WONDERFUL job!! :D i also rather liked that hannah girl's question about the most frequently-played song...and the first guy on the phone was AMERICAN! i should have put up my number...i SO would have paid for it if it was coldplay calling me, i don't care if it is $3 a minute. but oh my GOD, i think this is the interview i laughed most at. chris doing the american accent...i think i almost wet myself. NAAAAHTY...oh man. i'm still dying. and the thing where he does the breathy nervous voice about the drama over the american tour...ohhhhh goodness. i just crack up. and the tattoo thing with will, i love how he got all defensive and squeaky. hahaha, oh will. this is my favorite VLVOD interview for the hilarosity factor, and because jamie's in it! this and ben jones now...:D

before i leave for the night, i'd like to ask one more time: is there anyone who can record this for all of us that can't get up at 5AM? pleeeeeeease? i'll be pretty gutted if i can't hear this ever, especially now that jamie's on, and i'm sure there are hundreds more coldplayers that agree with me. if anyone's going to listen in from their computer that knows how to record, could they pleeeeease?!

haha, well the newsflash is that the band themselves confirmed that it's eno, so i trust what they say, i guess. but even with official confirmation...to me it sounds like chris EXACTLY, i compltely agree :D. i'm still somewhat in denial that it's not chris, in all honesty... and i still find this hysterically funny. :laugh3:

^it all depends what shipping method you choose. i chose the normal, cheapest shipping method, and they said it'll probably get to me on the 21st or so. i don't know if the vinyl LPs are less of a priority than the CDs (they probably are), but i'm almost positive that everything relies on the shipping method :D. you probably either chose a better shipping method than i did, or the CDs are much more of a priority than the LPs.

AND itunes and ipods themselves by doing so. i'm not really complaining, since i have a more lax attitude towards bands lending their music to commercials etc, but i find it interesting that they were always so against this before, and now it's come up once. that's all. i just really don't think an album from anyone less than U2 or radiohead or someone like that (...or high school musical or hannah montana :rolleyes:) will keep VLVOD out of the #1 slot for at least a week. think of all the presales themselves! this thing has broken records already, so i'm really not worried. but really, the numbers mean nothing anyway. we know it's good, so i don't think we should bother with the sales numbers or the reviews.

more of the coldplaying "regulars" do need to join it though...for a board with 30,000 members or so, the group is very small...

i really REALLY liked the death cab album, more than most people, so i'm having a hard time saying which is better. i think they're about the same in terms of what they do for the artists and what they were trying to do... my point is that if DCFC got 4 stars, than coldplay should too, but i can't say i'm really complaining about the 3.5. that's the avereage for well-loved albums by the fanbase these days. i think this is an AMAZINGLY well-loved album by the fanbase, a loved album for most casual listeners and new fans, and a liked album by the critics. that's how these things usually work, and in that sense, i think that 3.5 is acceptable.

i felt exactly the same way. i think about 90-95% of the bad american image is because of our government, period. i get so happy when someone foreign realizes that americans are NOT their government and are NOT (always) the stereotype. to have a person that i already look up to in terms of creativity, morals, causes, personality, etc etc realize this and put it so well and perhaps get some other people thinking the same way...it means a hell of a lot.

and DCFC's narrow stairs. that was 4/5.

aww, this is like exactly like me, minus the sleeping pill thing. my brain only seems to churn out its best stuff after 1AM. and then i say to myself "no, i really should be sleeping..." and write all these notes down that i can barely read in the morning. figures.

hahahaha, oh man. i think on LP5, there NEEDS TO BE MORE COWBELL :P i expected 3.5 stars, but i had high hopes. whatever, they're usually pretty good reviews; not nearly as snarky as other places. i do trust them on the most part, even though i do disagree on occasion. either way, i'm looking forward to reading it, and i think the painting that they're almost guaranteed to do could be nice too :D

i love how the lyrics to chinese sleep chant are missing :dozey: i think i'm getting close to what they might be, but i'd like some somewhat official confirmation of what they are before i go thinking i'm right.

the 12th thing is only a rumor, we're pretty sure. about the shipping: i pre-ordered the vinyl LP of VLVOD on amazon, which is released on the same day, the 17th. i looked up when it would arrive at my house on standard shipping (because i'm on vacation all next week and am pretty worried that i'll have a melted blob of black plastic on my driveway that was once VLVOD when i return home), and it said the earliest it would get there was the 21st. i don't know if that's helpful or not, but it's what they said for me :smiley:

ouchies :sad:. poor chrissy! glad to see he's not cancelling anything for it though--i think that just goes to show that the rearranged tour dates aren't because of the band themselves. if chris is going to do a show in pain, then i figure that the tour production really was in a shambles and not fit to go on in any form. haha, gwyneth did a similar thing during iron man! jeez, the paltrow-martins need to get some better footing :P. remember in the live 2003 tour diary when chris was complaining about his leg, which was all wrapped up in an ACE bandage? i'm suprised he hasn't done something this bad sooner, really. not that i wanted him to or anything, of course not. but like semy said, maybe the vocals will get slightly better...or knowing chris, he'll just go on like nothing's happened.
