  1. my friend just sent me an email about "homecoming" (she likes kanye) "i really adore chris martin compilations. coldplay bores me sometimes but when he works with other people, its EPIC." HAHA. i agree about his compilations, but coldplay will NEVER bore me :)
  2. ...i actually like homecoming :stunned: this is something that i usually would never admit publically because i have never liked a rap/hip hop song before, but...i like homecoming. of course, chris is the one that makes it brilliant for me, but even if it wasnt chris in the song...i hate to say it, but i think i still would like it as a song. its...catchy. the piano is brilliant. chriss voice is beautiful (as usual). oh man. what is the world coming to now that i like a hip hop song?
  3. yes, how long did mixing X&Y take?? i know it took a long time to get out, but how much of that time was mixing?? if they pull a radiohead, id die of happiness. and it totally IS like a drug!! i need my coldplay fix ASAP. if i dont have it by like, march, i think i may spontaneously combust. a leak would be WONDERFUL. it wouldnt make me not buy the album; i plan to DL it the second it becomes available on itunes, even if i have to stay up all night, AND but a hardcopy CD, and then the vinyl as well at some point. i just NEEEEEED COLDPLAY.
  4. was in the mall today and i was passing the apple store when i saw the window display. they have these three HUGE fake new ipod nanos in the window, and on the blue nano there's a picture of chris!! i HAD to go in of course. on all the pictures of the new ipod nano in the store, chris is on the screen! he was everywhere i looked! and as i was passing one of the tables the speed of sound video was playing on one of the ipods, so of course i had to put on the headphones and listen to it. also, parachutes is the BEST album to drive to at night.
  5. Chris finally says something about the album was reading the new issue of rolling stone the other day and came across this and screamed in delight: of course, its not any conclusive info, but i was quite happy to hear a BANDMEMBER say something about the upcoming LP4 rather than just prospekt or other people. SO. EXCITED.

  7. i totally agree. they set up the house all pristine like that on purpose. its SUPPOSED to look not very homey, etc. and houses like that are very rarely homey and cozy. its just how that lifestyle runs. many of my friends live in such houses, and it always feels more like a museum or an art exhibit than a HOUSE. but often there are "living quarters" in the back or wherever, certain rooms that are homey and messy, but they would never put those in such a magazine!!! however, i would kill to see everyday life in the Martin household!! i did think all the white was a bit creepy. very '80's. and besides, that's not the house that theyll spend a lot of time in. they live mostly in london now; this is just a summer house that theyll come to on occasion. amagansett and most of the easternmost part of long island COMPLETELY shuts down after like september anyway. i think it would be a very lonely place to live year-round. i bet their london house is a bit less done-up and a bit more cozy than the amagansett one.
  8. id kill to know which house is theirs. i have a house in montauk, which is right down the road from amagansett. i wouldnt STALK them or anything, id just like to know which one is their house so i can smile when i drive by or something. beautiful house. apples room is adorable! i cant wait to see the good night, too.
  9. i completely agree. i actually became semi angry once i saw the photos. damn paparazzi. im glad chris was sleeping in two of those photos so he didnt realize that he was having his picture taken. what a horror: having to go through losing a family member AND having to put up with people taking your picture. i think thats just wrong. the whole thing is very sad, and im very sorry for chris and his family. i know which pic youre talking about! stupidly, though, i always thought it was on the london eye, but now that you said that it looks more like an airport. everything aside, though, chris is adorable when he sleeps.
  10. oh god this is hard. mine shuffle a bit from time to time, but mainly its: 1. see you soon 2. the scientist 3. clocks/shiver/yellow (it changes too much!)
  11. oh, but i have so many!! if i had to choose one, though, i think i'd pick... "home, home, where i wanted to go..." i could go on and on though.
