  1. yes, i do, and i downloaded it from this forum yesterday, so here's the link: http://rapidshare.de/files/19777053/Coldplay_-_100___on_Fuse__2005_.wmv.html i this is one of the rare ones i actually saw on TV!
  2. ode to deodorant sleep
  3. +love the end bit "would i ever let you down, no way", and a pretty decent first song -ummm...deodorant? i think they could have done a better job with the lyrics (i hate how my minuses are always lyrics. i think theyre some of the most brilliant lyricists ever! i guess its just the songs...) careful where you stand

ode to deodorant careful where you stand or help is round the corner?
  5. dont panic, because todays been a bad day. though i am on a big warning sign kick recently. then again, i always am.
  6. ^very good guess about the studio! youre probably right. i still wish it was one of their flats, though.
  7. ^that would be cool but rubber soul and revolver, while they have their differences, are very similar to each other. george harrison called them "volume I" and "volume II" of the same album. personally, i think id prefer if they didnt do something like this because X&Y was not my favorite album of theirs and id like something really different. however, ill be grateful for ANY new material!
  8. +really funky and strange and original - i dont really know what the hell hes talking about. and the lyrics arent brilliant crests of waves
  9. for you, yellow...theres probably a few more. goddamn
  10. i dont think i can breathe properly. :dead: :stunned: :shocked2: :o  i dont care if its been said before: HOLY SHIT THIS MAN IS HOT. nice t-shirt, too, BTW. where do people find all these pics?
  11. oh, god, preppy...hmm, how can i explain. i got to private school, which is like, preppy heaven. its like, all the kids that go to college-preperatory schools that you see in movies or whatever that have the blazers and chinos and ties and pleated skirts and knee socks? yeah, thats back when most schools had uniforms. now most private schools have ditched uniforms and have strict dress codes. and because a large percentage of the kids that go to private schools are wealthy, they wear polo shirts that cost a fortune because theyre by lacoste or ralph lauren and the girls carry designer bags. and the big preppy thing thats in now is turning the collar up on polo shirts, or wearing two different colored polo shirts at one time on top of each other, popping the collar so you can see the color of both. basically, youd be beat up in a tough neighborhood. preppy stores and labels (though im not sure they have them in the UK): abercrombie and fitch, j. crew, ralph lauren, lacoste, hollister...theres a bunch more. in short, preppy is someone who wears very expensive clothes and knows theyre rich and generally goes to a private school. and wearing white sneakers with black pants just...usually isnt done. its not completely wrong or anything, but its generally thought of as geeky, like a real nerd would to it because they dont know any better to match their shoes with their clothes because they dont care about things like how they look. ive done it before, lots of people do, but its not considered in good taste. sorry for the novel...
  12. another, from the 100% coldplay interview on fuse: Chris: "'fix you' is the first time we've all sang together" ... Will: "when we first started...it sounded like chickens being strangled..." [will continues, but guy is pissing himself laughing next to him] [chris looks at guy and cracks up too, and then jonny] Guy: [laughing] chickens being...strangled! Chris: [immitates chicken being strangled] what makes this even funnier to me is that that line is one of about three guy spoke in the whole interview. the other two were "orange is opposite blue" and "paul mccartney of wings" this one kills me.
  13. sorry for the double post, but if youre going to england and get a chance to go up to liverpool, i highly recommend the beatles story museum on albert dock. its amazing! i credit it as the final thing that got me beatle-obsessed. i went three years ago when i was 13, and i think it changed my life :bucktooth:. i never got a chace to go to abbey road or other beatle-related places in london, though. :embarassed:
  14. muffins, you're right! i was trying to figure out what that was like CRAZY, but just couldnt do it, and thats definitely it. good eye to you too! thanks for figuring that one out. however, now i have my doubts about that being one of their apartments. i mean, it still could be, but something tells me its the home of someone actually connected to the beatles. perhaps george martin? we all know he's worked with coldplay, namely in the nappies video! while its still an awesome picture, it kinda disappoints me because i was hoping it was a photo of one of their early apartments. im weird like that. (then again, it could be). i love that photo of paul and john like no other. while their relationship certainly wasnt on the open, physical level that jonny and chris's is, i do think there was a strong sense of brotherhood and comradeship there, however much they hated to admit it. i think the strong relationship between jonny and chris is one of the things that first attracted me to coldplay as people: because they reminded me so much of my other favorite musicians in that sense. this has become my new favorite thread :D
  15. spies La... (well, thats stupid but oh well)
  16. from live 2003: roadie guy: "its cold out there, theyve got the heaters on." guy: "ive got a t-shirt on, this, this, and this." roadie guy: "oh, and that makes you a big man, does it?" this always cracks me up for some reason.
  17. ^yeah, that would be funny! but a lot of coldplay fans that arent completetly obsessed with them like us but genuinely like them are really preppy college-age kids that wouldnt be caught dead doing something like that, at least from my experience at their american concerts. i think it would be awesome if somehow everyone would do that! i have seen lots of people with the MTF equals sign on their hands, though, especially at my first coldplay concert, which is a more subtle tribute to them. i chickened out on doing it for my second concert, though, because the friend i was with thought i was crazy anyway for dressing like them. besides, i saw very few equals signs the second time, though that wouldnt have stopped me from doing it. anyway, back on topic...what about them shoes...lol :laugh3:
  18. oh my god, do you know what i just noticed about that photo i posted earlier? the photo on the wall next to the beatles poster is also a beatles picture!!! i mean, you cant really tell, but being the beatlefreak i am, i recognized it. its a really really early beatles photo of george harrison and his first car, a ford angalia (sp?). holy muffins, ive never noticed it before and ive seen that pic a thousand times! now im thinking its maybe not their apartment...who knows though?
  19. it seems like at everyones schools, theyre the only coldplay fan! to me this is tragic and i dont understand why. while im the biggest coldplay fanatic i know (personally, that is, not counting all you wonderful people here!), two of my best friends really really like them, and the rest of everyone else likes at least one or two songs and respects them. a really big group of us went to see them last spring (really big meaning like 6 people!). i mean, i go to a really really small school and we're not exactly...diverse and when someone really likes something it spreads to everyone else really quickly, but it seems strange to me that most people say theyre the only coldplay fan they know personally. i see people in coldplay shirts all the time etc. sorry, i know that was really random, but this is the place for it, isnt it?
  20. yeah, they play "tomorrow never knows" over ther PA right before they go onstage at concerts, and "goodnight" at the end. they talk about the beatles a lot, so they seem to be pretty big fans. and in this photo, which i believe to be one of their early apartments, they have a beatles poster on the wall (which i also have on my wall! its one of the most beautiful shots ive ever seen) i love how my favorite band loves my other favorite band
  21. yeah, i think IMP is about that too, and trouble. there are a million rumors about green eyes, but i choose to believe the one about jonny  eek, nelly furtado doesnt seem his type. i wasnt really into them when the rumors were going round, but i dont think i would have believed them. then again, i dont think i would have believed the gwyneth rumors, either...and those turned out to be true... what is it about chris not playing songs about exes? jesus, its a song, usually a very good one (read: WARNING SIGN!!). i think gwyn is mature enough to deal with it, and i dunno, i just think hes kinda stupid for using that as his reason not to play them.
  22. i can see them doing a concept album rock opera type deal way down the road, like in 3 or 4 albums time (i pray they get there!). IMO a 4th album is just to early to spring something like that, when some fans (not US, of course :wink2:) might get turned off by something like that etc. i think once they have 3 or 4 brilliant, innovative, and critically acclaimed albums, then theyd try it, knowing them. chris may be thinking about it now, but knowing him, he wont even try to release something like that for years. i dont even think theyll end up releasing some huge electronic thing next as chris says. i think it may be different, but just not that far out. just my thoughts on it...
  23. no more keeping my feet on the ground only superstition crests of waves i ran away one i love things i dont understand the world turned upside down murder sleeping sun see you soon gravity proof
