  1. "I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life, I know you’ll be a star In somebody else’s sky, but why Why, why can’t it be, why can’t it be mine" - Pearl Jam "Everywhere I look you're all I see Just a fading fucking reminder of who I used to be" - Nine Inch Nails "October and kingdoms rise and kingdoms fall But you go on and on" - U2 And oh lord there's plenty more, but I don't want to take up loads of space.
  2. I seriously despise Ashanti. I want to slap her. Yet I still like "Foolish". Whyyyyyy?
  3. I love love love her music, but she looks exactly like my dead aunt. Which always has and always will creep me out.
  4. I get to see him at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre on July 18. We're way the hell in the back cuz my mom procrastinated on buying tickets for my birthday, but I'm not complaining.
  5. I want to rape that little country bumpkin. I really do. Er, but you don't know that.
  6. Jesus Steph, you had to pick some of my all-time favorite bands, didn't you? I had to pick U2 of course, but gaaaaah *seizure*
  7. Favorite songs are Comfortably Numb and Childhood's End. Favorite album is Obscured By Clouds.

Blues - Iggy Pop Little Red Corvette - Prince Silly Boy Blue - David Bowie Dark Blue - No Doubt Burn Black - Hole Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison Grey Matter - Jewel Counting Blue Cars - Dishwalla Black and White People - MB20 Black - Pearl Jam Random things pulled out of the back of my head. I never realized there were so many songs involving the colors blue and black before. How strange.
  9. Hmm. "Where The Streets Have No Name" of course..."Black" by Pearl Jam and "The End of the Innocence" by Don Henley. Yeah. That's my mini-list.
  10. I'm in Steph (shibbnani)'s band. We just haven't had a chance to really get together since we're all so damn busy/gone/whatever. And my poor ickle bass is broken. Bah. But Steph just got a spiffy new red Fender, so things are looking up.
  11. Well, I have severe Larry Mullen Jr. issues, but I also have soft spots for Phil Collins and Lars Ulrich.
  12. I hate being young and poor. I have to pressure my parents for concerts but Pink Coldplay Pearl Jam And John Mayer is coming up in 5 days. :D
  13. Oh, I love playing The Scientist. It's so pretty when I remember the B flats... :| Which, sadly, isn't every time.
  14. This is my favorite movie. Ever. It was just so fucking awesome. And William has my job, man! I've wanted to write for Rolling Stone since first grade...
  15. Corky Romano was terrible. Oh lord, I can't believe I spent 6 bucks on that piece of shit. ...and I like Harry Potter. :| But I'm nerdy, so ignore me.
  16. This was the dumbest movie, yet I still watch it every single time it comes on. Dumb or not, I enjoy it *way* too much

I loved Rent too, but my favorite musical is Miss Saigon. Somehow, that just changed me.
  18. A River Runs Through It "In my family, there was no clear division between religion and fly fishing." -Narrator Almost Famous "The only true currency in this bankrupt world...is what you share with someone else when you're uncool." - Lester Bangs Dogma "No, "Through the Looking Glass". That poem, "The Walrus and the Carpenter" that's an indictment of organized religion. The walrus, with his girth and his good nature, he obviously represents either Buddha, or...or with his tusk, the Hindu elephant god, Lord Ganesha. That takes care of your Eastern religions. Now the carpenter, which is an obvious reference to Jesus Christ, who was raised a carpenter's son, he represents the Western religions. Now in the poem, what do they do...what do they do? They...They dupe all these oysters into following them and then proceed to shuck and devour the helpless creatures en masse. I don't know what that says to you, but to me it says that following these faiths based on mythological figures ensure the destruction of one's inner-being. Organized religion destroys who we are by inhibiting our actions...by inhibiting our decisions, out of...out of fear of some...some intangible parent figure who...who shakes a finger at us from thousands of years ago and says...and says, "Do it--Do it and I'll fuckin' spank you!" - Loki
  19. I adore this movie. I really, really do. I thought it was wonderfully scripted and acted. It probably doesn't help that I have severe Ed Harris obsession issues, but whatever.
  20. My 2002 would have been Gangs of New York. I was livid when Chicago won. 2001 is High Fidelity. He's me as a man, I swear to god. I love that movie.
  21. I've had 8Mile sitting by the DVD player for 2 months now. Still haven't watched it. And watch In The Bedroom. It's goooood.
  22. Hmm. Life is Beautiful, The Pianist, Jerry Maguire. Those always make me cry. I know there are others, but I can't think of any right now.
  23. I have the video for Live at Red Rocks. My mom's raised me as a U2 nerd, so she got it when it first came out. She's also seen them twice (I think it was twice). She's seen Bono climb the scaffolding. The lucky wench. Of course, she was drunk, so I don't know exactly how much of it she *remembers*. Steph, why do I get the distinct feeling that you're now going to be using "bouncin" as often as you use "chunk" and your other words that you've given new meanings?
  24. Hey

*bites Amanda* Hmm. Tastes like bacon.
  25. I will never understand the pot smokers. The concert was still freakin' awesome though. Chris dances like, well, like a white man. And the Love Spell! The Love Spell! :D
