That's the first thing I thought of when I read this story! My Dad loves ripping in to the bands I love and bless Chris, he gives him lots of material! For what it's worth, Sky+ (Uk version of TiVo) still lists Coldplay as performers on Jonathan Ross tomorrow. I've also been keeping an eye on http://www.digitalspy.com it's a website that a lot of people who go to TV recordings use. They tend to post spoilers on there... no mention of a Coldplay no-show yet. Fingers-crossed!!!

I agree, I think Guy would have kept things going, but would have defended Chris a bit more. Will is such a gent! I hope someone has calmed Chris down and right now they are rocking the audience at Jonathan Ross - if they pull out of that too it will be a MAJOR story. That was just... weird. There's no other word for it... just... weird. I think Radio 4 may have done a little creative editing - we know Chris can be a bit sensitive about certain subjects... I think maybe there is more that we just didn't hear. However, I have to say, well done, Will. I'm loving that man more with every interview I read & hear. He's just strikes me as a really considerate, intelligent man. Such a shame that this had to happen on release day - I was full up on Viva Fever, now I feel a bit flat...

Just had my first listen and I think it's beautiful. A couple of times I had tears welling up in my eyes. Our boys are back!

I'll say the same thing to you as I did to someone else last night - would you rather see them soon in a half-arsed show, or wait a little longer and see them at their best. I'm sure the magic balls will be worth it!

Can't remember their name, but one of the regular posters on here has a really cool signature that's a Chris Martin quote about people who like Coldplay. Something like "intelligent, good-looking, thoughtful, great in bed etc". I'm happy to be labelled all of those things! But actually I think people who like Coldplay are those who are prepared to think a little deeper, scratch below the surface. People who tread their own path rather than blindly follow others
