Another Bruin, but I graduated in 1988. I live in Orange County now, and I *don't* miss LA and avoid it as much as I can! lol I want to go to this, and my best friend lives in Alameda, and flights from Orange County are cheap right now, only $49 on Southwest...Hmm...gotta convince my husband that I need to go. Might be hard though, since I flew to Tampa - and we all know what happened there.

I'm still so sad, but gotta resign myself to the fact - sigh...If you search twitter, there are a LOT of pissed off people, and if you read the comments on facebook, wowee, even more pissed off people. One guy said he came from Venezuela just for the Tampa show, and there were many where the tix were special occasion birthday presents...I'm ticked off that there has been no apology or announcement from the band themselves, groveling for our forgiveness, a recorded video apology would be nice. Just that stupid, all-business auto response from livenation. It was exactly the same as the one we got from livenation when Aerosmith cancelled. For a band that cares about its fans and is so grateful to us, and how we all are the "best fucking fans in the world," they're not treating us very nicely. I still totally love them and all, but come on, they should show a little respect for the 20,000 or so people who came to support them! And waiting over a month to make the announcement sucks. For me personally, I may have been able to get to Wembley with a little more than 2 days notice, if I'd known that Tampa was a definite no go.

You have no idea :cry: Especially since Tampa is cancelled and who knows when they'll tour again. Although, I'm thinking of going to the Bridge Benefit next month, only an hour's flight. Not quite the same though. i just keep missing out on the Coldplay karma - I think I need to start hanging with Kirsten :P

I read the main acts are going to play 40 minutes. And tix go on sale at noon, Chicago time. Not midnight.

And Tracey, do not EVEN for one second feel guilty or bad about going. You are going to have an amazing time, and geez...the cancellation worked out great for you! Hmm, 2 tix to Tampa and a room for one night at the Holiday Inn Express, or a trip to LONDON! Flight, 2 nights at a really cool looking hotel, transportation, tickets! You so totally scored! And we're all so happy for you. And you can use your Tampa refund to shop...Don't let the cancellation in any way dampen your weekend - although that London rain might ;)

Awww, Tracey, you're so sweet. We have an awesome Tampa board. I'm sad I won't see the boys all together again (still debating with myself if I should go to the Bridge Benefit), but also so sad that we won't all be meeting up. That was going to be half the fun, being with people who "get" the band and their music, and our after-party at the Hard Rock. I've still been torturing myself by pricing flights/hotel, and it's actually way cheaper to book a package flight + hotel, but it's still over $1000 at travelocity.com, and right now, that's just not in the budget (damn Visa bill came yesterday for my hotel, car, dinner out with my friend in Atlanta - all of my Tampa charges just came through :cry: talk about salt in the wounds). I'm fine...kind of...just disappointed by the finality of it. I wonder if we'll get a statement from the band about it? Something other than that "all business" generic email from livenation. And I'm sure livenation is not going to refund the $22 that I was forced to pay for overnight delivery of my ticket (which I still don't understand, but it was the only ticket option available). I have my memories of meeting Will and shaking Chris's hand, and my pictures from Irvine. That's gonna have to do for now.

I know...I can get plane tix and 3 nights hotel through travelocity from Los Angeles to London for $1070. Dang, I wish our credit card bill wasn't so high last month, and quarterly taxes are due, and back to school expenses. It's easy to get the Wembley tix, and they're CHEAP - way less than my Tampa pit ticket. Kaleigh, you should goooooooo....is your passport handy?

It should go smoothly. We had Aerosmith tickets a few weeks ago, then it was cancelled when Steven Tyler hurt himself during a concert. We had our refund within hours.

So pick one and read it, if you're that interested. Or just skip them both. Not everyone reads both boards.

Hi Sam, I'm so sad :cry: I wanted to share the concert with all the people who "get" them. Oh well. And the concert on tv last week? Well, it recorded just fine, but my husband had hours of Formula 1 and hours of the US Open recording last weekend, too, that it deleted itself to free up space on the dvr. HD-DVR's don't hold as many hours as a regular dvr, so I didn't even get to watch it. I'll keep checking to see if it will be on again, Palladia repeats things, so I'll have to see. Thanks again for the making the dvd, when you have the chance.

A plane ticket from California to London? It's no secret that this was a huge deal for me. I left my husband and 4 kids at home and I flew to Tampa from California just for the concert. I was at the first US show and wanted to be at the last US show. I just kept hoping it would somehow be rescheduled, or tied to a LA tour next year. I *NEVER* cry and I'm sitting here while "tears stream down {my} face, when {I've} lost something I can't replace" Ok, that was lame, but I'm so so so sad, as I know everyone else will be.
