I'll give a comprehensive review later but on the first and subsequent listen, I realise that this album has no flow. Unlike MX or even GS. The songs are too varied in style to be put together. You either do a album with Birds and Up&Up or an album with AOAL and AHFOD. These songs shouldn't be together on the same album me thinks. It's just very jarring.

Yes, you're probably right. But you would think that because they are older now, they'll stop doing poppy songs like this. I had hope that GS was the day, Coldplay will slow down and chill out and do more acoustic stuff - instead of dancing around like One D. I'm not dissing them or anything. I just think that they are way past the MX days. Why go backwards? Really hoping this is the last album where we hear any sort of techno in their songs. No, I do mean GS. Because I know by now they are not capable of doing stuff like Parachutes or AROBTHH. And I don't mean that in a mean way. Just saying from the evolution of the band, I really don't think they'll do anything like the songs of old. GS is probably the closest we'll ever get.

I'm one of those fans who thinks they should do more GS than MX and it's a shame that they are going to do more MX just to please the masses. (Yes, I"m an Oldplayer) Though I don't dislike AOAL I don't like it either and I hope the whole album isn't like this. MX had its moments that made it NOT the worst album out there so if they do follow the footsteps of MX, I've got hope that AHFOD will have it's moments and then some as well (and going by the tracklisting, I think it will). Also, absolutely HATE the album title. I was still holding onto hope it was a joke. Bleah.

It's reminds me of Bombay bicycle club's song Luna or Feel. Their last album had a lot of Indian influence and I'm thinking the boys will follow in that similar direction. Even the video looks like BBC album cover. Lol.

They were! Though I wised they changed it up a bit. They played the songs without any variation from the album which was a bit dull. But Fitzpleasure is such a good song live! Wow!

Agreed! I'm a huge fan of these boys but I'm extremely disappointed with this album. :( I think I only like two song on this album (Wilder Mind and Monster). Everything else is pretty meh. This album shows they can't do rock properly. They should stick with folk. It suits Marcus' voice more. He sounds horribly in most of the songs. It doesn't go well with the sound of the album.

I don't know what I think of this new song. Listened to it twice and I'm bored with it. Such a shame though. Wish they stuck with their old style. :(

Not all that keen on The Wolf to be honest. Think Believe sounds better.

Agreed. I think Believe sounds like a song where they replace their banjos with guitars. LOL. Yes he can. He's usually playing the drums when they do Lovers of the Light live.

What do we think of the new single? I'm really liking it. I was a bit iffy when I heard they were ditching the banjos but so far so good. From the first single, their style of music is still retained - just a little bit more edgier, darker. So I think the third album will be quite good. Can't wait!

What do we think of the new song? Had to listen to it a few times to get use to it. Lol. I liked the slow beginning and then the heavy guitars began I'm like, "WTF?!" Haha. It's good though. Needs some getting use to. Looks like the album will be more rock.
