Follow The Light is one of my favourites too. I also love Dear Diary and Re-offender. They've not made a bad album, looking forward to Ode To J Smith :dance:

Chaos and Creation in the Backyard was a great album. I enjoyed that one :D he's had some great songs after The Beatles aswell. An overall great musician. :D

AROBTTH it shows their abilty to write really powerful songs mixed with their experimental side. It has a nice split of piano and guitar songs. AROBTTH was the perfect follow up to Parachutes. My personal favourite album is Parachutes so it took alot to top Parachutes in my opinion and they did a good job.

i think he'd fell into bad habits, soon after he seeked vocal lessons. he's mentioned this i'm sure in interviews and stuff it's well know he had trouble with his voice and had to have lessons. his voice has been amazing live up until these last few shows. it might be nerves

on the parachutes tour he damaged his voice and had they had to cancel loads of dates. he was told he couldn't speak for ages to save his voice.

i think there's something up with his voice. i think it could just be nerves. it doesn't help when he's jumping up and down like a loon tho! :laugh3: i think he's concentrating too much on being the front man, he should chill out and just sing. Bet you he's shit hot on the tour tho, I wouldn't worry :D

I would recommend: R.E.M. - Accelerate (Amazing album, rocky and to the point! Best album they've made since Up) Radiohead - In Rainbows (technically it came out in 2007, but only a day before 2008) and obviously Coldplay - Viva La Vida :dance:

the first album was good but then after that they had a rapid decline to complete and utter shite

Has anyone else who ordered the new J. Smith 10 inch vinyl got their copy this morning? I woke up to the joy of finding the postman had dropped it off a whole 2 days before I was supposed to get it :dance: I was so excited and I nearly passed out when I opened the package to see that my copy had been signed by the band :dance: I don't know if they're signing all of them, has anyone else received their copy this morning?

I agree, although I do really like Viva La Vida, it's not their best album. X&Y was a great album man! I don't understand why it gets so much stick!

what is everyone's problem with X&Y? It's a great record. Some great songs on it! Eno is so over rated, what a big headed c**t. I've never liked Eno and this had just underlined why! What a dick!

it was a single but it wasn't released in the UK due to chart rules or something. I can't remember I seem to remember they weren't allowed to release it in the UK for some reason.

take it back and demand either a refund or a replacement! it's new vinyl for godsake it shouldn't be skipping or jumping! I bought The Bends on vinyl brand new from HMV it was £14.99, got it home and it jumped on two tracks! So i took it back and got a replacement! The customer is always right :D

the radio edit and the album version are exactly the same. only difference is on the album viva la vida fades out while violet hill fades in. why would you want to buy this :laugh3: we want b-sides! :dance:

I got turned onto Coldplay after hearing Shiver. my mate told me to check out the 'Shiver' single telling me that they were gonna be the next big band of 2000. I went out and bought it and fell in love with that song (and the b-sides). Shortly after I bought Parachutes and fell in love with that aswell. I've been hooked ever since, nearly 8 years later! :D

one of my favourite b-sides! I love the radio talking in the background and the general feel of the song. I loved it from the moment I heard it :D

Hey guys, I went to see The Police at the Manchester M.E.N. Arena on Wednesday! They were absolutely fantastic! :dance: :dance: :dance: Did anyone else manage to go and see them at Manchester? i had trouble ripping the album to my windows media player. it took three attempts! it ripped the album but windows media player was listing the album as 'unknown artist' and all the tracks weren't named. when i went to change the names the album would disappear off my computer. third attempt it worked i still had to name all the tracks tho. :laugh3:

one of those stick the cd in your computer to access exclusive new music things. that could be fun. i think they'll release a b-sides album next year or a new album with the left overs from Viva La Vida. They did say that the songs would be released in some form next year
