I made that comment 10 minutes into the match after Van Persie twice easily slipped behind them. As I later commented, The Holland back line completely disintegrated by the middle of the match. Worse as I've ever seen it. That said, I've heard from and agree with several analysts who say that the German centerback situation is their main weakness at the moment. As a Bremen fan, I followed Mertesacker closely at Arsenal, and I can't pretend like he was the solid, consistent defender that he was a couple years ago, as I witnessed some truly awful games for him in red (hence him being benched, you did see he didn't play, right?). I've never been overly impressed with Badstuber. I respect what Hummels has been for Dortmund, he made some mistakes today, but I know he can hold his spot until Brazil. That said, this pairing doesn't inspire anything near the same confidence that Merte-Friedrich did in the world cup. My other point was just that, as individual players, I would pick Mathijsen and Heitinga over their counter-parts on the playground most days of the week.

Just saw this. Every song was brilliant, but if I had to single out a few, I'd say Bloom, Idioteque, Nude and House of Cards. Also surprised how good mr. Magpie and daily mail were, felt like completely different songs. And people were throwing glowsticks the whole time, I even threw a few.

Apparently she finds me adorable. When I went up to have her sign my setlist I was a socially awkward penguin per usual, after I walked away a young couple caught up to me and said she had told them as much when I was out of earshot. :blush:

Pretty much everyone in superjam crowd tonight expected either Jack or Thom to show. Turned out to just be a bunch of good (but less exciting) 80s soul and R&B artists. Haven't finished the you-tube stream vid, but notice that buzz lightyear balloon? An hour before he show it popped up in the back of the pitline and 10 minutes later he was 50 feet in front me tryin to sneak in near the front of the line. It was hilarious because he balloon acted like a big sims arrow. Anyway, people just told him to fuck off until everyone else was through. He seemed just fine a couple of songs later. Thom just comically dismissed it, saying something like: "Oh, Jonny's sliced his hand up, oh well, luckily you don't need your hand for this one (everything in its right place). *Jonny looks puzzled as techie hands him a cloth and takes the guitar* Thom: You can put the guitar down Jonny, there you go!

Btdubs, even though I don't have Mike's frame of reference (first show), the show was fucking amazing in every way. Several songs felt longer just for the occasion and Yorke ia the greatest banterist ever. It seems that Jonny cut up his hand during bodysnatchers, and it looked like he was actually wiping blood off his pedals afterwards.:\
