Saw U2 3D a second time this past weekend.. OMG... I just can't get enough.. Plan on seeing it at least 2 more times with friends... <<< i am truly a fanatic and have been for the last 20+ years.. :D

actually there is a electric guitar in the song: "Is it any wonder" off the latest album. More of a guitar track. they do use accoustic guitars when they play live.. Did it with a song called The Frog Prince..

yep.. a great keane song... :D another great live band that I have seen up close and in a small venue.. so so amazing..:pleased: They just came with a dvd called Keane Live. I highly recommend it. :)

Yeah, they are from LA. I hadn't heard of them until I saw them open up for Snow Patrol with OK GO last March. All I can say is WOW... They are a great live band.. Blew my socks off.. if in regular theaters you mean the Digital 3D ones that would be yes. It has to be digital 3D capable since it was shot with 3D film cameras.

:( wow.. that sucks.. maybe it's an issue with the equipment at the theater there or a contractual issue. I am sorry to hear that! You know why don't you call that theater and talk with a manager there to be sure. you know what is real sad... There is not any IMAX theaters in ireland (their homeland) that it is premiering in.. Someone from there posted on another site that they had one but it closed down not too long ago.. Guess they are gonna have to wait until feb. when it goes into wider release..

I hear ya but if someone started a thread everytime something came up regarding U2 it would be mighty crowded in here.. I think the mods here are trying to keep it simple and uncluttered. Being that this is a general music forum within a coldplay site there isn't another forum to go to that is more specific. I don't see another thread being started as a good idea. I think anyone new to this forum will be able to figure it out just fine..

U2 3D.... I am so damn excited about this movie.... I just got tix for the showing at the IMAX in DC on 1/23. Anyone who can must go see this.. it's gonna be mind blowing for sure.. Go to www.u23dmovie.com and search theaters in your area.. What they are doing is a limited release in IMAX theaters only this month and then a wider release in digital 3D theaters in February... :D

as mentioned that song is called Starlight and it's off their latest album: Black Holes and Revelations. I would say start with that album since you have heard that song.. After that go with Absolution, their 3rd Album. A lot of great songs on there. Then I would recommend Origin of Symmetry (their 2nd album). So basically I am telling you to go in reverse because I think that is the best way to go since you heard that song.. Their first album, Showbiz is great too but get used to these before you go there. Then there is a off album called Hullabaloo that is really cool. Hope that helps.. :D and then you HAVE TO GO SEE THEM LIVE!!! they are a LIVE band and their shows will blow your mind. Go to youtube and check out some of there live performances.. You will be hooked for sure!

I am all for giving them a break this year... I mean sheesh they have been touring non stop since 2006. I hear they may do a couple of festivals this year but that is about it.. then maybe a new album..

yeah me too.. the man 'is compassion' all rolled up inside that lil 5ft 6in body... :D has a heart of gold I tell ya...;)
