  1. Wow thanks man those are great! :D
  2. Ab-so-lutely. I was driving home from work and this part came up. Um, lets just say I didn't know my car stereo volume went that loud... :D
  3. This song has been growing on me all day. Everything about it just works. :)
  4. Haha! Brilliant.
  5. Haha ohh jeez. Yeah, all I'm gonna say is... Justin Timberlake.

Haha YES!! I was just listening to it before the Kimmel performance in the dark with my TV turned down and it scared me silly! He only says like one word, any idea what it is?

Umm has anyone else heard the talking during the song at about 1:45? Or is it just me? It sounds like Chris saying something. Its not much but I was wondering if anyone else had caught it. Haha it scared the living shit out of me when I was rocking to it on headphones... :P
  8. Death And All His Friends has built a campfire and is roasting marshmallows in my brain. This song is taking over my emotions. Lovers In Japan is so God damn catchy. 42 is a three part journey that every Coldplay fan must experience. UGH every time I talk about this music it makes me want to tell everyone how much I love it! Good grief Coldplay, you've got me...
  9. Whew, quite an upgrade from the MTV performance. I loved the end of Violet Hill!
  10. Haha yup, that the one they were trying to make sound like "Cry Me A River" :P
  11. Haha yes yes, we'll do some slogan/siggy shenanigans tomorrow. Today has been crazy. We'll save some fun for our recovery day tomorrow :P BTW that album cover is killer.
  12. No order. Death And All His Friends Lovers In Japan/Reign Of Love Viva la Vida Lost! 42
  13. Absolutely. I can't stop listening to this song because of those lyrics. Wonderful, epic, chilling.
  14. Semy: shall we put something in our siggies about being in the VLVODAAHF/AROBTTH Army? I would love to represent the ranks :smug:
  15. Whew at this point you can count me in. Parachutes has a lot to offer and its Coldplay's roots, but VLV is SO much more well planned and put together as a whole. AROBTTH is the album I know Coldplay for, but VLV is the album I love Coldplay for because they still know how to make absolutely amazing music. I don't wanna follow death and all his friends, but I will sure as hell follow the VLVODAAHF/AROBTTH Army!! :D
  16. Life In Technicolor - 8.4 (Perfect intro for the album, low rating cause its not an actual song yet) Cemeteries Of London - 8.9 (I love the melody and the vocal arrangement for the chorus, not one of the best songs though) Lost! - 9.5 (Great lyrics, drums are classic, the guitar solo is my favorite lick on the album) 42 - 9.4 (Yup, that was a three part dedication to The Beatles and Radiohead. And it was very well done) Lovers In Japan - 9.5 (The piano is absolutely lovely, I wish this song went on forever haha) Reign Of Love - 9.2 (More piano shenanigans, is it on a delay effect? Who cares, its awesome) ~ (LIJ/ROL - 10) (The best combo on the album. Period.) Yes - 9.1 (Killer orchestral sounds. Whoever arranged this song went the extra mile.Oh, and Chris is in a vocal register I've never even heard before) Chinese Sleep Chant - 8.7 (If the lyrics were brought through a little bit more then this would have been a really cool song. Possibly a single. The guitars are nice though) ~ (Yes/CSC - 9.3) (This combo is missing something. Maybe piano? I dunno) Viva La Vida - 9.3 (The first half of the album title lives up to its name, this song is epic the way it is but its missing some love from the band as a whole) Violet Hill - 8.8 (Great track, but I could never really get into this one. I bet it would make a killer acoustic track though) Strawberry Swing - 9.2 (Vocals and the guitar are perfect together, drums are still chugging along at this point in the album at I'm still loving it. I think this one could grow on me so maybe I need a few more listens) Death And All His Friends - 9.6 (Love this song. This is the new Coldplay in my eyes. Listen to the end in headphones. I gives me chills) The Escapist - 8.9 (LIT with lyrics? Cool. And thats about it haha. No in all seriousness I like how they opened and finished the album with the same synthy feel) ~ (DAAHF/Escapist - 9.7) (These two flow well and end the album in style. Probably the best finale compared to the other albums) Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends: 9.6 When Chris said driving music, he wasn't kidding. I could drive around all day with this album in my car. AND listen all the way through. But this is only my first opinion, an opinion I need to sleep on and think about. So technically, this is just my first impression. And a good one at that. Its not AROBTTH, its not Parachutes, and its definitely NOT X&Y. Its VLVODAAHF, and so far its fucking awesome.
  17. Anyone else think the rhythms and drum samples in this album are incredible? Will has done some serious work. Even if this might not be the album we remember Coldplay for, I believe Will Champion has definitely shown us his best ;)
  18. Glad to hear more positive thoughts on the album! And yes, its definitely better than X&Y so far...
  19. Not my favorite so far, but definitely the perfect song choice to follow the joyful LIT. I love how the feel of things go from dark to light. Thats what the album sounds like so far...
  20. Ahhh what is going onnn?? Where are these songs??
  21. Haha well lets be more realistic. There's a lot of people in New York. It might just be coincidence that they're all posting ;)
  22. Aw don't bum out just yet, they might be delayed because of all the people they had to email. It would be nice if some of us got emails saying we DIDN'T win if we actually didn't so we aren't sitting around for the next week or so going insane. But it hasn't even been 24 hours yet. Keep the hope alive! :D
  23. Hmm still no conformation here either...
  24. Haha SO fake. A job well done, but I still prefer Viva ;)
  25. Ahh HAHA! I just started humming the Boondock Saints theme song while I was listening to this! Anyone else hear the chord progression? Haha I'm so weird...
