  1. What is there to disagree with? The melodies are identical. That's a fact. You'd have to be deaf not to hear it. As I already said, the only difference is in Snoop's song it was sang, and in Major Minus, it's played on guitar. As well as the fact that it's played much slower in Major Minus, with a couple added notes in between the main melody.
  2. The only part identical or nearly identical is the "oooooooooooo" part of the song. The songs are not identical. I hope that's what you actually meant.
  3. ^ Help me to better understand your reaction. :)
  4. Princess of China includes notes not found in the Nelly song, meanwhile, it more closely resembles the notes found in the Vietnamese song. However, the guitar riff from Major Minus is a lot more blatant. The only difference is that it's played slower on the guitar, but the melody remains the same despite some added notes in between the main notes.
  5. Well at the end of that song, "Oh I, Oh I, Oh I, Oh" I is actually repeated several times. I just suggested to forward to the part where the music stopped, so that there was only voices to hear the notes they were singing better. That song was also one of the most popular songs released at that particular time. The first time I heard Major Minus, Immediately thought of the song in the video.
  6. Lol. Major Minus is indeed great, but whether not the song is ugly was not the point. That guitar riff sounds exactly like the melody sang in the said song, except it being played on guitar in major minus, and played slower.
  7. You decide for yourself, but I'm pretty convinced that the little guitar riff Johnny plays between verses (live version) after things get quiet, was taken from the song Beautiful by Snoop Dogg ft. Pharrel. Listen to the following, and forward it to 3:53, and you be the judge. Notice the melody in question, "Oh I, oh I, oh I, oh I" is sang 4 times in Snoop's song, and in Major Minus it is played 4 times on Johnny's guitar, and then played another 4 times right before Johnny's big, awesome solo. 8. It's definitely possible, and I wouldn't rule it out, although I don't think it's that big a deal. Only one part sounds the same.... I will however point out that the guitar riff Johnny plays in between verses (live version) in Major Minus seems to be taken from the song "Beautiful" by Snoop Dogg Ft. Pharrel, although in the said song, the melody is sang and not played by an instrument. Even then it sounds pretty much identical. For proof, listen to the following, and forward it to 3:53 to hear it. Notice the melody in question, "Oh I, oh I, oh I, oh I" is sang 4 times in Snoop's song, and in Major Minus it is played 4 times on Johnny's guitar, and then played another 4 times right before Johnny's big, awesome solo. 9. U.F.O. only because it's the shortest song. I don't really hate the song or anything. I enjoy all the songs including POC and Paradise which are among my favorites on the album among many other amazing tracks like Charlie Brown, Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Up With The Birds, and Hurts Like Heaven.
  10. All those songs are great IMO, and I really love them all. It was quite hard choosing between the best two from the list IMO, which were POC and CB, but I'm going with POC. I just really love the sound of POC, and the riffs, and Chris's and Rihanna's voices in harmony. I guess people who aren't much fans of the popish/r&b type music genres wont be able to appreciate this song. One thing is for sure, it will definitely appeal to wider audiences.
  11. The first time I heard the song I liked it, and as I kept listening to it started to love it all the more. In regards to the entire album, it's one of my favorites among many great songs, possibly because I know all the lyrics, and can sing along from beginning to end. However, there isn't a song on the album that I don't enjoy, or can't appreciate. I put ETIAW, and Paradise in the same category. Others like Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, Up With The Birds, Don't Let It Break Your Heart, Princess of China, and Major Minus are all on a higher level for me.
  12. Charlie Brown is definitely one of their best songs, as is Don't Let It Break Your Heart IMO.
  13. It's not that big of a deal, but when I first heard the live version of this song (played at Rock am Ring Fest), I absolutely loved the part where I think this song really lifted off."And if we could floooooat away". Problem is in the album version, not only does Will not harmonize during the "float" like in the live version, but Chris's singing of the "float" part also sounds a bit different, in which the live singing of this specific part sounds better. I still love this version as a whole, but that's just a slight annoyance. Anyone else notice this?
  14. Thanx:). I'm not really familiar with Elbow though. Remember, I'm a bloody American:smug:. I am however a really big fan of Keane.
  15. Nice cover:). I really wasn't sure what a Scottish person even sounded like, I was under the impression they had that english accent, which you don't seem to have. If I do indeed sound Scottish, I guess I'll just have to take that as a compliment.;) I mean who the hell wants to sound like a bloody American anyways????:P
  16. Hehehe:D. Unless I bumped my head really hard, last time I checked I was born in Houston,Texas, which if I'm not mistaken is in the U.S. :P Are you talking about the part where im singing or talking? It could be me just singing the way I hear things. I've done that ever since I attempted to sing. Maybe thats the accent your hearing??
  17. Nope. I am American. Why do you ask?
  18. I'm still in love with this song, even after hearing all the others on the album. This is me just singing the song without any music, I added a few vocal twists to it as well. Hope you like... BTW, it was recorded with an MP3 player, so if the quality isn't up to your standards (decent), my apologies. If I screwed up any of the lyrics, I also apologize for that. If you enjoy it and want me to do sing any of the other songs off the new album let me know... Thanx all!:) Heres the link. http://media.putfile.com/Viva-la-Vida-Acappella

  20. WTF is wrong with people:stunned:. I love this freakin song. Viva la Vida is still probably my favorite song overall, but I really love "42". The transition is awesome in my opinion and gets me hyped like hell:D, im shakin my head and tappin my feet and stuff. And ohh, " You thought cha might be a ghooost, you thought cha might be a ghoooost, you didn't get to heaven but cha made it close, you didn't get to heaven but cha made it close." I absolutely love that part, and I'm always singin it, and the guitar solo rocks like hell as well. The song ends quite nice and peacefully. 10/10...:)
  21. Meh... From what I heard it sounds interesting, but I'm still in love with the acoustic version. Its not really what I expected after hearing the acoustic version. I too thought you'd be hearing the guitar drums ect. along with the great piano... I'm a tad disappointed as of now. I'll wait to hear the full song b4 I fully judge. I'm also lovin Viva la Vida big tyme.
