:dozey: remember bonnaroo??? they played a 2.5 hour set.. I am sure that they will be doing at least a full set list both nites.. The headlining bands get the biggest time frame being that they are the last band of the nite. Also, remember this festival a lot smaller than Coachella or Bonnaroo. Only about 40,000 people per nite..

Austin City Limits 2008
When are they going to announce the line up for 2008? I don't see it on the ACL website..

well, that depends on how you are travelling to Boston. Meaning what mode of transport...

I think the reasoning behind all this/the way they are doing this tour (number of cities, venues, logistics) is due to their stance regarding not leaving a major carbon footprint.. I mean doing all those cities like muse and other bands leaves a huge carbon footprint with all that travelling.. they are not playing Glastonbury this year because of this.. atease article: Glastonbury infrastructure ruled out Radiohead gig Posted on February 28th, 2008. As reported earlier, Radiohead are not playing Glastonbury this year. The festival organisers stated that Radiohead had other plans around that time, but Thom Yorke told the Sun it was due to the lack of public transport to the festival site. When it comes to Radiohead shows, Thom said: “What we’re trying to do now is only play in areas that have a public transport infrastructure in place. So that rules out Glastonbury for this year. Maybe we can work out a plan for the future. They’re probably sick of the sight of us anyway.” Thom was in Brussels yesterday to campaign for The Big Ask. “I was exhausted in Brussels yesterday morning. I was really nervous and hardly slept last night. It’s not like playing a gig — that’s just normal. This is a really big deal.” Thom Yorke: “As for Radiohead, I am trying to build a system under my house that heats it naturally from the ground. One of the conditions of the band carrying on touring is that we do everything we can to minimise our impact on the environment. That has included buying two lots of equipment and keeping one in Europe and one in America so we never have to fly our kit around the world again. Another big one is shipping stuff rather than flying it. We also use new technology for our lighting rig. One of the interesting things we discovered is how people get to our big shows. A lot of the time people are driving with one or two people in a car and that’s an ecological disaster.”

yeah it's confirmed RH (headlining both nites) are only doing the APW festival (NJ) in August for 2 nites: 8/8 and 8/9. here's a blurb from atease: All Points West: Radiohead’s Only NYC Appearance Posted on February 24th, 2008. The recently revealed double headline bill of Radiohead at All Points West (August 8 & 9), turns out to be Radiohead’s only appearance in the New York City area, Pitchfork reports. All Points West, the East Coast version of Coachella, will have Radiohead headlining the first two nights: August 8 and August 9. Jack Johnson will headline the third night (August 10). Other acts slated to perform at Liberty State Park include Animal Collective, Cat Power, the New Pornographers, Girl Talk, the Roots, Underworld, the Go! Team, Metric, CSS, Andrew Bird, Black Kids, Chromeo, Amadou & Mariam, Rogue Wave and Mates of State Pitchfork spoke to festival organizer Paul Tollett of Goldenvoice, who said All Points West is not Coachella East: “It’s a lot smaller.” Tollett estimates that the festival’s capacity will be “about half” of that of American behemoths like Coachella, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza, meaning that they will cap attendance at around 30 or 40 thousand people. There will only be three stages and about 40 bands, as opposed to the 100+ that swarm Coachella. This will allow bands to play longer sets than usual.

well the only tix left are lawn seats way in the back that is why there are some left.. Most of the venues are larger than 15,000 in europe tho minus the one u mentioned.. I assumed there are few that are like the one u mentioned but the majority aren't.

I am so happy, excited and quite relieved at this news.. was seriously worrying about this...

the reason for the panic is because RH are playing amphitheaters that have a capacity of about 15,000 people whereas in Europe they are playing larger venues, festivals and castle fields that hold several times the capacity as the venues in the states.. That is why tix sold out here so fast... HUGE DIFFERANCE!

Keane, Coldplay I can kinda see a slightly similar sound but not Radiohead there is absolutely nothing remotely similiar to other two.. Radiohead is unique in their sound all together...

I totally understand your pain.. what a long and stressful.. did I mention how friggin stressful... STRESSFULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH.... My story>>> got up at 4:50am ran downstairs to the puter and hit refresh on waste from then till I left for work this morning.. Nothing up yet then.. Got to work at 8am and was a tad preoccupied with this presale.. and had the site up at work, luckily my boss was busy and didn't come into my office during this time. Hit refresh for the next 51 minutes until BAM.. the tickets pop up on waste.. I was so excited that they came up so I selected what I thought was it for Bristow, Va.. the reserved seats option (and in my head I am thinking where are the GA Pit tix??? wtf, but didn't want to lose my chance) so i bought 3 tix.. Got to the payment page and entered my visa card number not once but at least 3 times before the site would accept it.. (kept saying my cc info was invalid wtf again), was already stressing out and then almost went into panic mode or rather a panic attack when this happened.. Ok, so I bought the tickets.. So I go back to look at the page ... and what do I see GA standing tix for the show I just bought tix for.. wtf where were those when I first got in??? So, without hesitating went in and bought 3 GA Pit tix... got thru the transaction easily this time.. Then I am shitting my pants cuz now I have 6 tix to the same show when the max is 4 tix? Shit are they going to cancel my orders? So I find the email address to waste and plead my case in the email stating I incorrectly purchased the wrong tix and would they cancel my first order and keep the later one.. Well, 2 hours or so of biting my nails and continuing to stress the fuck out. I finally, amazingly get a email from waste saying that they cancelled my first order and refunded me in full.. HOW COOL IS THAT.. ! With all this chaos today they managed to respond within a couple of hours... Now that is customer service...:thumbsup:

ok.. i am excited about the release of HAARP but FRUSTRATED AS HELL about that it's only a import for us folks here in the US. All listings are PAL/Region 0 only meaning it's in PAL... My dvd player won't play this or is not a hackable one that I can change the region on. This means I have to go buy a region free dvd player to watch this on my tv..:( I have a friend who works for Universal and is involved in distribution and she had her supplier check the database and it's only available as a import. Why isn't this being made available in ntsc/region 1 format for all us North American folks? WHY? They are quite big here in the US now so why not?? I just don't get it.. /end rant.

High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program. See this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_Frequency_Active_Auroral_Research_Program Some of the things on the stage at Wembley looked like the antennae at the Haarp site in Alaska... apparently Matt's interested in it...

i can kinda relate.. I lived in hawaii from 1998 to 2002 and not a single great or even good band showed up.. it killed me.. Of course, if I were there still in 2006 I would of been there for U2.. :smug:

U2
well.. that I would have to give some thought.. Seen them every tour since Joshua Tree.. Last tour, I went to 10 shows. The tour before that, 4 shows. Only saw them once during the pop mart tour (was pregnant with my son) and saw that show 3 months pregnant.. Plus the zootv tour and JT.. So, that totals 17 shows not that much considering being a fan since 1987. ;)
