  1. I'll sell you 3,000 posts for $100 in unmarked bills.:shifty:
  2. Noooo...:stunned: Quick, move to another time zone, so it's 8 PM!:escaping:
  3. Is having a lot of posts a good thing, a bad thing, or just a thing? :laugh3: Do we win a boobie prize when we reach 30,000??:P
  4. More good news Nick, eh? Time for election reform, to get the polit bureau money out of politiks. I just took a look back at where the election money has flowed from, and Citigroup fit in the top 20 of most of the campaigns I looked at.
  5.:laugh3: Only if you're using Parachutes!;) I was thinking how annoying small town gossip mills can be.. these people here need to get a life! (I don't even care to explain - the local bar flies just irritate worse than thorns.)
  6. Hello Princess Diana.:) Sneak on when you can, and enjoy the banter!;)
  7. Now that's impressive, Justin! ^^ Did he sing, help everyone compose songs, or talk about something else??
  8. Do we win a prize or something for the 3 millionth post??:laugh3:
  9. International waters are international waters. It's all our ocean - the Chinese, the Australians, the Americans, the Germans, the Zimbabweans.. But my comment on aggression goes for the US as well as the Chinese - neither aggression is good or warranted. But seriously - mooning a vessel - would anyone do anything but laugh at that??:laugh3: "naked aggression!":P

  11. Yes Emperor Cobalt! Soon, you too will be part of Ming's Dynasty!!:laugh3: Conquest is over-rated. I'd go for peaceful harmony, and the brotherhood & sisterhood of all mankind. What one gains through aggression, one looses through good will.
  12. Well, it all depends on whether or not your band is cold-rolled or not. It's important to aneal the band after each bending or forming operation, as often a band can become work-hardened. Therefore, an annealing oven is recommended. Annealing temperatures can vary, depending on the metal. Heavy metals are best annealed between 1300 and 2300 degrees, depending on the severity of work-hardening. If the band does go gold, it's much easier to work the metal, as it remains soft and ductile while working, and can be beaten very thin, while retaining all of its original luster. :P

Welcome Noora from the land of ice and Reindeer!:) Enjoy the Earth, Coldplaying, and all it's inhabitants!:escaping:
  14. Silicon: An element so common, it's sands alone!:laugh3: While others search the periodic chart for exotic elements, too rare to be put to mass use, silicon can supply all of our needs for solar, and we'd hardly make a dent in the supply...;) And on the other end of things, those who oogle for gold, there's maybe a future in a safe source for the shiny brassy element, from the hydrothermal benthos beneath the oceans..USGS Fact Sheet: The Escanaba Trough of Gorda Ridge: A Laboratory for Mineral-forming Processes Better to get what we like and return the arsenates to a place where nature knows how to deal with them already, methinks this is a good idea..
  15. Yes, loaded questions - I agree. I truly believe in markets, but the test results are that I'm a Socialist?? I don't feel like Ghandi, but that's the image below the graph! :laugh3: It's too simplistic, simply put.
  16. :rolleyes:Or, it might be a Qadaffi thing, where they think they own the ocean wayyy out, like 100's of miles from their coast line. China's got a little of the land-grab mentality going, with Tibet and elsewhere.. Wait till they try and seize Australia!:P
  17. Move north, and get some of the stimulus money!:laugh3: Robert Reich says we need to be spending 1.3 to 1.4 Trillion, but the conservatives wanted 800 Billion. Money to be spent on roads, bridges, canals, u-name-it! Quick, get into construction, and line up for the cash jobs!:builder::builder::builder::dance:
  18. "A Chinese Intelligence ship and several others surrounded the USNS Impeccable, an unarmed vessel with a civilian merchant marine crew" Well, that hardly sounds intelligent to me! 25 feet - that's pretty close, and not too smart. And they mooned them?:laugh3: A ship conduction research for ocean surveys - maybe the Chinese government doesn't want the world to know how polluted the ocean is getting? Hmm.. sounds just plain strange to me. With the government of China, I think there's a fair amount of room to go yet in transitioning from a closed society to an open society. Not that we haven't moved into Orwellian territory in ways here in the US, but even with all the spying, there's little that's off limits even on the net. (or NYET, as they say in mother Russia.):P
  19. Ah, if only for the essence of the moment Carla! Some times you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't!:curtain: Welcome & laydownyourguns!:P (Gotanametogowiththat?)
  20. :sunny:RULES? There's rules for this zoo??:laugh3: Welcome to the cool Coldplaying side of the planet Mercury. Please keep moving - the sunrise is a roaster!:P !
  21. :escaping::escaping::escaping:IMO!:P
  22. Spam is like two satellites colliding in space. Nobody gets hurt initially, but the debris field thus created presents a lasting hazard for all future space travelers. In art, as in life, less is more.;)
  23. A Scathing Rebuttal.:laugh3: You'd make a lovely alloy, with Nickel and Iron?
  24. Why is Cobalt so Blue?
  25. 1,000 dollars a month sounds like a huge amount of money, I must say so too. Then if Coldplay tickets are $177 each, I think they should offer a discount for ordinary wage earners!:smug:
