Prospekt's March E.P. (LYRICS)
i found this on songmeanings for jay-z's part of lost+, if anyone's interested: Aha, I gotcha, uh... With the same sword they knight you, they gon' good night you with Shit, that's only half if they like you That ain't even the half what they might do Don't believe me, ask Michael See Martin, see Malcolm See Biggie, see Pac, see success and its outcome See Jesus, see Judas See Caesar, see Brutus, see success is like suicide Suicide, it's a suicide If you succeed, prepare to be crucified Media meddles, niggaz sue you, you settle Every step you take, they remind you you're ghetto So it's tough being Bobby Brown To be Bobby then, you have to be Bobby now And the question is, "Is to have had and lost Better than not having at all?" Because I'm...

If Coldplay were gone...?
i guess he didn't ever say "we'll release our 5th album in 2009" :P. it could just be a "release" like that, which is fine by me, especially because we've been so spoiled this year. but if it's a greatest hits with 2 or 3 new tracks, or another EP, that's amazing!

If Coldplay were gone...?
i wonder if we can hold them to the 2009 release? i mean, it was CHRIS that said it. we know his mouth. i just kind of wonder how likely it is, unless it's basically going to be another prospekt's march in the sense that it mostly consists of VLVOD leftovers. even if it isn't out till november or december 2009, when the HELL will they record all that? it seems like they're still going to be on the road for the better part of 2009 now. i'm thinking mid-2010 at the earliest, unless they really have a lot of it already in place.

snow!!!
it snowed like crazy today here in central PA! well, ok, not like CRAZY--it was like 1-1.5 inches max, and it all melted by like 1 PM anyway. but it was CRAZY for november in 2008, considering global warming. and the fact that last saturday here, it was over 75 degrees F! i woke up and i can see a rooftop out of my window and it was white. i was like "is it always white?" and then i noticed everything was covered in snow! i felt all christmassy today, but it's still a bit early. exactly one week until we're all ALLOWED to get christmassy! :santa:

If Coldplay were gone...?
 i suppose you're right. it's just that it was three years between X&Y and VLVOD, and i don't think they considered that very 'long' of a break. i would think 5 years might constitute a 'long enough' break to them before they got ants in their pants and itchy to create a new album. but VLVOD took over a year to record too, so who even knows? :P

debs just posted in the rules and guidelines thread that she didn't get the address from the post office today, but she'll call them on monday to see what's up  she's so awesome :nice:. what other band's management and employees would be this awesome? what other BAND would be this awesome? man, i love these guys (meaning their entire team ).

:cheesy: thanks, debs! you're awesome for keeping us in the know like this. as maya said, the entire coldplay team spoils us to no end, and this is what we intend this project to be about: saying thanks to ALL of you :D -chelsea

How many people around you are crazy about Coldplay?
no one i physically see in my everyday life is as crazy about them as i am, not even close. however, most of my friends like them, and have the big hits on their ipods. many of them have seen them in concert on either this tour or the X&Y tour. they like them, but say they can't listen for them too long because chris's voice gets annoying or all the songs sound the same. idiots. but my mom was the one to originally get me into coldplay--she played AROBTTH like it was the only album on earth for about a month back in 2003. she's not coldplay-crazy, but she's pearl jam-crazy, so she gets my obsession :D and as of this summer, i've converted my brother into a pretty big coldplay fan. he's not like we are on this site, really, but he got all screechy and girly about the recent SNL performance and currently thinks "glass of water" is the best thing in the world :P

Chris Martin To Play Banjo With Miley Cyrus
THANK YOU, MO. i've been trying to say the same thing in the "retirement" thread for days now. it actually somewhat bothers me that fans STILL believe every word that comes out of his mouth even though we know better by now than to really listen to him (the oracle seemed to agree with me, too ). chris likes to say these sorts of things as jokes, and he's always said them--remember when he talked about them all sitting around sewing earlier this year, or when he went on about his ambien habit, or when he said they were all going to quit coldplay to grow watermellons? it's like playing with his food: he's playing with the reporters, because he knows they'll report whatever he says. i think he does it because it's his personality to say slightly outrageous things to be funny, and because he likes playing mindgames with the media. i would do the same in his position, really.

