Belinda Emmett, wife of Rove McManus from the Australian talk-show Rove Live, died today after losing her long battle with cancer. It's sad when anyone is taken from cancer and alike illnesses and even moreso when many horrific battles are won but the overall war is lost. http://news.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=161157 Mainly Australian and New Zealanders would be aware of this union. For those who aren't sure who Rove is, you may recall he did an interview with Chris and Jonny a little while back.

well of course it was never going to last lol the old saying love is blind applies here and she couldn't see what we all saw. how many times have we been observers of relationships we knew would never last yet seen the duration go longer than it should've and evetually fail? and it's not restricted to celebrities, but to anyone.

i love mew. this band is amazing. i really want to see them live. there is something about jonas that really intrigues me. their music is addictive - i can't stop listening...not that i want to :nice: :dreamy:

the video is a compilation of tracks. initially pour me, followed by sleeping sun, gravity then the speed of sound video. it's set up similarly to the australian tour edition cd/dvd though not all b-sides are included in that ^

looking back at past US presidents, you can't really compare them on the same scale. i'd definitely say bush is a terrible president but not the worst. from an outsiders perspective, it seems bush takes one step forward and two leaps back. unfortunately i can't get into details as i really don't follow the US political movements of the bush administration which possibly shows i don't think much of him lol hopefully he isn't re-elected. so not the worst president but a bad one, yet how many in the past haven't stumbled one or twice (that we know of)? that's no excuse of course.

Hey Carole! on rove live where bono mentioned why he gets to meet such high profile officials was such a clarifiying statement. he has the best quotes. their answers to the question of what they would be doing now if u2 didn't exist was classic. adam's answer was spot on. loved it! this has reminded me of something that happened on monday: a workmate of mine said "i'm going to the u2 concert" and honestly, my jaw dropped, i couldn't believe it. after telling her how disappointed i was missing out etc she was like "yeah, i'm not really a fan-fan, like i don't know many of their songs or anything but i like them. my friend asked me if i wanted to go and i was like 'sure' " all of a sudden i was filled with rage lol seriously stood in disbelief. i started telling her about the supporting act being kanye west, and she was like "who is that?" (i'm really not kidding, this is what she was saying). this insane conversation ended with her going "haha, that's so funny you said that because i would've thought the rapper was part of u2 or something". all i was thinking was "am i truly having this conversation?" :stunned: :thinking:

i don't get why so many people are against her. i really don't care about her personal life despite it being repeatedly splashed on magazing covers etc. she had made a lot of stupid decisions lately but everyone has done stupid things, they just don't have it magnified x times to the point of ridiculous. but good for her and the divorce. federline was a huge mistake.

hey everyone, haven't been here in a while due to studies but this couldn't wait... U2 are in brisbane performing tonight, well actually they have already performed and i am feeling like one unlucky lady right now since i didn't go :( it was sold out before i even knew there was a concert so i'm relying on carole (yes carole, you lol) to post pics....others are welcome as well of course :nice: the boys are roughly 2 hours away from me, only 1 at the moment since they're in brissy and that alone is bloody exciting. the interview on rove live was pretty ok, nowhere near the quality of enough rope but anything is better than nothing. Ahhhhhh this is ridiculous. U2 are in australia and i'm going to miss the whole thing. *contemplates drastic measures to see them* lol ok, i'll be back after my exam tomorrow.... coldplayers support is always appreciated :)
