Oh, I won't forget pics. I'm hoping I can bring in my "good" camera instead of just my point and shoot. I won the contest back in March, so now i'm halfway through the waiting until July. :)

I *may* have tickets to sell for Irvine. I bought 2 tickets during the presale, then 2 days later, I won tickets from a radio station, as well as "Cocktails with Coldplay" where I get to meet the band before the show :-) The radio station has not sent me the tickets yet, so I'm not sure which ones are better - but the ones I bought are great seats, sec 8, row AA, seats 1 and 2. I was at Verizon last night to see Jimmy Buffett and our seats were sec 8, row HH, so I know the AA seats are awesome. I'll sell them to coldplayers at face value ($240something), but won't sell them before I get the KROQ tickets.

I'm going to Carson and Irvine - wish I could go to Chula Vista, too, but I do have a husband and 4 kids who keep rolling their eyes at me, lol. I live only 15 minutes from Verizon - which is great (and I was there last night to see Jimmy Buffett - what an experience that was with all those parrotheads). There are some great meet up places in Irvine, less than a mile from Verizon at the Irvine Spectrum. Lots of restaurants - Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen, PF Changs, Javiers (great local Mexican restaurant), Ruby's, Yard House, Dave and Busters, a sushi place I don't recommend, an "American Bistro" I also don't recommend. There's also a food court, and some more fast food places - Corner Bakery, Johnny Rockets, Chipotle. There are some restaurants near the Home Depot Center, too, but I'll have to look those up - it's a newish shopping area and I've only been to Home Depot Center once for a Galaxy game.

Yes, the whole band! I'm so excited! It was a call-in contest to win "Cocktails with Coldplay." I will take lots of pictures, and I need to think of things to say that don't sound too stupid - if I can remember how to speak at that point without sounding like a blabbering idiot. I may need a valium so I don't shake, lol. :blush:

So last night, I went to the Jimmy Buffett concert at Verizon. I hadn't been there since last summer (Tom Petty and John Mayer). Our seats were very near to where our seats are for Coldplay, last night, Sec 8, row HH. For Coldplay, Sec 8, row AA. I kept trying to picture how Coldplay will have the stage set up, with the side ramps. The orchestra section is much larger than I remember, and there was a pit last night, too. So where will B stage be with the layout of the amphitheater? And then where will C stage be? Unless they block out seats, there really isn't a place to set it up, unless they go way back to the lawn. And with the size of the orchestra section, why weren't there orch tickets available for the live nation site? Less than 2 months to go :-)

Two months from today I get to meet the boys! I won the KROQ tickets 2 months ago, so the waiting is half over :P

I ordered the butterfly tshirt from the Coldplay shop online. It just came the other day, and I really like it. Im going to see them 2 nights in a row in July, so I will wear the butterfly shirt one night and the other night? I have no idea...I get to meet the band before the concert, so I'm still thinking - how crazy fan-like do I want to be?

All but 3 are Coldplay. Tied for first place are Cemeteries of London and Lost! with 64 each.

I took my kids to see the Peter Pan movie and fell in love with Clocks - I'd heard of them and liked "Yellow" but hearing Clocks is what did it for me. Kind of cliche, I know.

Awww, he's so cute clean-shaven. I really think that they all are looking better now that they are older, too. Not that they weren't cute years ago, but I prefer their looks now.

Me, too...I love the short, fuzzy look on him.

I will be sure to let everyone know just how sexy Mr Berryman is when I get to meet him 3 months from today. :D

Well, I wouldn't say that Guy is exactly *short, remember that Chris is 6'2". Guy is probably 5'10 or so. Love Will's shoulders, though. His upper body really gets a work out with that drumset ;)

I suppose I have time to decide which camera to bring. I have an Olympus Stylus, Nikon CoolPix (but it's new and i haven't really tried it out yet - bought it for my son to take on his 8th grade class trip), and my Nikon D40 (dslr). The Olympus does decent video, but it's only has a 3.1 optical zoom, and I have a decent zoom lens for my Nikon. I know they frown on cameras with detachable lenses, but maybe since I'll be going in early for the meet and greet, I can bring it in. But I don't want to get so distracted by cameras during the concert that I don't get to enjoy the concert. But then agan, I will be seeing them two nights in a row. :D

Those pictures couldn't have been from today. I'ts only 7:40am here on the West Coast, and the sun just came up less than an hour ago. A bit early to go shopping, and too cold for the way Apple is dressed.

Do you have a point and shoot or did you smuggle in a DSLR? Your pictures are great - very clear...did you edit them? So many times, concert pictures, while awesome to look at, aren't always the best quality.

Fudge, were you that close to C-stage or did you have a great zoom? I just love that fuzzy head of Will's. :heart:
