  1. um...i sorta think its embarrassing...:embarassed: i think the parts with them performing are great, but the dance-team thing makes me cringe. i think the fact that theyre hardly wearing any clothes makes me the most embarrassed. perhaps if it was a different act....or something. theres quirky, which is perfectly fine, but then theres flat-out insane. IMO, anyway. i still maintain that i could have made a better video.

see you soon all the way!!!!! crests of waves or i ran away
  3. the fact that hes sensitive "he begs, he pleads, he crumbles, he crawls, he's lost, he's scared, he's sorry and he misses you" makes me love him even more. i have a thing for sensitive guys. if they were more macho, i dont think their music would be as good and the lyrics would be worse and i dont think id love them as much as i do as a result. rock on, ifeellowohno
  4. i never understood this line, from chris himself or anyone else. im pretty picky about lyrics, but coldplay has some of the best ive ever heard. i just connect with some of their lines. of course, it is everyones own interpretation, but i dont understand why so many people think that coldplay could improve on their lyrics. i find them wonderful.
  5. pour me fun for me
  6. -have 2 copies of AROBTTH -1 X&Y -a burned copy of Parachutes from my friend (my last coldplay album) with "careful where you stand" and "help is round the corner" on it -Live 2003 DVD + CD -Fix You single w/ video on it thats all i have hardcopy. everything else i have i either downloaded fromm itunes, coldplay official site, or here, and i would say i have a very large percentage of everything theyve ever recorded (excluding remixes) 142 songs and videos under coldplay in my itunes.
  7. yeah, while it would toootally rock and be perfect, i dont think it would happen because they havent had a "real" song in any of the movies yet, and i think it would be a bit too odd if they did. some of the guys are HP fans????? ooh, if they are that just makes me fall in love with them more (if thats possible)...thats sooo cute and geeky for world-famous rockers to be holed up on their tour bus reading HP like madmen so they can finish before they have to put the book down at the next stop...and imagine them trying to have a concert right after finishing the 6th book...i couldnt concentrate on ANYTHING for a week after i read that book.i just imagine the guys playing and then thinking "OMG, _____ is dead!!!!! what are we going to do?!" sorry, got a bit carried away there, but loooooove HP.
  8. my big 3 are the beatles, coldplay, and U2. other than those 3 bands, i mostly like songs and rarely listen to a whole album of any other band. however, i like a buttload of songs!!!! heres a list of artists i have in itunes (not all of them! that would take forever!): AAR, beach boys, bob dylan, cream, dave matthews band, death cab for cutie, eric clapton, the fray, george harrison, green day, incubus, jefferson airplane, JET, jimi hendrix, jimmy eat world, john lennon, keane, the killers, the kinks, kings of leon, oasis, paul mccartney, pearl jam, radiohead, red hot chili peppers, rolling stones (!!!), snow patrol, the strokes, tom petty, the verve, and the who (all besides everything the beatles, coldplay, and U2 ever did)
  9. while i dont really have a story like that to tell, and i know its not my thread, id just like to say how wonderful people are on coldplaying.com. its so great to know there are such lovely people all over the world, especially in these times, and how all of these people share one great thing in common: we all LOOOOVE coldplay!
  10. i have two very different dreams. one is to become a senator for CT (my state) and the other is to become a big famous hollywood director, like speilberg or ron howard. of course, i know the second (and the first, for that matter) is extremely unlikely, but hey, im 16. im going to college soon, though, and hoping to take classes in both political science and flim. if neither of those work out, though, id really love to be a test-reader of novels for a big publishing company. it cant pay much, but id love it.
  11. oh please. i really hope he was either kidding or writing it as a joke. thats pathetic for anyone to do with any song ever, unless theyre talking about what it means to THEM. i love the lyrics of yellow, its my fave song.
  12. the world turned upside down shattered
  13. i never ever skip anything!! im just like that, there are only two songs on my ipod that i skip: "revolution 9" (beatles) and "fitter happier" (radiohead). i cant skip songs, i feel bad. im pathetic, but its true.
  14. and when the fix you vid first came out, i was excited and mad at the same time because id written a video for the song that was almost EXACTLY the same!! (yes, i write videos to songs in my spare time. im hoping to major in film). i was glad it was such a good video, but it was kinda scary that it was so exact. i thought someone had read my mind (or worse- my journal!)
  15. its close, but id have to say SoS. its the video/thing that made me fall in love with them, and i love love love the whole thing. i usually find performance vids a bit boring and uncreative, but that was amazing with all the strange angles and zooms. and the LED light wall was sooooo cool, i love how it starts off dark and then explodes in light at the end. and chris moves soooo well in that vid, i love his crazy dancing.
  16. gravity stuck in
  17. ive been a die hard since may 2005, when i saw the SoS video and feel in love with the song, the video, them, and chris's hottt moves. ive liked them since AROBTTH, though didnt know much about them or too much of their music besides clocks and the scientist. my mom had the CD and listened to it in the car. i once traced my whole coldplay fanaticism in 10 pgs of my journal!
  18. yes, i totally agree. and its not like i hate chris now or anything, NEVER!! but i just figured that, i dunno, since he's so environmentally conscious that they'd get a new hybrid one (its not like they cant afford it) or something. and i did figure it was for the kiddies, but what bothers me is that something like 85% of SUV drivers are moms that dont want to own minivans and be the "soccer mom" type. my question is why do you need such a big car for a family of four? its not like theres extra seatingin the BMW X5, and the toyota prius has a huge trunk. im not saying chris is a bad person or shouldnt have it or that i think differently of him, im just surprised by it. he may have a very good reason for having a car like that. and i wish that more families, especially in the US, would weigh the options before buying an SUV and ask themselves what the advantages are over a smaller car. especially with the insane gas prices. im such a little hippie :hippy: :daisy:
  19. thats SO cool!!! i want to go in there just to hear it now (good thing gap is my life [for clothes]). ive heard SoS all over the place, and other A-sides, but thats SO cool. i think gap does that a lot, because i hear snow patrol and killers b-sides in there a lot
  20. i like parachutes much better than X&Y, and its just so perfect, i think. its all so nice and quiet and pleasant, it makes me think of coffeeshops or something. i absolutely love it, but i also love how every album of theirs has a different feel.
  21. exactly. i think owen wilson may really like coldplay, because "sparks" was in his last big movie, wedding crashers. then again, he may not have any influence on things like that and maybe its a similar director or producer or something that likes them. or coincidence...
  22. what the hell, thats not splitting! its just talking about the next album, and its also chris being chris. see my comment on the last thread that this article appeared in :D
