  2. I saw the eposide and started to freak... i was thinking omg thats Coldplay playing .....
  3. hey Gilbert I agree with you to some extent but are you upset because the N word was used in a coldplay song or in general because rappers use it all the time and it never seems to be a problem...... It should not be about how people view us but about how we view ourselves and honestly using the word niggaz can mean we don't give a shit yeah we know that we're black and we damn proud of it All in all I love Jayz's collabaration on the song.... Its the bloody brilliant

  9. this article mentions nothing of Chris and Natalie but does mention Lily Glummest couple in showbiz? by NICOLE LAMPERT, Daily Mail Gwyneth and Chris: is this showbiz's glummest couple? The scene could almost be from The Stepford Wives. As the handsome man goes to open the door of his opulent house on his way to work, his girlfriend - blonde, beautiful and with a wonderful figure, of course - calls him back. 'Angel, you almost forgot your packed lunch,' she says, handing him a Tupperware container with a smile. 'Thanks, angel,' he mumbles sweetly before planting a loving kiss on her lips. 'Have a nice day at work,' she calls out as he jumps into a waiting black Mercedes. But this is not a scene from some Hollywood film about subservient women - the couple in question are a rather lanky British pop star and an Oscar-winning actress. Meet Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow, sometimes known as the most miserable couple in showbiz. Get two celebrities together, the showbiz maxim goes, and their fame should be magnified tenfold. But this is a couple with no wish to emulate the tawdry hype of the Beckhams. They simply cannot understand why the public is interested in them. And they certainly do not care that they are supposed to be enjoying their fame. In fact, they feel so haunted by being in the spotlight that peace-loving Chris, 26, has even taken to getting into fights with photographers on a regular basis. He has also admitted that he has nightmares about being stalked. The couple have now become so miserable that, in two months' time, they say they are both going to take a year off from work. They are quitting while they are both at the top of their glamorous professions because, despite all the trappings, they believe they cannot be happy if things stay as they are. Their hope is to find solace in each other and trying to be 'normal'. Gwyneth, of course, has every reason to be on an emotional down because she is still getting over the sudden death from throat cancer of her beloved father Bruce a year ago at the age of 58. He was also her mentor and she has struggled painfully to continue without him. She said recently: 'People say: "He'll always be with you." No, he won't. He's dead and I'm suffering. Before, I was at a place in my life where I thought I'd figured it out. Then it was like someone kicked me in the stomach.' She has been feeling so low recently that she has started seeing a therapist and taken to doing yoga for at least an hour a day. She has also sought comfort in shopping sprees - although even after spending £10,000 in an hour one day last week she could still barely raise a smile. Depression Always prone to depression - she admits she was miserable for two years after her Oscar win - Gwyneth has talked about a 'black cloud' that she can't rid herself of. 'She is lethargic and low,' said one friend. 'She has been losing weight and the only thing that makes her happy is Chris.' Other friends say that the manner of her father's death has also completely changed her outlook on life - even down to the type of food she eats. 'She was pretty hot on having a healthy diet before, but now she has become obsessed,' said one. 'She knows that cancer can be genetic, so she is obsessed with only eating macrobiotic food which means no dining out, no rice, meat, dairy, or salt. She has two chefs - one for savoury food and one for sweet - and she doesn't let Chris out of the house without a macrobiotic packed lunch.' She has also, for the first time, decided to put her personal life over her professional one. Chris, too, is finding that fame and success is making him miserable. An obsessive worrier - he frets about everything; from losing his hair to the bad trade situation in Africa - he has become convinced that the public is going to turn on him and his band because of their success. Worried 'We've got to get out of people's faces,' he said recently. 'I get worried about people starting to hate us. In Britain, there's this "build them up and knock them down attitude". It's my home, but I get really stressed every time I come back.' Of course, Coldplay's other three members - Guy Berryman, Jon Buckland and Will Champion - have to go along with those plans. Chris is not just their lead singer, he is the primary songwriter and undisputed leader. Officially, the band are taking time off to 'recharge their batteries' so they can come back revitalised with an album as good as those they have already produced. There are those, however, who wonder whether the band are taking a break because Gwyneth wants Chris to do so. She has loyally followed him around the world over the past six months, but has not enjoyed life on the road. Marriage The situation can only get worse. Friends say that Chris is determined to wed Gwyneth next year - despite recently proclaiming: 'We're not getting married in the near future.' There are many, of course, who thought the romance would not last. She is the ultimate Hollywood princess, bought up in Beverly Hills where her mother, Blythe Danner, was a successful actress and her father a director. Previous boyfriends included film heartthrobs Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck. Chris, meanwhile, may be public school- educated and distinctly middle class, but he is a self-confessed geek. Until the age of 15, he was not sure whether he was gay, he did not lose his virginity until he was 22, and his only serious relationship was with radio executive Lily Sobhani. Soulmates However, friends say they believe he and Gwyneth are soulmates. She, particularly, has been struck by how similar Chris is to her father and brother, Jake. 'He is like her dad and Jake in both temperament and personality,' said her friend. 'He even looks a bit like them. 'From the start, she has felt being with him has been like "coming home" and she has no doubt that they will spend the rest of their lives together. 'They also share interests, they are intellectual, shy and quite Leftwing politically. Even before he met her, he never smoked, drank or took drugs and he almost can't believe he has met someone as clean living as he is.' Friends describe how they are 'ridiculously sweet together'. 'They always call each other "Angel" and are very affectionate together,' said one. 'Although she has this reputation as being a bit of a cold fish, she is very girlie and giggly when she is with him. She also describes him as "my rock". 'She has told him she will move to England to be with him and she has even tried to convince her mother to move here, too, so they can see more of each other.' Over the next year, the couple will make a concerted attempt to move out of the limelight. They plan to eschew celebrity parties and travel on the Tube. And, say the friends, Chris and Gwyneth truly believe that doing this will make them happy again. 'They want some normality in their lives. The only new role Gwyneth is going for is Chris's wife. And it is obvious that it is the one role she wants most in the world.'

Replying and then saying sorry after dosen't make the thread get shorter and disappear... Makes us look silly and defensive... anyways GOOD LUCK ! to you all.

  21. This should have the words impossible question in brackets for me its FIX YOU (acoustic) and Swallowed in the sea tied at number 1 then Scientist and Viva La Vida are tied at number 2 number 3 every other coldplay song written
  22. i was thinking it was silence as well
  23. I do agree lost + is a really good song I love it
  24. lets say it is about Micheal Jackson cant you see what succes has turned him into and the media has made a mess of the guy. so for michael sucess was more than suicide and i think that he would also fit into the context of the song. lets not get into an argument about other things about Michael or what he has done to himself... but rather focus on the points related to the song and yes when you succeed like he has then you gotta perpare to be crucified