If Coldplay were gone...?
i think this is likely too, but the long break will KILL me :dead: :P how long do you think a long break is? i have to say i don't think it would be any more than 5 years...i don't think even they could wait that long or occupy themselves with collabs for that long . i think they love each other and the band too much to go away for more than 5 years.

there's an official fanmail address, which is escaping my mind at the moment, but i can get it to you if you'd like. i was thinking about putting that one in the first post, but inevitably, people would get confused about which one of the two addresses to send to

If Coldplay were gone...?
i don't think it's going to happen for at LEAST 5 more years. i feel like we'll see LP6 or LP7 before they'd seriously go into retirement. and even then, i bet they'd retire for like 10 years and then make a comeback album. i think we all know that there's ZERO reason for them to retire: as far as we know, things are great between the bandmembers, they love their jobs and their music, they're successful, and they're still growing. even logically, they've just got a new studio, chris is still writing, they say "the best is yet to come" etc etc. it's just not happening. but if and when the day comes (i think they might never quit, like U2 or the rolling stones :P), i'll be very, very upset, no matter how old i am at the time. they've made such a huge impact on my life that it'll be almost impossible to comprehend that there won't be any more of that inspiration coming.

ok, i posted something up there in the thread. its very wordy, but i hope it gets the point across. i just think no matter where we put the address (unless we ONLY email it, which i think is a bit unfair to others that might want to send cards and has a huge chance of getting some people left out), we're going to run the risk of other things being sent there. i think as long as we make it clear that this address is only for the project (meaning un-enveloped postcards), it's the best we can do. :D

no address yet, but we anticipate it soon  in the first post, i added a paragraph about how debs will ONLY ACCEPT POSTCARDS RELATED TO THE PROJECT at this address. no packages, parcels, large envelopes, demos, or anything other than POSTCARDS will be seen by the band. keep in mind that debs has gone out of her way to set up this P.O. box for us for the project only, and that in order to maintain a good relationship with her and for things like this to work well in the future, we can't abuse her kindness. there is another address for everything else to be sent to which would work just as well, since debs is only dropping off the postcards to the guys. so, don't even think about sending anything but un-enveloped postcards .

contact plastic? is that what it's called? i never knew! i tend to call it "sticky plastic" :P. i tend to mess it up when i put it on stuff, though :\ i'm going to write in the rules and guidelines thread underneath the space for the address that only postcards will be accepted at this address, and that everything else will be disregarded, so don't even think about it :P.

and about printing the card: you can just try printing on both sides, as said above. but what i did is just print the back and the front seperately. i'm going to paste them together and then cover them in protective plastic so they don't get smudged :D.

the multimedia section isn't members only, unless the policy has changed. before i was a member here, i used that section exclusively to download b-sides. then one day i had a question so i signed up here to post it, and the rest is history. :D i don't think we should worry too much about the PO box. of course there's the tendancy to abuse it, but the next time lore and i talk to her we'll ask her to get rid of anything that's not obviously part of the project. there will always be that risk, so i don't really think we should worry ourselves over it. my plan was to post the address in this thread and in the rules and guidelines thread once we got it, then ask ian to put up semy's banner advertising the project. we don't think it's possible for ian to PM every member of the board, but it IS possible for him to email them, we're pretty sure. i plan to ask him if that would be a good course of action :D. i'm sad that we didn't get the address today, but i also knew it. if she doesn't send it along by monday afternoon EST, we're asking her again

snow!!!
this morning when i was walking back from arabic class, it was snowing. "now my feet don't touch the ground" happened to just come up on my ipod, and it was so beautiful that i was like half crying. people must have thought i was a loon, walking around crying like that

something tells me we'll have to remind her to send us the address, but it should be less of a problem getting ahold of her this time because she shouldn't be on vacation AGAIN! :P

AND EVERYONE KEEP THEIR EYES PEELED ON THE FIRST POST IN THIS THREAD FOR AN ADDRESS. We might get it tomorrow!. if not tomorrow, then it could go up any day. We're going to try our best to post it in multiple places so everyone's aware. I'm trying to see if Ian can PM everyone and put up Semy's banner so EVERYONE knows :D
