  1. Great article...I'm getting excited. Can't wait to get the album. Is the Sun a reliable source? What are the most reliable papers in the UK, which are the tabloids over there?
  2. This is great! Thanks!
  3. I have a question. Did anyone see them on the floor last time for the X&Y tour. How good were your seats? I just want to get an idea if it is worth it to get any seats on the floor. I am on the shorter side.. 5'4. I was wondering if you get a good view of the band even if you aren't in the first few rows. It's expensive and if I won't be able to see them, then I will go for the best that is available for $50. I have only been on the floor once for united center, but there were no seats. It was alright, but kind of difficult to see ( I was way in the back). Good sound though. Stevemir....sorry to hear about that. Yah, I was glad that I was still able to make it when they changed the concert date. It does kind of suck that they just changed it out of the blue. I am sure they will probably have more cities to tour in the future. Maybe next year!
  4. I finally heard it on the radio this morning. Took long enough! :dozey: :)
  5. When you "think" you saw a celebrity or someone you knew but aren't really sure...usually it is because you really saw them. Otherwise, you would definately know it was not them. Usually when I am not sure, but feel strongly about it, then it is true. I don't know...unless you recently have been thinking a lot about hoping to chance meet him. But, I am sure if you were going about your day and weren't thinking about him at all, it could definately be him. Too bad you didn't get a closer look. :) I wonder what he was doing in Scotland... :D
  6. Yah, they were giving them away today in the morning, but you had to have a story to tell on their station to get one. You had to be married and you had to be a woman, because you needed to talk about how you don't trust your husband with your children...or something like that. Best story won. Anyways, that just cut my chances of winning... since I am not married. If you were a guy it would have cut your chances of winning too. Tomorrow they will be giving away another pair of tickets. Who knows how. I was ready to dial up this morning...oh well.
  7. This is great! Nice investigator skills... maps.live.com...is pretty neat... I have used it a couple times at my job...
  8. I'll be waiting...
  9. Yay, if it is true! That means I don't have to wait as long!
  10. Yah, there were two legs of the tour...that is why I can't believe they aren't going to be playing more cities and for more than one day in particular states. The question is when they will fit it in since they are going to be touring Europe & the UK too... But, yah next year sounds right.
  11. Hey! Lurking is fun! Don't worry, I think I saw that there were 90 guests reading in this forum not to long ago... But, I'm glad you posted your story. Yah, I just started thinking about that today. That is kind of bad on their part...if there is no other NY show. I still can't believe that is true, since NY is one of the biggest cities in the US! And Chris lived their for some time. I just don't know why they didn't make this "free show" just for NY if they knew that in the beginning there was not going to be no other show. They shouldn't keep people's hopes up. Why is it only 3,500 people anyways? If it is a free show...why not fill the whole stadium up?
  12. I'm not dying cause I already got to hear two of their new songs...but it is difficult when you get on here and a lot of people are talking about the new songs. I will be happy when I get my cd and can listen to all of it in its entirety without having heard everything already. So it will be new! I mean what would be the use in buying the cd later anyways, if I already heard everything? I still buy cds and don't always download mp3s. Even if I can download it all from itunes, I still want the cd if I am going to listen to all of the songs.
  13. Thanks :) Yipee! I can't wait! I was like, please not another dissapointment...like I have to wait till tomorrow to see them play. I know I will forget if I don't see it today! I hope it is good!
  14. Isn't it today? I was excited to see it today. I just looked up on Kimmel's website...it says Wednesday, June 4th! Or am I seeing things?
  15. It is a bummer! but on another note... Are they even playing a show in NY other than the free one that they are having? I didn't notice any while I was looking today. If they aren't, it really wouldn't make sense if everyone that is from NY didn't win, because what other show would they go to, if they can't get out of the state? I suppose they are going to post other shows later than the ones that are already planned? I waited outside Metro, in Chicago to buy tickets to an intimate show last time they were touring for X & Y. I was majorly bummed when they only chose around the first 10-15 in line to get tickets. The venue holds a lot more. I waited for 4 hours and know that the others ahead of me must have waited much longer. I was extremely disappointed when we didn't even get a chance at getting tickets. I wouldn't have waited that long if I knew I didn't have a chance. It seems when it comes to free or smaller shows they don't have everything planned quite right...information wise. Then what sucked even more, is I heard they let people in who were waiting outside the venue right before the concert when they heard their story about not being able to get the tickets... Whatever...you win some, you lose all
  16. Man, I should have read this! Why does it have to be so hard to sign up for a contest. It really shouldn't be. I mean all the other contests I have ever signed up for don't say that you have to confirm that you have signed up. Anyways...bummer...I would have made sure that I got a confirmation e-mail and signed up a million times if I knew that before.
  17. ahhh....I didn't know you had to confirm an e-mail to be entered in the contest. I never got a confirmation e-mail, nor did I check my junk e-mal to see if it got sent there. I had problems getting the Violet Hill song too when if first came out. I just assumed when it said, you have entered the contest, then I had entered. It sucks that there were so many problems just entering the contest. I was willing to take a day off from work to go there. :( Yah, and they should have given more time for people to get prepared announcing it earlier...
  18. I was wondering how much of a part does jonny have and the other guys in this song excluding Chris, since it sounds like the song has a whole lot of other instruments going on (string instruments and such). Chris's voice was a little off...I think they just haven't had a whole lot of practice... I really don't ever hear Chris's voice straining to hit notes. I was a bit suprised. Was wondering if anyone else noticed.
  19. I finally watched this on mtv.com, since I don't have cable. I must say I wasn't sure how the performance would be or if I would like their new song since I haven't heard it in its entirety yet. But, I must say after watching their performance over more than once, I am digging the Viva La Vida song. I must say I love the strings (orchestral instruments) on this song. I think it makes the song. I love that its more upbeat as well. Chris' peformance was good, but probably because it is his first time performing in such a long time, his vocals seemed strained in parts. I felt like he had a little bit of a hard time in parts to get some of the notes. I've never heard him have to try and get notes before. But, I loved the music overall and what they did with the song. My sis says that maybe it is because the words are so much faster in this song...maybe it was a change for his voice. Nice pics btw!!!
  20. Omg! It's tomorrow! I am glad that I came by here. I would have missed it. Can't wait to see it! ::rubs her hands with excitement!:: I remember seeing them on Jimmy's anniversary special...that was totally by luck too, because I don't watch Jimmy on a regular basis...that whole Matt Damon/Ben Affleck thing was hiiiiilaaaarious!
  21. :laugh3: I know...I have thought of that and didn't know if anyone noticed. Women always try harder to look good!

Thanks Mimi! :daisy: I couldn't believe I found one! I still haven't seen the Billboard magazine here yet!

better late than never! :) i found one! yay!
  24. For the Alpine Valley show...the sounds wasn't that great. But....that was because we were able to get pit tickets. So, I traded the sound for finally being able to be up close. I am sure the people behind us, got to hear them really well. In the pit, I think the speakers were actually kind of behind us. But, it was so exciting to be that close. For the United Center concert last year, we didn't have really close tickets. But, I thought the sound was better, since the speakers were this time in front of us. But, my sister did complain about the sound, saying it was hard to hear them clearly. Both experiences were good for different reasons. I got to see the stage as a whole and all the effects for the United Center one since we were on the side. Here are my pics from that show: We were kind of off to the side...so we didn't get a great view of them. Pics aren't that great. But, it was fun anyways.
  25. I didn't get a verification e-mail...I was wondering this too.
