I wonder if they'll show up to the awards show. I may have to subject myself to thousands of screaming tweens and slime if there's a chance the boys will attend. The awards show is at UCLA - my alma mater :) And I have an 11 year old, so I'd fit in with the rest of the overindulgent parents wearing earplugs.

Marie, welcome home! I started reading your blog - what an amazing experience you had. I will read more later today :).

For a little lightbulb, you could get by with an adapter, I'm sure. Do you have a Brookstone near you? Or any travel type store - I know Sharper Image used to carry them, but they went out of business. Maybe Best Buy, too. When we moved from CA to London, we had to buy big (relatively speaking) transformers to power big things like our stereo and tv, but a lightbulb is pretty small :) So you need to slow down your shutter speed and spin the globe to get the right effect when you get the lightbulb working ;)

It's been a long 4 months, hasn't it? Last year, I bought tickets in February, for shows that weren't until July. The waiting is the worst, but the rewards were so great :)

And Lore, are you just getting so excited? Only 23 more days - not that you'd be keeping track or anything. :laugh3: I hope you have the best time - it's an amazing show, as you've heard :)

I need to start keeping better tabs on any Los Angeles appearances they may be making in the future. Hmm, Iron Man 2 premiere-Wonder when that will be? Gwyneth should be there, wonder if Chris will be making the trip out with her? Not that they'd, God forbid, ever appear together, but maybe he'll come to get his Los Angeles fix (since he says he likes it so much here) and to keep her company :)

I know - not that we *really* thought it was true, but it was fun thinking about it for a few days :) Wish I could get to Mexico, but it's just such an extravagance right now. Ok fine. You win. Rather than just have a bit of fun with an internet rumor which was probably a typo, you just seem hell bent on trying to be "right" rather than just going along with the fun speculation that was happening on this board. It got tiresome arguing with you. It's like trying to reason with my teenagers (and I have three of those so I know what I'm talking about). And ftr, they did three preview shows before the Viva tour- two smaller ones in London and a larger show in New York. Maybe they'll come back, maybe they won't.

No, that just proves my point. They tested out Viva at smaller venues, then went to arenas, amphitheatres and finally, huge stadiums. They said they wanted to go back to the smaller venues. And they've been working on the album for quite a while, even while touring. The studio time is to record and refine. And R42 has said that he has been shocked at how quickly things move along, once they get going. So it could be possible.

Me, too...remember our afterparty plans at the Hard Rock? sigh. i'm always up for a party. Hey Tracey, we still on for Vegas this summer? cha-ching go the slot machines.
