So punching each one of them in the face is a way to make them fix things faster? To each their own, I suppose. I just find it interesting that you say my list "sucks" because you think I want to punch the two politicians on the list for simply disagreeing with their views, yet you think punching a list of 100 people, some of which I would venture to say actually have good intentions and good ideas, will make them work faster and come to a solution that pleases you sooner. So are you still going to want to punch them when something reasonanble gets passed, but doesn't fix the economy with the snap of the fingers? Because I highly doubt anything will noticibly change things for the better before a year or so has passed.

I'd rather have a short list of people I have specific beefs with (which I haven't elaborated on, so thanks for automatically assuming I only dislike them because they're Republican Conservatives; note I didn't put all Republican Conservatives on my list) than a list of all the US senators who have a wide-ranging spectrum of views and actions, and ones I doubt have done anything to hurt you specifically.

well, i exaggerate: it's not an authentic 'fro, since my hair isn't the same quality. it's more like a huge, poofy bush, especially in summer :P

you would say differently if you saw a before and after picture of my hair :P. honestly, one day at college i overslept and couldn't straighten it before class, and people were actually giving me the ":freak:" face. i'm actually hard to see around when the 'fro is in full bloom, and when i had really long hair in high school, it had the habit of attacking those sitting to my right and left at movies or in class. when my braid got caught in a taxi door one day, i said "chop it off." :lol:

i'm rereading harry potter and the half blood prince for the movie, but i have a mountain of summer reading to do as well, mostly involving british history, and ms. dalloway and brick lane by monica ali.

Now that I see I might be outdone in length, I might have a go :P

yeah, well they'll finish the season whether it's on TV or online, but i'm pretty sure they're not going to do another season, and seasons always end with some huge cliffhanger...i hate when they never get solved due to discontinuation.

thanks, makayla :D. i've actually used that stuff before years ago, but i should give it another go...i still use the frizz ease hair serum once in a while too. however, i'm moving to the UK in a few weeks, and i don't know if it's available there, so perhaps i should wait to start a new hair regimen, since i'm pretty sure my old standby, pantene, is availale there :P

ahhh, makayla, your hair looks SO nice there! :nice: i actually have a similar hair type, but more frizzy, and the curls are less defined and tend to wing out in weird directions, which can create an afro-like effect on really bad days. and each curl seems to have a different amount of curl in it: some strands are almost straight, others look like yours in the picture, and some are so curly it's almost kinky. i just straighten it on a daily basis so it's presentable and uniform. i'm looking for good products that can make my hair look like yours in that picture without much effort, but frankly i'm not optimistic :P

Ooh, I'll get the missing episodes on Hulu. I hate how they always cancel the good shows.

I keep reading the title of this thread as "Absolute Radio LOVE Stories" :lol: I'm still undecided as to whether or not I'm going to write something...I can't make it to most of the concerts anyway even if I did win, despite actually being in the right country at the time (shocker there), and I almost feel as though there aren't enough guidelines for me to write something worthwhile. Knowing the way I write, whatever I come up with would be A) too long, B) unoriginal if I were to take the "gig review" road, or C) too personal and fangirly if I were to take the "personal experience" road. Anyway, sorry for blabbing, I'm just trying to work out whether or not I should have a go :P

I would gladly take an entry-level job with the Coldplay camp as puppet-ass-cleaner :wideeyed:. Perhaps then I could work the corporate ladder and get to where I want to be after a few years :P.

i bet their butts are filthy :lol: and they've definitely gotten dinged up in all their travels...someday one of them is going to fall in some river when they prop them up on a bridge or something :uhoh:

Oh man, I can write fairly well, but not when it's under pressure...I always try too hard :uhoh:. Are they looking for things geared towards the sorts of generic live reviews you would find published in newspapers, or more individual fan experiences? I guess I'm wondering what perspective they want it in: first-person active-voice personal account, or passive-voice, critical review. I think I'd write about the Today Show just because that was more of a unique concert experience that hasn't been as beaten to death by other fan & professional reviews, but I'll think about it :P

glad to see i'm not the only one balking at ANOTHER detox/diet GOOP. the woman needs to stick to what she knows: clothes and recipies. i guess she knows hotels and restaurants too, but most of us can't afford 90% of the places she recommends. i'd really love it if she just stuck to clothes and food, and budget outings that the middle class can afford.

my mom says i'm only allowed to have one haircut this summer because it's expensive, but i REALLY want one and i have to wait til the middle of august so it lasts :P. does anyone know of any really good curl cream or something like that would control ridiculous amounts flyaways? something available in america/UK and that doesn't cost a million dollars is preferable :P
