  5. yellowtalk replied to shagbal's topic in Coldplay
I knew there was something similar between those two! :laugh3:
  6. Haha i never knew that and just tried...it actually works! So thats how those headphone-amps from vox work :D
  7. Can i have permission to copy this and post in the official Coldplay tab thread? I will reference it as your work
  8. Awesome! Maybe I need to get back to my stopmotion and get a proper project happening
  9. Yep that's correct :) I got my old behringer pedal out this afternoon and tried. Funny to see that I can achieve more on the Behringer over against the BOSS pedal:laugh3:
  10. The lad rocks!! He played very well! :) Good on Coldplay for making his wish come true :) I think Roadie #42 wrote something about about it in a blog.
  11. l62B is listed for in my place. I'm guessing that refers to the Line 6 Dl4 eh? either way it sounds pretty good with/without delay! oh and he's using two delays for Everything's Not Lost:\
  12. oh i see! I thought i definately heard some delay in there. I guess maybe in the earlier live versions he did i.e. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Chh2aT3GBU]YouTube - Coldplay - In My Place live - Jools Holland 2002[/ame] Yeah it almost sounds like he's using his POG to get a harmonizer in the MTV World Stage performance. Cheers for looking into it! I'm a perfectionist when it comes to Coldplay :D
  13. Thanks! Sweet same as me! Interesting to note with the DD-3 you can't get the correct delay time for In My Place can't get a long enough delay :( Do you know which setting is used for Everything Is Not Lost?
  14. oh i see, thanks :) What is the approx delay time?
  15. not quite!!! I'll be making a greater input after exams finish so stick around folks:) oh and by the way, Can we please all make the effort to get along! We all love the music of Coldplay. And we can all share that appreciation for Coldplay on this thread! I think this thread is a great idea because I've learned alot from the tabs. However, we really need to all get along if we want tabs. If that means getting proper permission for tabs or referencing them correctly please do so or we are all going to end up hating each other and I believe that'd be a really big shame! :( So I think we can all take a few words from Chris Martin: "I wanna live life, never be cruel, I wanna live life, be good to you..." While we're on the topic I didn't actually know til these arguments came up that copyright on tabs was such a major issue. As a result the A Rush of Blood To The Head tab i posted is not all mine. It's based on someone elses and I've revised it. However, I've lost the source. If i do find it back I'll post it up straight away. Goodnight and keep rocking!
  16. cheers Tyler (that is your name?) What exactly do you mean by slap back delay?
  17. Love the wembly theme!! Thanks so much Twisted Mind :)
  18. Just use reverb and delay. Set the delay to speed the notes are played at. So if you were to play one note the delay 'bounces back' at the same speed. Get what i mean?
  19. Don't think so, I've only seen pictures of his DeVille Hot Rods and his Fender Twin Reverbs (they can be seen in the Shiver video) with the open backing Here we go: EDIT Chris used a Marshall amp for the Parachutes era as seen in this performance: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYGjmriZ6a0]YouTube - Coldplay live Bigger Stronger 2000[/ame]
  20. umm, i know he used DeVille's on A Rush of Blood To The Head + that tour, thats what Jonny's guitar tech said.
  21. I thought just playing a tele would give a pretty similar sound?
  22. I recorded this cover of A Rush Of Blood To The Head - Live a while ago, [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGFA_p8qMrc]YouTube - A Rush of Blood To The Head (Live) - Coldplay guitar Cover[/ame] After watching this cover (recorded about 12 months ago) I noticed I'm not getting the same quality sound out of my amp. Maybe it's my guitar? I don't really know. All I know is even though i've got higher quality pedals i.e. Pro Co Rat, Boss Overdrive, Digitech Reverb and Boss Delay, i'm not getting that full sound I got when recording the cover. Maybe it's my hearing, but that full reverb sound I got while using the slide isn't happening anymore.:\ Anyone got any suggestions? Is it the guitar, or maybe the amp. It's a very cheap guitar and I can't really afford anything at the moment. *Edit*, I also don't seem to be getting the same amount of sustain with my front pick up as I once did with my front pick. I used to just run a clean signal for the slide parts in Trouble outro. (riff tabbed below: E---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5--- B---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5--- G---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5--- D---12---/7---/12---/7~5---/12---/7---/12---/7~5--- A-------------------------------------------------- E--------------------------------------------------) However, now even with a small amount of Over-drive (emulating Jonny's MXR) I can't seem to get that nice amount of sustain as to vibrato the sustained notes.
  23. if it was No More Keeping My Feet On the Ground i'd have a tab!!
  24. Thanks Oracle you truly do answer my questions :)
