i have a slight hope that every day when i sit down at my computer, i'll find that someone found a legit leak and that i'll have VLVOD in my hands. i find myself weighing the odds as i walk back to my room on most days.

i've thought about it, and i do agree with you there. but my thinking isn't really going that far in the future yet...i just want the damn thing; everything else can be considered after. besides, i think around the time that i begin to get tired of it, it'll be june 17 and i'll have an entire album of songs to overplay and annoy my family with! :dance: and that tracklist was interesting...i think my coldplay favorites have generally remained pretty consistent, which is a bit odd, since my radiohead and beatles favorites etc changed every week. i tend to just find more songs that i love and add them to the playlist rather than getting tired of old ones. but i have literally crates filled with my old beatles favorites mix CDs. this was before the invention of the ipod, and i burned a CD every week or two :rolleyes:

i'm hoping it's on a radio station that i can stream from the internet, because i sincerely doubt that they'll have it on american radio that day too. i've already worked out how to stream XFM, so that would be good if it's on there...then i can hook my computer up to my stereo and do a crappy .WAV recording when it comes on, just in case no one else does. i'll die if i just hear the song once and there's no way of physically having even a bad-quality version on my ipod.

oohers! well if this is 100% true, then i guess there's almost a guaranteed leak of VLV the friday before (:dance:). this is why i wonder why popular bands (all bands, not just coldplay) don't just release the album worldwide on the same day. it saves the headaches and a bit of money over the leaks and filesharing that's inevitable. it just all seems kind of illogical to me from a planning and logistical point of view.

better things by south i think it's AMAZING. can't wait for the rest of the album next week.

ooh, well i'm definitely a fan and i appreciate their work, but its a bit harder than the other sorts of music i listen to. my mom, now SHE'S a fan. she's as obsessive about PJ as i am about coldplay. posters of them in the house, framed tickets, multiple books, all the albums and everything they've ever done etc etc. i've been kind of innundated with them my whole life, so that's probably where my fandom comes from. i'm going to see them on june 27th though! :dance: it'll be my first time seeing them (even though i tried twice before and had to cancel at the last minute :shifty:), but probably my mom's 20th time. my ultimate favorite PJ song is "undone," no question.

guess what i bought yesterday?! a JUMBO TUBE of pringles. i didn't even know they made them. it's only a bit bigger than the regular tubes, but really. the can claims it's 25% more, which i'm very excited about. i might post a pic of it later, but i got kind of excited in the store when i found it and my friend laughed at me :laugh4: oh oh, and two nights ago my roommate IMed me from the library saying that she was going to be back really late, and i said that was OK because i wasn't being productive anyway. and she said "let me guess: you're watching hot fuzz and eating pringles?" and i just about died laughing. because that's me in a nutshell right there. and i agree wholeheartedly with justin!

ooh that is interesting! thanks for that! i definitely think that "viva la vida" and "postcards" are underneath the censor bars there. i would also add that in december 2007, will put his zany video up on the site, where there were TWO instances of the phrase "viva la vida," which is more hinting towards it being the eventual title and therefore a track on the album :D

hmm. i'm skeptical yet hopeful all the same. is that possible? well, what i mean is that i'm not getting my hopes up, but i'm still looking forward to it just in case it is true. i mean, it is early, but if they might be giving us another track as well through the website or whatever, they might just be making htis one early to space out the releases. who knows though? surprisingly, i don't have an exam on may 6, but it is a studay day for my astronomy and astrophysics final that thursday and my art paper due thursday as well. in that case, if this is true, i can make a tiny window of time to come on here and rip it apart with y'all :D

legendary is one word for her...:rolleyes: nah, she can be a damn cool mom. other times she's just as annoying as hell. i do have to credit her with my love of coldplay though, or at least partly, so i suppose that's why she comes up quite a bit. i often wonder what they would name their third kid if they have one...

luckily, i had a very nice warning that told me not to have a heart attack when i came back and found the thread. otherwise i'd be releasing a stream of curses and tears on your ass right now. the thread title would have sent me into cardiac arrest, but i do wonder whether or not i would have believed it once i saw the youtube link...:thinking:

i plan to download the leak if there is one, but i'm also DEFINITELY buying a hard copy and the vinyl release when/if there is one. but i love love love this idea, melanie!! i for one have huge guilt problems, so i would most definitely do that if i wasn't going to get the physical release, and i probably will anyway :wink: i have in the past, at least. i only paid 1 pound for in rainbows because i wasn't really a huge radiohead fan at that point, and while i did feel bad about it, i didn't really feel the guilt until i fell head-over-heels completely in love with it. then i gladly bought the discbox :D

the title has definitely grown on me. i guess it just took some getting used-to. but i don't care what they name it, i just WANT it! :dance:

hahaha, what a trivia show question! my mom calls gwyneth and chris "the parents of the fruit and the bible-figure." she hardly ever refers to them by their real names anymore :rolleyes: i'm all for original names, though celebrity kids already have a strike against them and are singled out...in some ways it seems almost cruel to make them even more noticable.

yeah, same. it's occasionally really fun to dress up, i think, as long as i don't do it too much. twice a year is good for me--more than that it just gets tiresome and annoying. senior week just about killed me last year: i had to buy 5 dresses and wear one just about every day, along with hair, makeup, contacts...blargh. give me jeans and a t-shirt any day. but i like dressing up a lot when i like the way all my efforts come off. i think that's happened twice for me, really. the best was when i got my hair cut off and got contacts the day of my junior prom and didn't tell anyone, so when i showed up, no one had any clue who i was at all, and there were lots of double-takes and :freak: faces. it was so much fun to mess with people like that! :laugh3:

skeptical as well, i'm afraid.

if i was bad enough, i would be seriously tempted to put in ridgefield, CT as a tour stop. not that there's ANYWHERE they can possibly play there, but i'd gladly let people sit on my lawn to watch if they would give the concert in my garage. ohhh goodness, guys, PLEASE no one mess with this! i don't want to have to start second-guessing the official site's news too...

^AMENDMENT: hmm. well you can mess with it a little. NOT good. i really, really hope no one does, because that's just not right, and they're going to make a lot of people confused, disappointed, and upset if this truly is what i think it is. i kind of want them to see we can access this ASAP so they can fix it and everyone can't access it anymore, because this could get ugly. not to mention in SERIOUS trouble.

:stunned: how the HELL did you come across that? and if this truly means anyone can mess around with the site, this could be very, VERY bad. if you don't need a password to update it or anything...i forsee SEVERAL new 2008 stars in the future :confused: EDIT: ok, semy and i have been messing with it a bit, and it kicks you out every time you try to do something serious, like post something, so at least that's a good sign. no fake stars or anything, or at least it's not likely. still: really interesting find! :D

amendment: i try to cover up the fact that i'm a nerd. i think in lots of respects i am one! geek, yes, but nerdiness is something i've tried to work around a bit.
