  4. :\ i should've done some better research before i posted that but off the top of my head i can remember a great easter weekend festival we had here in sydney called Great Escape then of course you have the V Festival. but at the same time you have festivals like bdo and good vibes having to basically throw away tickets. the most successful festivals seem to be the ones that are aimed a niche market. like Laneway is almost purely indie, Soundwave is all heavy, Stereosonic is all techno and so on. critical question. will splendour become bigger than BDO one day soon?
  5. not really sure how to answer this question so i'll leave it along. but as long as its better than pablo honey (my least fave) i will be happy. something near the standard of amnesiac (my no.5) would be even better.
  6. believe it or not yes they are haha. 3rd time in aus for wolfgang.
  7. could the album maybe be 59mins in length? EDIT : after spending most of my friday reading as much about the album and its promotion as i can. i think tonights event will just be a 1min promotional piece which could just be 10sec snippets from songs or the band talking about it. at the same time i hope im wrong and they webcast a full performance.
  8. ehhh if they're not playing new stuff then i'm kinda glad i didn't pay so much to see them again.
  9. i think the over saturation of music fests in australia is finally taking its toll. it seems to have reached capacity this summer. so expect to see plenty disappear over the next few years and remaining to become even bigger.
  10. yeah i was surprised no one knew the story behind it before. so i decided to post it anyways.
  11. what time is it released exactly? i can't find it anywhere.
  12. so will The Kings of Limbs be eligible to be on album charts? i remember IR didn't top the charts until it was released physically on Jan 1 08.

  17. well if you're calling live aid a festival then so is live8 which they performed at in 2005. but aside from those two i can't think of when they last played a festival.
  18. i will also try and post any info i can on webcasts and the like on here. cos if you can't be at a festival, watching it live from your bedroom is the next best thing :D

  20. i really love radiohead but i really need to save my money this year. so i think i will get the digital mp3 then buy the CD physically as soon as it comes out on march 28th. you can use paypal to buy the album right?
  21. i love it how radiohead are able to whip the music world into a frenzy with no promotions whatsoever. then again who needs a marketing team when you have a fanbase like radioheads.
  22. bonnaroo uploaded .incredible line up including buffalo springfield with neil young, stephen stills, richie furay.
