  1. Even though the album has an structure and has its own style. I HIGHLY doubt that any song will get the exposure that Viva La Vida. When you're talking Coldplay here where I live, it is hardly mentioned and the fact that they haven't played live here, Viva La Vida was on repeat like every 2 or 3 days, and correct me if im wrong, but that song kept rolling #1 on iTunes. If Coldplay might've thrown 'Hurts like Heaven' after 'Every Teardrop', that would've been a total win and a probably 'Viva la Vida'-y style hit.

I am ear training, so pardon me for anything wrong. I do all by progressions (don't know if that's how you call it in english) All I hear is a single repetitive line that goes: I (G) - V (D) - I (G) Being that it is in G major.

That fits the line quite well, and makes more sense. I think that line: "Even though that my armor might rust in the rain" (or whatever he truly says) has everybody's attention is by the way Chris carries on that line. The second part of the song truly surprises me by how the lyrics matches so well with Chris attitude, it truly gives you that sense of being so effing sure of yourself no matter what. Truly, AHT and DLIBYH does the epic ending while Up With the Birds is just that thing you didn't expect, a sweet 'aftermath'.
  4. DLIBYH sounds a little overwhelming, almost covering Chris's voice. As well as other songs. Sometimes I believe that some of the songs are just good edited live versions.
  5. The best thing of the whole album is that Coldplay created a record where you can be taken from a beginning to an end. Up with the Birds keeps up to that fact. DLIBYH does the 'epic ending' track, an 'all out performance'. And then, out of nowhere, this nostalgic thing comes out.
  6. The best thing of the album is that it is structured with a beginning, a middle and an end, which gives you the perfect flow over the tracks. Personally, my list of favorites: Up with the Birds Don't let it Break your Heart Hurts like Heaven Up in Flames Charlie Brown The best songs? The whole album :)

  9. Er, I think this might be a bit late, but can someone PM me these, I just looked at random titles on Wikipedia and was like OMG...
  10. OMG I am right now mixing Viva La Vida with Joe's If I could Fly guitar solo, and man, it sounds epic, if Coldplay can't find a way to avoid this, they can do like a Remix or something.

Awww, I feel you Onur, thats sad, I strongly hope that you find that person. I actually play Bass in a band I currently mounted up with 2 of my friends, one is a bit difficult to understand, the other one, which is kinda like the creative one, makes the riffs and melodies pretty awesome, he doesn't understand nothing about what notes he is playing, but since I have more experience in music (not the instrument), I write the sheet with the notes and everything. Everything's going fine till now.
  12. Puerto Rico pleaseeee, we need rock
  13. That doesn't make much sense, make from an EP, another EP, with songs that we already have? Is pretty much like the Lost EP, the only song you get in there is the live version.
  14. mucho reggaeton en PR, we need ROCK from Coldplay.
  15. In mah ipod.
  16. omg, i almost had it. I think I'll wait till the 24th for some dude to steal my EP, then I will declare a curse over it.
  17. Anyone from Puerto Rico here? I know there is another thread, I just wanted to make a new one.
  18. And 42 seconds more till a leak appears
  19. At first, it doesn't sound like that kind of song you'll hear from Coldplay, but when the cellos come, it's just priceless.
  20. The most impressive things are: The drums are somehow silence a bit. The whole band is singing (epic). The last part, the synth with the guitar, amazingness.
  21. Life In Tech 2 was a little weird but extremely awesome, I love Prospekt's March, but Glass Of Water was just shocking. :o
  22. AHHHH! THANKS MAN, you are just amazing, I started playing bass for the first time today.
  23. I gotta say, on some parts looks like uhhhh, but this guy did a awesome job mixing the VLV commercial with the Violet Hill Music Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FQVG-KYFyQ
  24. What I expect is Martin walking through some part on France (beautiful landscapes) or Paris, singing the song, and sing the part "That was when I ruled the world" on a top of a rock at the sea shore.
  25. X & Y was more like a very very soft album, and I must say, the album fits to the year it was released, I mean, 2005 was like a very soft and good year for me.
