YAAAY! :dance: i thought i was insane, actually, but in hearing it about 7 times since thinking of it, i can't deny that it basically IS the opening of COL! :P. originally my brother was watching TV and i heard that noise and my head snapped up because i thought COL was on TV for some reason...my goodess. i order coldplay tickets tomorrow, or attempt to. even though i'm somewhat of a master at this...i'm really REALLY nervous that i won't get anything. i had a shit day today and i think i'll just be 100% crushed if i don't get anything...:confused:

ahhh yammy! that's AWESOME!! i'll be there too :nice: and yes, we do need a new recording slave, but the today show will also have several videos up on their page for quite a while, so i don't think we have to worry too too much :D

i post in this thread too much :dozey: i was just watching TV, and a commercial for a playstation 3 game came on. and at the end of every playstation game commercial, they show the playstation 3 logo for about a second and play this signature noise with it...every console has one of these noises that automatically makes you think of the game system. ANYWAY, my point is that the playstation 3 signature noise to me sounds SHOCKINGLY like the opening to "cemetaries of london"/the very end of "life in technicolor." it made me laugh :laugh4: and on facebook, my brother randomly sent me this huge bumpersticker that says "I LOVE CHRIS" in very large letters :P. i highly doubt it was originally intended for mr. martin, but hey, it works :D

i don't even want to click that. i figure it'll just get me very angry. eeesh, this page has FOX news ads on it because of the context. get me OUT!

i know, but it sounded so AMAZING! i still can't get over that voice to this day. of course i don't want chris to destroy his voice, because that's definitely what would happen, but it's one of my big coldplay wishes, for chris to have the parachutes voice again.

fox news is basically the devil, in my opinion :P and bill o'reilly is the ringmaster. ohhh, i can hardly convey my hatred of that man. for some reason, the fact that he's calling for chris to be on the show really makes me angry. unfortunately, i think o'reilly would bury chris. not that i think this is going to happen, but GAH.

i agree with pretty much every single thing save for the part about this being the finest vocal performance from chris yet. i think that was parachutes, 100%. i wish there was some way he could hit that same level and sound again. thanks for this! :dance:

NO. i don't want chris anywhere near that man. i completely agree with your first paragraph, but if i was going to hate anyone that wasn't a murderer or something, #1 on that list would be bill o'reilly. i can't STAAAAND this man, and i know i'd just end up pissed off if chris ever was to go on there, and chris would probably end up angry and upset, just like almost every smart person that goes on that show. i think i want to go punch bill o'reilly even more now for calling chris a pinhead, a) because he's dead wrong, and b) i use the word pinhead all the time and will probably now have to stop using that word simply because he uses it so much.

eeee, i want to go nowwwwww :P i mean, its kind of weird how i want to go, because it's just looking at the outside of some random building that you can barely even see, but its still cool to me. i'm glad i'm not the only one that thinks so, anyway :D

yeah, i wanted to go too, but i had plans. yeah, i mean it's not THAT unlikely for vampire weekend to open for them since coldplay are big fans, but theyre getting pretty big (and therefore busy) in their own right, so we'll see. assuming i got tickets for NJ, i'd die :dead: hell, if that's the case, i'd be willing to pay quite a bit more for my ticket on stubhub or the like.

if they somehow manage to get vampire weekend by the time they hit NJ in october i may wet myself. just a wild dream, though.

i hope they never do stadiums. you can't see a damn thing unless you have the seats that cost $1000. i saw the rolling stones in a football stadium, pretty far out there, and there was actually a SOUND DELAY from when mick jagger opened his mouth and the time the sound wave got to me at the other end of the stadium. i mean, they were great because they had this moving stage that moved to the opposite end of the stadium, so i was really close at one point, but really. you shouldnt have a sound delay at concerts due to SHEER DISTANCE from the stage. mick jagger and his leather pants looked like a damn ant in leather pants :P

haha! you know, i didn't think of that, but that MUST be what it's for! i think chris still looks pretty normal, but guy...wow. and i still maintain that chris did something subtle to his teeth. they look a bit different to me in some indiscernible way.

it's lovely to see them out of all black! and boy, did they lose a lot of weight! neither chris or guy (the most obvious two that lost weight to me) needed to lose it, i don't think, but wow, theyre skinny. thanks for these :D

even though i really wish that they could have gotten david rossi and/or a string quartet to go on tour with them, i really like terry vision. i also like that he has a name and a given purpose...i guess i'm not the only one that tends to name inanimate objects in fits of insanity :P you're right, justin, it does remind me a bit of the globe!

i ordered the red VLV one :nice: i think it'll get to my house in time for me to wear it to the today show, too! usually, on the *real* tour for most bands, there are more shirts than are available on the website. that was the case with the X&Y tours, so i think it might be the same for this one once it really kicks off :D. love the ones so far, but i'm hoping for more ones like these!

i got mine today!! i had to drive 20-30 miles from the very tip of long island to the end of the middle to find any sort of store that would sell it, but i have it! :dance: no picture of me with it until next week, because i'm sunburned and grotty and my hair's not in its tame state (what's the point of straightening it when you're at the beach?), but i'll have one up next week fo' sho'. nice pics, everyone!! :nice:

ANNIE!!! omg. you DID it?! this MUST be what you wanted to tell me...damn me being on vacation!! but YAAAAAY and i'm SOO proud of you! :dance: :D in other, less significant news, I GOT MY VLVOD TODAY!! :dance: i had to drive about 30 miles out to civilization, but i found an FYE and bought it :D. it was surprisingly exciting, given that i've heard all the songs on the thing a million times. i was even listening to my leaked, burned-CD copy in the car on the way to getting it, but there's just something about buying a real, hard album from someone that you love...:nice:
