  1. Both the B and G strings are tuned down two half steps.
  2. Took me three attempts at this song, now the penny dropped.:laugh3: I learn something new everyday. Now it sounds perfect. Thanks Tyler
  3. The bend doesn't sound to me :( maybe its the amp I'm running the guitar through
  4. Thanks for the information/opinion Reilly and Horrific Attack (sorry, not sure what your names are). Finally I've got a greater understanding :)
  5. Argh, another negative report on British society. Many of the media reports I have read give me a solid impression that Britain is an 'unhappy' and 'unsafer' nation. Is this the case? And if so, why has it become this? Could someone do the honors of bringing me up to date on the situation. I've been wanting to find an answer to the two questions I've posted.
  6. Haha, you almost sound outraged!:laugh3: If that's the case, if it's wrong, could post the correct tuning. Sorry, I was under the impression it was right, though its been a long time since I've played Chris' guitar part too it. I'm too lazy to tune my guitar differently.
  7. To A Great Man I Shall Say: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
  8. Chris or Jonny's guitar? Well I'll give you the link to both :) http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/c/coldplay/god_put_a_smile_upon_your_face_ver4_tab.htm The tuning for Chris' guitar as stated in the link is: E > C# B > G# G > E D > B A > F# E > C# To achieve this tuning you must tune each string down 3 half steps. (that's the correct term?) The tuning for Jonny's guitar is standard: E B G D A E
  9. I doubt anyone would take up a case. Lovers In Japan wasn't as big a hit as Viva La Vida therefore there's not enough money to be made of it.:dozey:
  10. Wasn't a fan up until 3 seconds ago :)
  11. Very true, 'For You' is very calming. I forgot about that song last night, which is quite embarrassing because it's probably my all time favourite song. :smug:
  12. 11:03PM. I can't sleep. I don't want to sleep! I can't find a music track to calm me. My last try is to stick on Life In Technicolor. I do exactly that. Suddenly the excitement for Coldplay fills me again, this song is OVERWHELMING gooooooood!!!!:shocked2: Just when I think I'm over listening to Coldplay, when I think I'm sick of them I stick on a track I haven't heard in ages and they're the best thing ever all over again. Okay this post is random, I know, but there is no band on earth that comes close to Coldplay (Yes, I know I've kidded myself into thinking that) but these guys are awesome. I think they'll continue to stay where they are, #1 on the top of my favourite bands list. :D I think I can now sleep. :)
  13. Payment to EMI. It that the reason why Chris said in an interview I recently watched that they can't just go recording in any old church? They don't have the money after paying their record label? :laugh3:
  14. Wrong side of the country! I'm in WA. :( Maybe i'll do some research and see if they're playing it in WA, as that's where Shaun Tan grew up. *edit* Okay, I'm 4 years too late, it was on during 2006 and "The Arrival was well received by audiences of both adults and children, and was named ‘Best Production’ for 2006 at the Perth Theatre Trust/Actors Equity Guild Award."
  15. Oddly enough this was one of my favourite images from 'The Arrival'.
  16. ^^ Agreed, the Temper Trap are amazing!
  17. After a number of listens that exactly what I'm beginning to think... :\
  18. Highly unlikely, I'm not quite sure which award you're on about
  19. This guy is amazing! I remember studying his book 'The Arrival' last year for English. I was lost in the images of that book, it was something so new. It's a masterpiece really. He's unique, skilled and captures the 'weird and wonderful' brilliantly. Yet he makes its so very familiar.
  20. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctwRi-8A9jE]YouTube- Sally Seltmann - Harmony to My Heartbeat[/ame] :smug:
  21. Love this band! Got hooked listening to this band after hearing 'I Can Talk' on Triple J.
  22. I'll take your word for it, I haven't been around in ages, so it was a bit naive to try back up anything I was trying to say. :\ Either way, getting back on topic. I to a certain degree believe what is being said in article. As a result I spent to night reading instead of spending the night on the Internet. It turns out, I can actually keep myself occupied reading! Thanks to Lee Child (a brilliant author)!
  23. I'm probably a bit behind, but there's just a few songs from a few Aussie artists I still cannot get out of my head: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryvOjCGS6E4]YouTube- Broadcast Yourself.[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctwRi-8A9jE]YouTube- Sally Seltmann - Harmony to My Heartbeat[/ame] [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RUDc1frz22E]YouTube- Angus and Julia Stone - "and the boys" [music video] HD[/ame] Art Vs Science - Friend In a Field
  24. woah, now hold on there! All i wanted to do was give someone a compliment for a thread that was posted. It seems like in this day and age it can't be done without someone pulling it to pieces. (I've been away for a way, I guess the scene has changed.) I in no way meant to sound condescending or degrading. To me it seemed like it needed explaining, and now I look like a fool damnit!
