It looks like the band is confident about the album and at the same time they love it, that's why I like coldplay, they just love to play music, that's why they are so good, but specialy this new album seems to fit well into the band's expectatives, tastes and pleasures. They did what they wanted to, not what the others were expecting them to do. "So there's probably some magnum opuses that we've left off that are very clever, but they don't sound like they're alive." then release a b-sides album!! :P