  12. good idea. coldplay are always lucky. :D
  13. I'm terrified of it being a let-down, or something i'm not to thrilled about hearing. im not really looking for a duplicate of AROBBTH; i want something fresh and new, but i want something fresh and new thats still sounds like COLDPLAY. X&Y wasnt a let down for me, but i wasnt nearly as impressed as i was with AROBTTH and parachutes. if im similarly not thrilled by this album in comparison to their first two, then ill get really really worried. ill be terrified that theyre losing their touch and will never put out something as wonderful as AROBTTH or parachutes again. and that scares the crap out of me. being a young person, i never understood how some people can only like certain eras of the beatles music, for example, rather than just everything (I love everything), and i REALLY dont want to become that kind of coldplay fan! my mom is a massvive music fan and says that anyone can put out a dud album, so if this next one isnt great, it doesnt mean theyre down the tubes forever. i think she's right, but as much as i do really love X&Y, im kind of counting that as their "dud" album because i dont think it lived up to their previous work. and if a band puts out two "dud" albums....i get a bit scared.
  14. itll TOTALLY be worth it :D. i was rubbing that thing like crazy while i was waiting to be called. oh, and i slept with my keys under my pillow the night before, and that was on it. just some tips !! good luck!
  15. i did a double-take at the mall today when i thought i saw will eating a sandwich in the food court. it obviously wasnt him, but besides the black hair, it could have been his TWIN. my coldplay keychain has proved lucky: i passed my drivers test with it!! i previously failed, and the only thing different this time was the keychain. i rest my case :smug: :laugh3:
  16. you can save them from the site, at least i have in the past. just click the "ENLARGE PHOTO" button and then right-click the photo when it comes up in its own window and choose "save image as..." like you normally would. it works for me, and i figure it can for other people. (of course, those instructions are for PC users...)
  17. i ordered a bunch of stuff from coldplay.com a few weeks ago and it came! a poster for my dorm room (but while im waiting i put it up in my home room for the next three months), X&Y keychain, patch, and an old AROBTTH tour program, which im so glad i got. its great. watched that zach braff movie "the ex" a few nights ago, and in the beginning he and his wife are trying to think of baby names, and he says something to the effect of "we dont need to pick a name out of a book, we can make up our own, like apple." i count that as half a coldplay reference. well, it made me laugh. i also found the MadTV parody of the SOS video on youtube. while its COMPLETELY unfair to chris and not true, i found it hilarious. i felt as though i shouldnt be laughing, but i thought it was great.
  18. i cant wait until theyre back on TV and in magazines etc. again. i love "running into them" all ove the place when theyre in the public eye. but ohhh i cant wait to hear this album. i dare to say theres hardly anything else i want more.
  19. im loading the page now.... if this is a joke.....someone loses an eye. just kidding. sorta. EDIT ah, i thought there was a single release timeframe in there, which was why i jumped out of my skin. nice update, but nothing concrete. still, though, it sounds as though they're almost near being done, if they arent already, which is very nice. but right now almost the only thing i want to know are DATES for release of the single and then the album.
  20. i walked into stop and shop yesterday and they were BLASTING "fix you" over the sound system. of course it kept being interrupted by PA announcements, but it was nice that it was playing quite loud, where in most other stores and places they play their music rather quietly.
  21. i want to hear the tea-drinking story!!!! the pics are WONDERFUL!!
  22. im the same way, waiting for the new album, and then after that, the touring. i go to college in january, not far from philly PA, so once they start touring again i plan to train in for all their philly concerts i can get tickets to, and then go home to attend hopefully all their NYC concerts if theyre on a weekend. im working now too, so hopefully i can fund these excursions! i really want to splurge on one ticket, too, get the best seat i can just once. it would TOTALLY be worth it. see how much im anticipating this? ive even begun to plan out how im going to make it to their hypothetical concerts!!
  23. ^ahhh. well, that's not the right mr. martin for what songs they were! im now approaching the potential new song titles with a bit more of an open mind. i mean, "yellow" sounds like kind of a lame song title, and so do songs like "in my place" and "sleeping sun" and those are three of my favorite songs ever. im just going to have to wait and see.
  24. theyve started to replay that oldish fruit of the loom commerical where they immitate the music videos for "the scientist" and "in my place" while the fruits play a song called "blue" which is "yellow"-esque. i LOVE that commercial!! and ive only just noticed that on the album of AROBTTH instrumentals i donwloaded from the multimedia section here several months ago, the composer of the songs are listed as "guy berryman/jonny buckland/will champion/MAX martin." who the hell is MAX MARTIN???
  25. HAPPY BIRTHDAY JONNY!!!! (sorry im a day late!)
