  1. OK kiddos, Can yall help me out?...? Since I've never been the The Netherlands I am wondering what to pack?? It'll still be really warm here in Chicago in early Sept. and I can't wrap my brain around what I would be wearing to an outdoor show there! I get cold very easily so I'm going to err on the side of that, but are we talking sweater and jacket and scarf weather ???? So excited for the trip. PS I was going to describe myself so that if any CP'ers see me at the show they'll introduce themselves (Tash!) But then I realized super short, very blond hair probably doesn't single me out for identifying in the Netherlands quite like it does in the Midwest U.S. Lolol
  2. Gianna, I'm sorry about your SD card girl! ....but you do have an awesome night of memories from a killer seat!!! It was great seeing you again (BTW, after seeing you on Wed. my hubbie said 'Gianna is so strikingly pretty!) and I'm sure we'll meet again at a show in the future!!
  3. I sacrificed my MOST beautiful hand painted Tampa gig Elbow/Coldplay banner to cut up for Kevin's T-shirt. When we got passed up 3 times for an upgrade I was getting pretty sad.
  4. Angie, your reviews are always so sterling, if you get tired of your high pressure job I think you could have a writing career in the music field. -Kel
  5. Lori, you're coming!!!!! yayayay!!!!!!!
  6. Hi Tash, Good to chat with you on the boards here! I've been a member for quite a while but seeing as I am, ahem, a little more mature (read older) I am not as active a poster as I used to be -but still very much into CP and still love my CPing.com I bid on a meet and greet so that's why I'm coming all the way to The Hague. Of course being a die hard rail junkie I was wondering if the tix that are included in my auction were seated or standing. VIP early access DOES suck....those of us crazies who are willing to queue from the early hours ought to be rewarded with a run for the rail for sure. I'm afraid the M&G might interfere with getting close as I won't be able to queue as early as I'm used to. (I'm not complaining of course!!!) but I am glad it's not seated either way. If I do end up in some sort of queue I'm always up for meeting and hanging with other Cpers!
  7. Hi People, This is a thread I didn't ever expect to be jumping into! I will, crazily, be flying from Chicago into Amsterdam for this show. Soooo stoked. Since I can't read the venue websites where the tickets are posted I was wondering a few things..... Does this gig have standing/ gen. admission tickets or seats only... and if so, any Colplayers planning on getting there early to wait till gates open?
  8. Angie is the ultimate Coldplayer!! And Julie, so glad Ryan's memory is still glowing so brightly and her little mc is still traveling the world in her honor.
  9. Hi Cobalt!!! I know, I've been MIA haven't I?- you can tell by how old my avatar is! My new mantra is....'everyone's entitled to their own opinion.' Now if I can get my grumpy husband to chant it with me! I'm just glad there's a place like cp'ing.com where we can go deep on all things Coldplay. Whether we agree on other stuff we're here because we're passionate about Coldplay. oh dear I've gone all mushy.....Lets sing together..........kumbaya......
  10. Dianne, Tracy, and NVDMM.....you might a chuckle out of this: I was reading the original post and thinking, what a jerky thing to say ....everybody has different tastes in music....why is someone else's taste in pop music such a weird bone of contention with people. You think there are pages and pages of blogs in the art world with comments slagging off others peoples taste in painters like..... "You like David Hockney??? ....jeez you're such a sell-out, Basquiat is the only real Neo-expressionist, YA LOSER!!!!" Is it because pop music is appreciated by hot headed/naively opinionated 16 yr olds in much bigger numbers than, say, classical ballet??? I was going to write a rambling post self-righteously blathering on how immature people can be.... Then I remembered my husband's comment a couple of years ago that went something like this: "I really have lost respect for Chris....I mean the collaboration with Kanye???what a no-talent dumb***. And while I'm at it, what's his fascination with Bruce Springsteen... WTF??...I've never connected with that whole Jersey working-class stiff schtick, can Chris REALLY identify or is he just being a suck-up?" ...bblahblahblah OMG LOL, We're are completely guilty of being total musical bigots too, just the opposite of the artists NVDMM name checked. I think I need to re-examine my self-superior attitude in my old age. LOL
  11. But I love it!!!!!!! Is the video floating around the Gwynnie thread?
  12. Oh my gosh I just listened to Chinese Sleep Chant for the first time in ages and it made me queasy....in a good way.....wow I love that song so much I can't believe it. Glad we have this random thread so I can get that off my chest. Good Day.
  13. I haven't been on CPing as much as I want to lately, but I got back on just in time apparently! The "G" arm tattoo kiss is the single cutest thing I've seen Chrissie do. I love it.
  14. Good heavens it's been a long time since I posted here, my avatar is from XMas ?
  15. It is an awesome thing. And this will be the only time I won't complain that Chris refuses to waver an inch with the setlist during the tour.
  16. I was surprised by 2 things....no xylobands and Chris sounded half OK on a TV performance!!! Thank God for Charlie Brown.
  17. Picturing Chris having to use his guitar to block Rihanna and her pelvis seeking hip grind. Don't blink Chrissy.
  18. Hey Gianna! You're coming on the first night! I'm going to try again for the second night as they late-release some as well....crossing fingers for both of us! ~Kelly
  19. I recognize the blond guy in the Wembley shirt from the boat vid....super nice coldplayer!!.. ?Phil?....I think is his name..... Really great to see a Coldping.com shirt right up front eh?!
  20. Aaaaaaand, going. Husband says I am mental for paying up, and he's right. But it's gonna be FUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. I'm confused....they said that the announcement of the show dates is coming soon or the or the actual gig would be coming soon. Huuuuh? It's already freezing here, I'm ready to come to FL now!!!!!!!!
  22. Re; Daylight....watched the vid and Jonny ditched that guitar for another right after the caterwauling portion (ouch). Maybe that was the prob. Soooo great to hear something outside of the repetitive setlist.
  23. Hear, Hear.... but please don't lose the wristbands, they look so amazing! Love, Your Old Fan, Kelly
