I know what you mean. I recorded all the pre-release radio interviews on my Sky+ so that I could listen to the album first (geeky, I know!) Spent today catching up, and I barely heard Jonny speak. Had to laugh during the Q interview though. The girl asked what their fave Coldplay track was. Guy answered "Crest of Waves" and talked about how he lobbied hard to get it on X & Y... Jonny just said "Stop banging on about it" Get the feeling Berryman never really got over that decision!!!

Damn: my bloody internet connection is being useless and it won't let me watch it right now - will check it out tomorrow. And what a bonus - I see from the description that Guy is in the clip... and he is number one on my "Totally hot celebrities" list. I feel no shame admitting to that crush!!!

I love Hot Fuzz. And there's something about Simon Pegg... whenever I see his face I immediately want to laugh. He has a really funny looking face, but I also find him really sexy!??

I posted a couple of days ago after my first listen and said I loved it - I stand by that. I think it's a really bold album. I totally get what Chris has been saying about showing "the different colours" of Coldplay. I think the journo's who criticise the lyrics haven't listened properly (sure some of them are very simple, but on a song as musically challenging as "42" why do you need complex lyrics - and I think the lyrics of VLV, VH and COL are just fab). I think they sound more like a band than ever - no one player dominates the album but each contributes an enormous amount. And I agree with an earlier poster who said that despite the changing styles, it all hangs together perfectly. It's a brilliant running order and I don't think there's a "filler" among them. Yes, I have Viva Fever!!!

I've never seen Shaun of the Dead - I know this sounds really daft, but I'm dead squimish, so I've always thought I wouldn't be able to handle it... what a baby!

To quote the band, "Don't panic" This story appeared in the UK press a few days ago (Tuesday I think) On Thursdays Jo Wiley show Chris said it was rubbish and that the show was pushed back due to technical issues. They did a practise performance on Friday in front of invited guests and apparently it went very well!

You have to be realistic - there's only so much a band can do on a tv show. If they wanted live string musicians on Jonathan Ross they'd have had to have them sitting on their laps!!! I don't think they'll have them on the tour either - they've always been very keen on it just being the four of them on stage. To be honest, it really doesn't bother me. As for the vocal track, again I think it's for tv. On television, every little lfaw gets picked up, and while they're still ironing out the kinks, they probably just eanted a bit of help. On Jo Wiley, Chris said that one of last wednesdays rehearsals for the live shows coming up this week was rubbish, and one was really good. They've still got some work to do, but you know they'll have it fixed for the tour.

I'm not skipping through any. I'm not wild about Reign of Love but it makes a nice change of pace halfway through the album. And I love The Escapist... it ties the album up neatly. Wouldn't like to make a definitive statement so early on... but this may turn out to be my favourite Coldplay album yet
