  1. Greetings to you, steeltowner!:pirate::builder2::sunny:
  2. Greetings to you, Johan Sebastian Bach!:elvis::pleased:
  3. Hmm.. It's sometimes necessary for me to log in again after so many minutes to post, but viewing is usually no big deal?? I'm baffled, but this site is quirky. Anyhow, glad you could join us!:)
  4. ;)sounds good to me!! Hmm.. well, something that "you" (like, thousands of people here) don't know.. Umm.. I wear a size 10 & 1/2 shoe:P.. (such useful information, eh?!;))
  5. In the most common sense, by definition, this is true. However, most people do not see it this way. And while he may be "conservatively spending" on programs aimed to help people in need, he is "liberally spending" on those programs which are damaging to our well being! What most people think of when they hear the term "liberal" or the term "conservative" is not simply one of spending preference, but also of philosophical difference. So, I would rather not have the term "liberal" applied to Bush - yes, he is criminal, not liberal. I have neighbors who I do hold in high regard - and they are the Eisenhower conservatives. Their version of conservatism I see as legitimate and thoughtful, to the benefit of the nation, and very cautious on excess defense spending. So, if we could combine careful spending with effective government, we would get somewhere!!;)
  6. Money Talks! Too many political pay-outs and campaigns checks; it's an incestuous relationship between big corporations, lobbyists, and politicians. True, this is where Campaign Finance Reform with Real Teeth needs to take hold. Without it, the Government will not do what's in the best interests of we, the people.
  7. Bush's Government Expansion: 1. War Department (a closer fit than Defense under Bush) 2. Spy agencies 3. Debt. growing 4. Church-State Agencies 5. Pork to Donors ----------------------------------------------- Liberal Government Programs: 1. FEMA 2. Funding Real Science 3. Agencies for oversight of common interests (OSHA, FDA, etc.) 4. Safety-nets (health care, Soc. Sec. retirement benefits, etc.) So, Bush is no Liberal in my book! He's grown the government all right - just not things that benefits the majority of Americans! Tell the truth!

    If I put my opinion here, I might be nailed to a cross, but here goes: Nobody is celibate. Because sexuality and sexual urges are inherently human, natural, and unavoidable. Because it is quite normal to lust for another on occasion, and despite claims, I'm sure even the Priests and Nuns have these urges.. Now that might only mean fantasizing for them, but what I recall being told is that that's breaking with celibacy as well, so... But there are times when one can be in various states of mind and body where sexuality is not an element - any discipline has this trait to it, and certainly there are moments when one might be considered celibate in state-of-mind; it's situational. Perhaps 98% of the time we are all celibate! But, we are natural, and just like the fishes and the birds, the urge to mate is essential for our very survival as a species. Perhaps also the need to be focused and task-oriented has an equally important role in our survival; both are essential. Anyhow, I believe in the natural truth. Virginity is all relative! After all, didn't Madonna sing that song, "Like a Virgin"??:laugh3:
  9. :laugh3:So True! Thanks!!;);) And let's make a list of all the destructive things our so-called president has done to destroy our nation, and the cherished liberties we stand for, just to remind the myth sayers of the truth. I can think of a few: 1. Spy on American's private phone and internet conversations without a warrant, or even a post-fact warrant. 2. Tell total lies to get us into a war in Iraq, avoiding a more sensible liberal approach of containment and pressure for policy change. 3. Hobble Federal Agencies, such as FEMA, the catastrophic result of which is the loss of life and suffering of our fellow Americans in New Orleans 4. Try to create a position of Dictator, called the Unitary Executive, when any true American knows damn well that the President's powers are specifically limited by the Constitution to avoid putting absolute power in the hands of one person (ie - to avoid the pitfalls of having Kings..). 5. Widen the gap between Rich and Poor, or as Bush himself put it "I'm here to be with the haves, and the have mores!".. So we working people in the US spin our wheels, while the top 10% get filthy rich, and refuse economic equity, thinking they earned it all themselves, and forget to play fair. 6. Deregulate Business and Markets, which is to say "remove the referee of honest government", and let business self-regulate. "Free Markets" sounds nice, but with no oversight, the game becomes a brawl, and people get hurt in the process. = wall street gambling markets threaten average Americans security in home loans, and almost caused a global financial collapse. And let's not forget Bush's principal backers in 2000: ENRON. Nothing I've see tops that one for corrupt big-business practices. 7. Plow blindly ahead in Iraq, when the policy is a failed one, and anyone who can feel for people on the ground know it only backfires to be an occupier. 8. Censor Climate Science Results to fall in line with energy conglomerate wishes, and subvert the role of the US Government in seeking the truth on matters of basic science. 9. Label political opposition and public interest groups as "terror suspect groups" and plant spies into meetings of the likes of the Sierra Club! So much for freedom to peaceably assemble! Not to mention, the right of privacy!! And, no search and seizure without a warrant, based on probable cause, and issued by a judge! They stepped right around that one. 10. Head us backwards on Nuclear non-proliferation by pushing for nuclear bunker-busting missiles and projectiles. The last thing we need is another nuclear arms-race, and to use the most dangerous weapons, when this is non-essential. (ie - Policy from the stone ages.) I could go on for days - this President is the most Un-American President I have known, and the sooner he and his cronies leaves office, the better!! Viva La Revolution!!
  10. Nuts! ..By The Way, WHAT?? Are you Nuts?? That statement might be true, IF you inverted it's meaning!! (unless this is just a ruse to rouse the ire in those of us who have suffered under Mad King George's Reign of Error!) He is the most insensitive, dim-witted, hard-headed, twisted, rights-grabbing nincompoop we've ever had as President!! He may go down in history as our Worst President Ever - that's a pretty significant stat., considering the lemons dished up in the past. About the only thing Bush has done successfully is to unite opposition to his band of aristocratic criminals, and prove Ray McGovern right when Ray asserts that "the crazies are in charge!". And he relishes, with full knowledge, his making unfair policy decisions, and then seemingly "sticking it in the eye" of the American Public on TV, almost as though he were giving us all the finger in the process! GRRR!*@#!! He is a mistake. He has done more to damage this nation and our cherished institutions than even the likes of Senator Joe McCarthy in the 1950's. Jail time for George Now!

  19. Giving them the sleeping pill, or the sudden electrical shortage??;) One other option: return fire with fire! Blast em' with air-horns when they try to sleep! (once again, you did not hear that one from this little black duck!):P and I'm thinking... how do we keep it all going??
  20. Because, the trolley costs 50cents, and it goes through the Kingdom of adventureland!:P
  21. Eddie was taught on classical organ and piano?? Seems to me - the intro to one of their songs he did a most excellent job on the keyboard!;)
