my god. it surprises the hell out of me that chris would come within 10 feet of an SUV. are we sure this is true? maybe it was a smaller BMW? god i hope so, because that would make me very disappointed.

while it does scare me a bit, i dont really believe it. theyve set lots of different time frames, and only one can be right, so who knows if itll be this one. besides, they cant live without the music, either, so i seriously doubt theyd wait anywhere near 20 years to get an album out. they say they itch for the studio after a tour. i think its just chris being chris, and also saying what he'd like to happen in his perfect world. he'd like to wait that long to be sure the music's perfect, but he knows he cant wait that long, or jonny or guy or will, or us!

ummm, i dunno. i think it would be great for him to do and all, but i think he should definitely check with the band first. if i were jonny or guy or will and chris just did it, i think id get really really mad. and id totally totally buy it and probably really like it, but theres no way it would ever be as good without the whole band's input. i think he might do it, but i dont really think its enevitable. and personally, i think that putting out a solo album makes that soloist sound more important than the rest of the band to lots of people, especially reporters and crtitics, kind of an "oh look at me do it all by myself" sort of thing (not that they mean to or want to or anything, thats just an impression that some people get), and i think that chris is so concerned about the other members of the band getting as much credit as he does that he wouldnt put out a solo record for several more years now, if they continue on this same path without their popularity waning. then he'd do it i think, or be more likely to. so i dunno if he should or not, all i know is that id buy it either way.

warning sign is in my top 3 coldplay songs, and it never seems to get enough attention IMO. and chris says he hates the song with a passion, mostly for lyrical reasons. i wish he didnt though. i think its one of their best! i wish theyd play it live sooo much (and that i was either there or could get a bootleg, but preferably be there!)

recently saw a similar jacket in H+M. i know H+Ms are here and in britain, so thats a plus. i didnt try it on or anything, but its cargo-like, black, and has the same collar as chris's. it looks very similar on the hanger. ill have to go back and check

my fave on the album is speed of sound, hands down. its the song that made me re-discover coldplay and made me fall absolutely in love with them. itll always be one of my favorites. my second fave is swallowed in the sea and my third fave is fix you.
