EDIT: just preordered from amazon.co.uk :dance: the shipping to the US cost just about as much as the book, but i don't know if this would really show up in the US store, so i just went with preordering it from the UK :P. if it does show up for cheaper, i'll just cancel the UK order and order it from the US store :P

i feel a bit bad, since the leak was epic and all, but it's without a doubt the today show that gets my vote. it was so incredible being there, and i can never thank ian and jen enough :nice: (and thanks for the calendar mention, ian! :dance: :P)

it's just because of the hair. and really, if your son's hair is so beautiful, why bother cutting it when he's so little? i think he looks adorable, and i bet he'll want it cut soon enough anyway, probably when he starts school and all that. i love long hair on little boys :nice:

exactly. rather than labelling coldplay as uncool as so many others have done, here i think time magazine is saying that despite coldplay's HUGE popularity and huge sales, it's still considered generally uncool to be a coldplay fan in many venues. i think they're on our side, given that they said "go figure" :wink: for the record, though, i'm still at a loss as to why coldplay, and especially chris, are considered any more uncool than other soft rock bands or artists. it completely baffles me. (though i guess chris's quirkiness and jokeyness is a turn off to some people, and i know some people that don't know him have thought he was serious when he makes his funny outrageous comments about how awesome he and the band are, but really, if you just look a little deeper, you realize he's completely joking).

awww, what a cute photo :nice: yeah, as much as i like the whole GOOP idea, at least more than some people, i wish she would just stick to things like shopping and cooking, things that we know she knows how to do. the whoel "be" thing isn't even her, it's other people that she gets to write this stuff for her that she puts her seal of approval on, and it feels contrived to me. at least with the clothes, we know she knows her fashion.

i'd think it would be much better to be part of this thread, since that's where everyone already looks for project-related things, and it's stickied so it's always visible...no need to clutter up the forum with more threads about the same thing :wink: but since lore doesn't agree, we're just going to wait on it. i quite like the idea of a poll :D. i could easily add one to this thread so we could get an idea of how many were sent...do you think we should really wait, lore? i kinda would love to have an idea of how many cards might be waiting for the guys.

guys, i really wouldn't worry that much. i know it's a bit scary, but think how much mail everyone successfilly receives every single day...the odds that your cards are going to get lost or something are very small. i'd say that in general, most national postal services are pretty good at their jobs :wink: i'm more worried about the people that procrastinated, if their cards will get there in time and if they don't arrive in time for debs to deliver them, if and when she will have another chance to pass them on to the guys :worried:

^eh, i bet they're fine :D. there's no reason to assume they got lost, so i wouldn't worry too much. in the spirit of giving of today and with giving all my other gifts, i now especially can't wait to get a report back from debs! :nice: i was reminded of how nice it feels, and i'm so excited for this.

also...top 5 cities coldplay is likely to tour...in 2009? or just in general, like cities they've hit before?

they just know that debs is visiting that day, i'm pretty sure. hell, they might not even know yet, but i assume their manager or assistants or whatever will tell them a few days in advance that debs is coming round :dance:

there's a set drop-off date in her calendar (and the guys' calendars), but she hasn't told me it. i kind of like it like that, personally...it'll be a nice surprise when she gets back to us. otherwise i'd be counting down the days :lol: yeah, i think between 100 and 200 is a good number, like you said. if it was more than that, i doubt they'd really read them, but i think that's enough for them to know how hard we worked on it all and how thankful we are! :nice:

erm, well, i'm wearing PJs in the second pic. i wouldn't have even mentioned the PJs if i wasn't wearing them in that one :lol:

i wish i had an idea, but i don't. there are like 50+ in this thread, i would think, and then there's a bunch of people that didn't post their cards here, and a bunch of non-posting members and noobs, and then people from other sites that made cards. my guess is at least a hundred, but i wouldn't be surprised if there were more than that! i can't waiiiit to hear from debs :nice:
