kristen holden-reid is the SPITTING IMAGE of chris in my opinion. i know that's not guy, but it's too freakish not to mention.

haha, well "proud" isn't the word...it was more just like a gut feeling. and it took some convincing for me, until both the hand-spelling AND the lip-reading fell into place. i find the whole thing hilarious :dance: i didn't see you saying anything on it, sem. but really, pages 36 through 44 are a riot. to me, anyway. i love looking back on things and thinking back to what i thought then in comparison to now.

hahha, someone else besides me just HAS to go back and read the posts in the "NEW STARS ON COLDPLAY.COM" threads starting on page 36, because it's more hilarosity. i don't want to bump that thread (from the third page!) because people will get heart attacks and think that there is actually a new star, but really, the speculation about "yes, there are secret messages in will's video" and "no there are NOT secret messages in will's video" and "viva la vida MUST be the album title" and "NO, viva la vida will NOT be the album title" has me in stitches now. i'm particularly impressed with my own flip-flopping on the matter: originally i saw the hands spelling something, even though i didn't know what, but i initially thought they were just having fun and not leaving us secret messages :laugh1:. a few posts later, though, i was completely convinced that VLV was the album title! sorry, but i just find all of this hilarious, and i don't want to bump that thread and give people heart attacks.

yeah, there are a bunch of famous people in the movie, actually. but i warn you that it's one of the most poorly written movies i've ever come across, despite the spectacular acting and even more spectacular music. so, bono is dr. robert forever for me, i'm afraid. and if you look at the old thread that i bumped today called "it's a pub scrawl for chris" from last june, you'll see that he had written "VIVA [something]" on his shoe one drunken night. i love fitting all these little pieces together!

^if you go back in the "NEW STARS ON COLDPLAY.COM" thread and look at posts from november 7, 2007 and after, you'll see all of us tearing it apart :D we did notice the viva la vida thing, and a bunch of us (*raises hand*) were convinced that it would be the album title as well :dance:

i didn't think they did at all until we got certain songs on X&Y. i think speed of sound is reminiscent of clocks, low and white shadows are similar, what if and X&Y are similar, till kingdom come and green eyes a little bit...but this doesn't make me like them less in the slightest! i just hope they improve on some of the things that they did on X&Y even though i love that album. lots of my friends say their songs sound the same, but i think they're crazy. then again, i can think of several well-respected bands that i think all their songs sound the same. i mean, i like that one song or whatever, but i just have a hard time getting into them. it just depends what you like, i guess.

YES!! :D when chris does all his hand signs, it spells out that, and towards the end when will is being crazy, he mouths the words "VIVA LA VIDA." you HAVE to check it out again! semy: i have to say that "doctor robert" is my least favorite song on the album! i just generally don't connect with story songs from any artist nearly as much as the others. though coldplay's never done it, so it would be interesting to hear! and now because of the movie across the universe, i simply can't think of or hear "doctor robert" without thinking of bono, who played dr. robert in the movie :P

i know, but this is like the second or third time that i've completely missed something! :laugh4: i know it's not anything to be ashamed of, it just freaks me out :P postcards from far away is DEFINTIELY my favorite title out of every single other one we've been told about. i'm going to be pretty sad if we never get to hear it in any form. lukas sounds cool as well, but i kind of hope it's not a story song about a made-up character. i tend to get a bit annoyed by those.

i think i'm turning into a moron. this is what excitement does to me. for some reason, though, lukas didn't stick in the brain :rolleyes: and Obsessive Coldplay Disorder is defintely the sort of OCD i have these few months!

i agree with you about 42 popping up EVERYWHERE now! it's funny that all of a sudden it's more noticable than ever. umm, i'm being incredibly stupid, i know, but...what does "lucas" have to do with anything?

unfortunately, my new sig definitely is the limit of my photoshop ability. i was trying like crazy to figure out how to make the background transparent rather than just all white or whatever, but after about 5 minutes i realized that i could just bucket-paint the background the same color as the forums background. i really can be a pinhead :dozey: this is obviously waaaaay more than i could ever manage! though i can draw a mean yellow submarine...and the obama logo. that's it :P

oooh, i like it semy! :dance: i love the color (well, it's violet, but a nice violet) and the splatters and everything make it really cool! i don't know how you do these things...as you well know, my photoshop abilities are limited to cropping and adding text to things :rolleyes: now i know what will show up on my ipod every time i listen to it if they don't give us single artwork! :D

they like the wham-bang openers, don't they? i was kind of hoping for something a bit different, but hey, if it's good, then i don't care at all. but i suppose a nice ease-into-it sort of opener like "don't panic" would have been nice too.

i know! we so wanted info, and some things were there for the taking, like the shoe message or the messages in will's video (i still purport that once we say "viva la vida" in the video twice, i was convinced that was the album title :P), but i love playing detective and fitting all these little things together :D

we're watching the movie jefferson in paris in one of my classes, and i didn't know a very young gwyneth paltrow is in it, playing thomas jefferson's daughter! in the movie, she decides to become a nun, and my professor laughed when she did and said something to the effect of "i don't think it's possible for gwyneth paltrow to actually become a nun, not with those two crazy-named kids she's got running around!" which of course made me think of chris :P

wow, that photo really makes sense now! DanielColdplay22 was right on with the word "VIVA," and now everything clicks together! i love it when that happens :nice:

oh. my. god. :stunned: i remember when we first got this pic like months ago, and we were all speculating on what chris wrote on his shoe. i can't remember what we speculated though! i think i'm going to need to do a little detective work to find out if we actually saw the word "viva" in it back then! now it all makes sense. i love when things all connect together! :dance:
