hahaha, tracie, i think the waiting is getting to you already!

interestingly enough, for me, the non-radiohead fan (at the time...well, i sorta liked them), i LOVED it at first listen. blew me away. at the time, i didn't have high speed internet, though (:angry:), so once my friend told me how to download it, after work 2 days after the release i went to the library and downloaded it, then put it straight on my computer when i got home. aaaaaand played it nonstop for about 3 months :D yeah, this time i plan to listen to it when it leaks in the wee hours of the morning, by myself in the dark :dance:

this is my plan: wake up at 6:15, get dressed and ready for the day, be at my computer by 7, LISTEN AT 7:15, download immediately after (providing site traffic isn't too too bad), tear it apart with 'yall until 8:30, then go to breakfast and class with it on repeat on my ipod :D all of this is done either at my desk or on my bed using my best headphones :dance: hmm, i wonder what i should wear...:P (just kidding, of course)

aww, well minus the stomach bug, that does sound awesome! because VLVOD will be out earlier than expected in the UK, i wonder where i'll be when i first listen to it through a leak...probably in my room, very early in the morning! i guess that's sort of similar then :D

ok then. i just hope you don't end up losing money, because i think the odds for this concert in particular aren't in our favor ;)

Radiohead did it in a very special and very, VERY costly way. if i wasn't so lazy i'd find the article that describes the process, but in essence each person had their own wire for downloading IR (or something like that). i highly doubt the same will be true for coldplay tomorrow, and i;m anticipating HUGE site traffic. urgh. thanks, tracie, for still recording it! we'll luuuuurve you forever if you do!

^i kind of hope you're kidding, because no one should be relying on this. it's going to be a madhouse.

hey, if it's a listen, it's a listen. i'd do it on a city street if i had to, but you're right, it's MUCH better in private.

friday, june 27. starts at 7AM, but we've got to be there at like 4 if we want to see anything. my sleep schedule is going to be SOO whack that week, because the very next day i fly to amsterdam. oh goodness. well it's for COLDPLAY!! :dance:

yeah, if i was in high school still, i'd be devastated, because i would have already been out the door and on my way to school by the time it was played. i suppose thats the one advantage of being in college :rolleyes: and it IS 7:15 in CT. there seems to be too much confusion over this. can you sneak to teh library and listen to it in a free period on a computer?

well, what time would you have to wake up normally? i say wake up, listen/download, and then go back to bed if you have to. and i would say it's most DEFINTIELY worth it, because i'm getting up 1.5 hours early and not going back to sleep, but that's just me.

^:dance: hmm, anyone else think there will be severe site traffic on the new coldplay.com tomorrow as we all try to download it RIGHT at the time it's available? i think that might hinder things a bit...

it's not playing at 5 for you, it's playing at 7! (i live in CT too, even though i'm in PA now for uni, and the time zone is the same as the one here). does that make your decision easier? GET UP FOR IT!!

"hoping" is the operative word in the poll option i selected. i'm not expecting much luck. my usual ticket to sleep is AROBTTH, but tonight that'll just make me MORE excited! not that i want this to be any later, but if it was just two weeks later, i would TOTALLY pull an all-nighter for this, no question. heh, i'm listening to coldplay right now. i really don't think it'll spoil anything for me as long as i don't overdo it...it acutally gets me more excited! (well, maybe that's a bad thing...i'm close to combustable levels, here).

COLDPLAY WEEK! i'm definitely doing the today show, and MSG providing i can get tickets, which i'm doubtful about, but ohmygod, seeing them twice in a week?! i thought i was lucky to see them twice in a YEAR... i think for the free shows, they might just do a run-through of the entire album, wheras when their offical tour gets kicked off, they'll change it up with parachutes, AROBTTH, and X&Y songs thrown in the mix.

eh, well i'm going to TRY to sleep because i do have classes that day, but i don't think i'm going to be very successful. i also think that if i lived alone i would try to do an all nighter vigil with you, but my roommate might get a bit peeved even though she sleeps like a rock. besides, i think she'd definitely think i've gone insane. which i have, but there's no need for the people here to know that. but i WILL be rising out of bed at 6:15, will be ready for the day by 7, and will be listening to violet hill by 7:15!! :dance:

yeahh, i'm getting worried that if i can't see them at this free show, that i won't be able to really see them at all this summer save for the today show. that is, unless they're playing amsterdam on a weekend in july, or if they're doing london on august 2 or 3, or if they do their CT and/or NYC dates on the tour after august4! :dance: (but what are the odds that any of those requests will be met, given that i want them?)

agh, tracie, even thinking about those small number of hours until we hear new notes from coldplay gives me a heart attack. i just...ohmygod, i can't wait.

^if they do then they're big fat jerks, because they didn't pay anything for them and will be making 100% profit. i figure some will be, though, yeah. for me that's only a last resort, but really if i'm going to pay for it, i might as well just go to the MSG or other CT concert on their regular tour, one that not so many people ar vying to get into as much.

obsessed isn't the word for me, but i do really really really love it. i still like X&Y the best out of all their covers so far, but they've all been absolutely great!

but the official email sent today says it's both titles together. i think that they just didn't put the subtitle on the cover because it's a subtitle and it would mess up the way the cover looks.

even though i was a tiny bit skeptical, i beleived that post at the time, mostly. i guess because EMI was the source, but yeah. i also really hated it at the time! :laugh4: but for some reason, with the title on there all cool like that with the paint splatters makes it damn awesome!
