He is an inspiration for my own life, and my best example of a profoundly successful and self-realized person. Reggie, I love these sentiments. But I can't help but wonder how positive he is to Will's "seal of disapproval." :laugh3: Seriously, thoough, I think they as friends and bandmates respect each other immensely, and while Chris will always be the "face" of the band, the others all have equal say. For Chris to be the face, he has to put himself out there and he seems to accept the visible responsibility for the band's decisions - even though he always tries to spread the recognition with Jonny, Will and Guy. The die hards like us see them as a complete unit, whereas the casual fan may see only Chris.
  12. Thanks for explaining. The backlighting of the band against the scrim makes them look larger than life. The sparklers are a fairly recent addition - at the beginning of the whole tour in July 2008, they didn't use the sparklers. And I agree...I really wish they would at least announce something to all of us ticketholders. It's been 2 weeks today. When Aerosmith cancelled the remainder of their tour last week, we had our refund within hours of the announcement. I'm sure they're just trying to work out what to do - if in fact it will be in conjunction with a Latin American tour, but since there has been no official announcement, just speculation and rumors, who knows.
  13. I emailed them last week, asking when they were going to put the video online - they have lots of other 98.7 concerts on their website, wonder what the hold up is with this one? [email protected]
  14. I hear you. My 10 year old is at a 2 day sleepover birthday party, my 16 year old son went back to Disneyland this morning - and drove himself, only slightly terrifying for me, my husband is watching the European Grand Prix and hopes Lewis Hamilton will win, my other son is still asleep, and I should be cleaning up because my dad and his family are coming over this afternoon...but where am I? Right here at the computer. It's going to be really hot in Orange County today - I can already tell. I'm trying to figure out a way to get two of R#42's videos on my ipod. I've downloaded them, they're in mp4 format, but can't for the life of me figure out how to convert to ipod format - even apple 2nd level tech support couldn't help me, so I wonder if they're protected or something? And I've spent way too much time on it so far, but it's so freaking frustrating.
  15. I like your video...it was funny to see that roadie kneeling down on the left side - wonder what he was doing?
  16. While I was at the show in Carson Saturday night, which is the one in Makayla's video, the sparkler picture is from Sunday's Irvine show. Saturday's show was great, I had my 13 year old son with me and he was totally embarrassed by his mom dancing and singing like a maniac, but we were in the 19th row behind the pit. Sunday's show, we had orchestra seats, right on the side aisle that they come up to get to C stage. Two totally different experiences for me - location makes a huge difference! I love Makayla's video - she and her brother are lucky they're such great friends, too. I hope when my kids get older, they get along like Makayla and her brother :)
  17. http://img502.yfrog.com/i/2nx.jpg/ That is a lot of people! Sorry, I can't get it to put up the picture.
  18. I loved the sparklers. I got a pic from the side of Jonny with his
  19. Did you hear the drummer is gay? Ok, so this is funny. Yesterday I was at lunch with some friends and some relatives of the friends. We were talking about concerts, and the relatives had been to one of the Canadian Coldplay shows and loved it, as casual fans. So I was sharing my Coldplay experiences with them, when the guy said "did you know one of them is gay?" He said he thought it was the drummer. I asked where he'd heard that, that he's married with kids, and they all have children (not that being gay excludes having children). He said he heard it from an interview with Chris that the drummer is a "flamboyant homosexual who wears outrageous clothes." Ha ha ha...that's from the recently re-aired 60 Minutes. Of course, I had to set him straight (no pun intended).
  20. :dead::dead::heart::heart: His hair is so long - love it. Thanks Denise.
  21. Denise, lucky you...only 9 days and then Wembley :). I keep checking on flights to London, but it's still over $800 for a flight, plus hotel, so I just don't think it's going to happen for me. We just had to pay a lot in school fees for my 2 boys. I'm sure they'll make an announcement sometiime, and I'll do my best to get back to Tampa.
