  1. I don't have the tabs, but I can write it down!
  2. There are a few good starters basses. I had a Richwood JazzBass when I started for around 100 guldens(dutch money when I bought it) and it was very, very good. You can buy Squier starter pack.. BUT don't do it. They realy suck.. never buy Standard Squiers, they are worse then Standard Fenders. If you wan't a quality Squier, better then standard Fenders. Go for the Squier Vintage series! They costs round 200 euros and sounds sooo good. Other good brands: Cort, Yamaha, Ibanez, OLP.. The best thing to do is testing. Go to the musicstore and test some basses.. take the best you can take. Also the amp can be cheap and good. I suggest Hartke combos or Ampeg or Marshall. I started with Harkte and using now Marshall.. but my old Harkte combo did costs less then my bass.. Another tip: Start with a Jazz bass. You can learn everything on it.. Slapping sounds the best on a jazz, even the Richwood I had! And another tip.. Learn as much theory as possible.. There is a free online bassbook.. And its the best I know! Link: http://wheatsbassbook.org/ Another good tutorial website: Youtube! Have fun! And if you have any questions.. post them here! ;)

The guitar is in DADGBe tuned in 42. ;)
  5. First do water in a pot and let it cook. After that add your old strings to it. Cook it 2 minutes and remove all things besides the strings with a spoon. Remove the water before the strings!! Then let the strings dry. Be careful! only do this twice not more times. And the strings won't be as new, but a little bit better, for short time. And I don't know if it will work with all strings for acoustic guitars.
  6. Do this is in the following order: 1. Remove your strings. 2. Cook your strings. 3. Clean your whole guitar. 4. Let your strings dry in the sun. 5. Put your strings back on the guitar. 6. Tune all strings in : F# - B - E - A - C# - F# (2 half steps higher.) 7. Tune all strings to sandard tuning. After this do the next thing to check the retuning after capo-ed in the following order: 1. Add capo on 7th fret and play the lowest scale. 2. Add capo on 5th fret and play the lowest scale. 3. Add capo on 3th fret and play the lowest scale. 4. add capo on 1st fret and play the lowest scale. If the problems didn't solved, try other strings. Be careful, only cook steel strings!
  7. The best thing to train your timing, it doing the metronome with your feet. The self-metronome(tapping with your foot) is the best way, because it is from your brains, the same as your playing with the instrument.
  8. Wow those pictures are very nice! :)
  9. Got a few band broke ups to, but still can't stop with music.. and busy with starting a band with another artists, and the plans are huge. So, try find something new, better.. because you got alot more experience now!;)
  10. I want a Ric too! The red/burst of the 4003! But you can't get them easy here in The Netherlands. Well you can, but there will be only a few send to The Netherlands in a year. :(
  11. 5000-6000 :o
  12. The '70 basses are not on the Fender site and I think that they're rare? And about the Squiers. The Vintage Modified series(whit the Thinline) are better then Classic and Mexican Fenders.
  13. I probably know what it is. I think he use soundfonts for it, cello/violin soundfonts. I found a soundfont that sounds very close to this.. so maybe he use that one to?
  14. Set you volume low. Play hard, very hard. It works for me to get that sound.
  15. The standard series of the Squier are bad, not even official Fender parts on it! But the Vintage Modified series, with the Thinline in it are good, very good. They use real Fender parts and have higher ratings then the Fender Thinline! My Jazz Bass is also from that series and is amazing! The only problem is that it produce alot of noise.. There are a few ways to remove it. The Vintage Modified series are better then the Fender classis series. And they are also better then the Mexican Fenders. When I was to the store, I had planned to buy a good Fender Jazz Bass few years ago. I saw this JazzBass and wanted to try it.. It looks soo great! I had already tried some Fender Jazzbasses and after I played this Squier.. It is magic.. the best bass I played my whole life. I still wan't another Bass. I wan't the: American Vintage ‘62 Precision Bass And the American Standard Precision Bass red color. Indeed, both that Guy have!
  16. The name of song that have been added at the end is called: Politik! It is written by Coldplay.. not a Classical part! ;)

Didnt seen it good too.. But I know the bass notes are mostly in F, and the first fret of both E strings is the F.. so I play it acoustic with capo on 1st. :P

Some things that I've noticed when I see 42 live. Jonny & Chris use the same effect. Jonny plays on dropped low D string.(DADGBe) The riff on guitar after the intro is: String G: Fret 10, then bend 12 to 13 and back, then 10. Then a chord with the 13th fret on the G string in it. Acoustic guitar CAPO 1st fret.
  25. I can scan the Tab book of Parachutes, that is better then the PVG book, but it takes alot of work..
