  1. Not a bad song. Heard it a couple of times and liked it. You can certainly feel it comes from Chris.
  2. Sounds plausible! But take into account that according to Ryan Seacrest's notes of the album, Birds is not a ballad. Only Everglow.
  3. I want to hear if they thought that AHFOD is better/worse than AOAL!
  4. Thanks for reporting Dianne! Do you remember anything else? Did you like it more or less than AOAL?

This is one of Ryan Seacrest's favorite songs from the album with Hymn for the Weekend! I am really looking forward to hear the (apparently) only ballad in the album!
  6. Yep. A brief excerpt of President Obama singing Amazing Grace.
  7. No joke, the album features Barack Obama singing Amazing Grace.
  8. Well, at least we are getting another album this year!
  9. To me it's going to remain "to me she'd say". It is the only thing that makes sense and while singing it, you cannot tell the difference with "Umi"
  10. I want one with all four band members on it!
  11. So what did Chris's father really told him as a kid, because for GS it was "don't ever let go" and for this one is "don't ever give up"...
  12. Christa, is that the secret that you knew? That the poem was going to feature in the album? Thanks!
  13. The video looks awesome! And this confirms the video in India was for (presumably) Hymn for the Weekend.
  14. What's the song that almost made Ryan Seacrest cry?
  15. Yep. Who is she? I thought that Arlene Moon helped them when they were in LA or the US more generally.
  16. They used that recording for sure, hahaha.
  17. 2 of the 12 tracks are short. One features the poem The Guest House and also Barack Obama singing Amazing Grace.
  18. Obama singing Amazing Grace features in a track! Chris is going crazy!
  19. I read The Conference of Birds yesterday. It is presumably the book which inspired this song. In the poem, the birds of the world gather to decide who is to be their king, as they have none. The hoopoe, the wisest of them all, suggests that they should find the legendary Simorgh, a mythical Persian bird roughly equivalent to the western phoenix. The hoopoe leads the birds, each of whom represent a human fault which prevents man from attaining enlightenment. When the group of thirty birds finally reach the dwelling place of the Simorgh, all they find is a lake in which they see their own reflection. The birds must cross seven valleys in order to find the Simorgh: Yearning Love Knowledge of Spiritual Truth Detachment Unity of God Bewilderment Selflessness
  20. I really liked how the radio host always made the questions to Jonny and he especially sought Jonny's answers!
