Guy looks absolutely amazing in those pictures. I personally like the clean-shaven look more than the bearded look. Love the hat, too, lol. Phil is darling. I hope they look that good when I get to meet them in July, before their concert here in Irvine! I won a radio contest to have "Cocktails with Coldplay" but I have to wait another 3 1/2 months!

From Roadie 42's blog: I'm crossing the stage with my camera, as Stage Manager Kurt takes the opportunity to mop up the onstage puddles whilst the band are out in the crowd. My husband and son both like them, but not the way I like them - which borders on obsession ha ha. Because my husband is getting "tired" of going to see their concerts - after all I "made" him go with me to 2 concerts last year - I thought it would be fun to take my son instead. But now that I'm going to meet them, my husband is not so tired of them. Funny how that happened. :rolleyes:

The funny thing is, I have tickets to the concerts for both July 18 and 19 - different venues. Before the tickets for July 19 went on sale, I was going to take my 13 year old son to the concert on July 18 - my husband is starting to roll his eyes at yet another Coldplay concert. Then I bought tickets to see them July 19, so my husband was going to come with me the first night, and my son the second night. Then I WON the contest for tickets and to meet them for July 19 so now my husband wants to come to that show instead. Hmm, do I want to be embarrassed by my 13 year old son or by my husband, given that both know of my obsession with Coldplay. :rolleyes: I don't know if I trust either one of them.

I have a small Olympus Stylus point and shoot which takes decent pictures, but I also have a Nikon D40, a dslr with detachable lens. Since I won a radio contest to meet Coldplay before the show, I'm hoping they let me in with my "good" camera.

Well, you could win a radio contest like I did to meet the band. I'm going to have "Cocktails with Coldplay" before one of their concerts in July...I'm so excited!

Looks like livenation just released more tickets. There are seats in Sec 4, Row BB available right now.

I know that at the Honda Center show last November, the KROQ winners were in the first few rows. I'm going to wait, though and see where the KROQ tickets are, before I sell the ones I bought. The KROQ tickets are non-transferable, in any case, so I can't sell them even if they're not as good. I won't know for awhile where they are, and I thought it would have been kind of rude to ask the dj yesterday when I won.

I'm lucky, I guess. I live 30 minutes from Home Depot Center and 10 minutes from Irvine :-) Wish I was going to San Diego, too, but my husband is rolling his eyes at me, and, well, having 4 kids to have to feed, clothe and keep busy, gets expensive. I will be selling my Irvine tickets, though, since I won tickets from KROQ (and I GET TO MEET THE BAND). I'm sure the KROQ tix are in Sec 1, 2 or 3...the tix I have now are Sec 8, row AA, the first 2 seats on the aisle next to Sec 7, so they're about the best seats that were available through livenation.

Oh, I couldn't believe it when I got through. I'd been trying to win all weekend, and got through several times, but never the right caller. This time when he answered, he just said KROQ, and I thought I'd called at the wrong time. Then I asked if I won, and he asked what my name was. Then my *darling husband starts clapping and shouting "woo" in the background, so I couldn't even hear the guy trying to ask me the questions and go over the disclaimer stuff. I'm so excited, it's going to be a long 4 months until July!

GA Floor is SRO in front of the stage. The seating sections start at A2, B2, C2, etc. through A5, B5, etc. There are "seats" assigned for the GA tickets, just for inventory purposes. Just be sure you're not looking at Grass Berm because that is at the very back of the soccer field. KROQ was giving away tickets this weekend for the Irvine show. I just kept calling in when I heard the promo clip and I was finally caller 20. Now I just need to wait until July...

KROQ (http://www.kroq.com) in Los Angeles had a call-in contest all weekend long. "Cocktails with Coldplay" - they say hang out with the band, have a few drinks with them before the show. I'm trying to figure out how many people won, maybe 25? So there will be at least 50 people there. I also get tickets, so I'm hoping they're great seats! I just bought presale tickets on Friday for the show, but I can sell those. These next 4 months are going to be very long...

And I'll have some Jonny pics too, when I get to MEET him in July! I just won a radio contest in Los Angeles to meet the boys before their concert here. I'm so excited...:dance:
