Endings of newly released songs
^Definitely, I mean the fact that they managed to pull off an instrumental so beautifully, the fact that the lyrics in Viva La Viva is arguably better than any heard on X&Y, and the grittiness of Violet Hill, is all proof that they are really growing musically RIGHT NOW. And they're finally picking up where they left off with AROBTTH, which I'm delighted with. I just hope the rest of the tracks (and especially 42) meet my high expectations. PS: LET IT LEAK! :P

Coldplay concert will be different...What i think
I actually have no idea what to expect... but I bet its going to be epic. I think there may be a lot more colour in their shows, in terms of lighting and what they put on the huge screens behind them. But really, who knows. I think its going to be really arty, either way.

Endings of newly released songs
Ah yes, definitely. I can't wait to hear what the album version sounds like. Either way, this album is shaping up to be a contender for my favourite Coldplay album (the current one being AROBTTH). All the songs I've heard so far are very promising in my opinion.

Endings of newly released songs
Viva La Vida builds to a satisfying ending I think. But I remember reading somewhere that the band would often be avoiding typical song structures (something about conventional song structures "breaking down"), which probably means their won't be many "typical" Coldplay songs on the album.

UK Coldplay Concert Venues Unveiled: 12-Date Tour At Christmas
^Ah, not sure you'll be able to do that, since the ticket you'll get will have your name printed on it (I think). Don't quote me on that though. I just hope I can see them this year, at least. I'm a bit gutted that its mostly US dates so far.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
I think it might officially be spelled the American way, since thats how it's spelled on the tracklisting on the timeline.

Random Coldplay thoughts...
That's exactly what I'm afraid of as well. Like you, I was lucky enough to hear 2/3 of their albums as a whole (and hearing a bad quality rip of a leaked version of X&Y, which doesn't really count for me) from start to finish without previously overplaying a specific number of songs from those two albums. And you know what? I just can't think of a better way of listening to an album. This is why I hope and pray that Coldplay don't go and release 42 on the 21st, because by that time i would have heard 4 songs songs of the album, plus the acoustic version of 'Lost'. Because unlike you, unfortunately don't have the will power to decide NOT to listen to a leaked song. I just hope they have the common sense NOT to do that, one because I'll listen to it one way or the other, and two because I find it very strange that a band would want to release 3 different singles before the release of the album. Now if the WHOLE album is leaked AT ONCE, then I don't really have a problem with that. Because then I'll be able to hear all of the songs in the context of the album, which is (in my opinion) what makes the songs that little bit more special. All I'm saying is that I'm not keen on the idea of releasing an album bit by bit, song by song... taking what Chris said in the NME interview into consideration (when he said the album plays out like a story, its supposed to be listened to from start to finish as a whole, etc), then that really is like releasing a novel by giving away its chapters randomly (and in a random order)... which makes no sense, right? Maybe the problem isn't all these song leaks, but be complete inability from restaining myself from listening to them. Argh. Rant over :P

The End
I really think this thread should be deleted. It has no purpose, and it seems like its being used solely as an arena to throw insults at each other. Honestly, what ever happened to the light-hearted and welcoming atmosphere that the forum is known for?

who heard 'lost?' ??
I don't know, but it will certainly have a denser feel to it on the album (they will use more instruments... maybe even guitar and drums, who knows ) Still though, we already have a thread for this song. didn't you see it?

who heard 'lost?' ??
Its the acoustic B-side. No need to start feeling sorry for yourself.

Life in Technicolor (No links)
Yes, I think you need to be 18 to enter. They ask you to provide identification at the concert even if you win the tickets.

Coldplay Section of Forum Petition
^haha! Yeah I'd say a new section is a good idea - we can keep song and band discussions in the Coldplay section, while keeping all the website related stuff in the new thread. Sounds good!
