I thought about this, too, but then remembered I only come back to this album for one single song (Midnight) so that's not enough for me to rank the entire album higher lol I know X&Y fits better to the space but come one! It's pretty darn high in the list haha

Not since meeting of the band, but because I've listened to the new songs a crap load of times now and compare them to the stuff that's in the charts now. And I just use different words now lol. I still think this album sucks immensely in comparison to Coldplay's earlier work, but just because I really despise it doesn't mean it's bad music. It's just totally different from Coldplay's earlier style. But yeah, my inital post I think was "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS" or something alike ahah

I wouldn't call it falling from grace but more like change of style/genre. I get what you're trying to convey though. But I basically agree with everything ^ Jonny and the Cake said.

I love reading people's moments or little stories they connect with Coldplay's older songs, because I can almost always kind of relate to them in a weird personal way. And yes, that part where his voice goes high like that is freaking beautiful! I wish he could slower and softer songs like this again ;___;

Dude I know that feel. I looooove the vocals on this song omg But the song I get the most intense visuals and weird melancholy induced thoughts is "We Never Change". It feels like I'm standing in the middle of a forest with the autumn sun in my face and somewhere in the distance is a nice little wooden house with smoke coming out. But I'm not supposed to go there, because life's heaviness is nagging at my heels and I have to go back and leave this nice calm place. *sighs* aaaand I'm in that cloud again, DAMN YOU OLDPLAY

That's true, and also one of the reasons I don't mention my sex. I've had some very in depth conversations with people that thought I was a dude, until they found out I was a girl and they were actually mad at me and thought lesser of me as a person :| Batman because he's my childhood hero and because he's pretty darn awesome. And I also like his and his world's dark grim design a lot!
