  1. I'm still holding out hope, despite what the Oracle said, that the band will surprise us with Postcards and give us a full 3 min+ version with lyrics :) Lost+ has its place, I guess, it is sufficiently different enough and also saves me buying the Lost! EP for it. LiJ Osaka Sun Mix is indeed a completely wasted track, they really seem to be hyping the LiJ single as much as they possibly can here. It's a superior version of LiJ, but doesn't deserve its own (sub)title imo. But either way, as others said, studio versions of the first six songs will be absolutely amazing to have. I've been waiting for so long!! I do wonder whether NMFWTTG is like an early SS demo that branched off into its own song (or vice versa).
  2. lol, I thought exactly that when I looked at that image today. Think it's just poorly compressed. It's clearly "OLD" in this image here: Plus the "Famous 'New' Painters" thing on that secret Coldplay site thing, and so on...
  3. I think that's rubbish. A bunch of cheese. Yeah, I don't think the people who made that video really understand the song very well at all. It's a total mismatch, lyrically, conceptually and stylistically. But I say it's one of the better efforts so far!

    Thanks Ether! ;)
  5. Studio recordings of Moses, Ladder to the Sun etc. would fit nicely on a 'Best Of'!
  6. But it says "tracks", not "songs"...there's a difference. Prospekt's March/Poppy Fields counts as one track. For now, I'll just count LiT along with Lost+ and LiJ as an alternate version and not a "new" track/song in itself...
  7. LOL thanks Cobalt :P I'm not very good at this predicting thingy!!

Looks like everybody was right all along about the tracklisting :o I do apologize!! lol I think "Lost?" has been released more times by Coldplay now than the actual A-side "Lost!":stunned:...

News, news and more news! This is all so exciting! There's a handful of tracks that still didn't make it to Prospekt's March EP, so now some of the following could well turn up on the Lost! EP: Famous Old Painters Leftrightleftrightleft The Goldrush The Dubliners Lukas Interesting how Lost+ (which I assume is the Jay-Z version) isn't on the Lost! EP but on Prospekt's March...I wonder if plans have changed as far as releasing two EP's is concerned. Or perhaps it'll simply allow Lost! to function as a single for both VLVODAAHF and Prospekt's March...
  10. lol @ Famous Old Painters getting the most votes in the poll yet not making it onto the EP :P Coldplay really have spoiled us this time around though! Roll on November!
  11. WOOOOOOOOOOW this is even BETTER :D:D:D but of course, it has to be said... ...STILL no Famous Old Painters :\:P but that doesn't take away at all from how awesome this is gonna be!
  12. I think the Rainy Day = DAAHF rumour is nonsense, check out the VLV alternate tracklisting on the Tour Programme: Both Rainy Day and DAAHF are together in the same tracklist... :) (also looks like we'll be able to recreate this tracklist, more or less, once we get out hands on Prospekt's March EP!)
  13. Outrune replied to magodeoz's topic in Lost!
Well now that we have the Prospekt's March track listing, I'm guessing that the Lost! EP will look like this: * Lost! * Lost! (ft. Jay-Z) * Famous Old Painters * Poppy Fields
  14. Also no "Leftrightleftrightleft". I'm now starting to consider the theories that it turned into "Prospekt's March"! So damn pleased it was pushed forward a month :D:D:D
  15. YES! Thank you Chris! :D What a great guy! I'm so glad he didn't leave us on tenterhooks for too long! Funnily enough, I'm actually not at all surprised that Famous Old Painters got nixed! It seemed to completely disappear after Prospekt's journal entry about it. Doesn't have its own painting, doesn't appear on that big painting in the middle of the album booklet, zilch about it appearing live (unlike postcards, GoW), no downloadble wallpapers for it (from that old "widgets" section) etc. etc. It could yet still appear on the Lost! EP...
  16. Yes! It leads to the "Lost!" video... http://www.coldplay.com/lostvideo.php :P

Rampant speculation So far, I count nine tracks that have not been released: Famous Old Painters Glass of Water Rainy Day Prospekt's March Poppy Fields Leftrightleftrightleft Postcards from Far Away The Goldrush The Dubliners Lhuna Lukas Three of those could be on Lost!, at least four will be on Prospekt's March. I think the first six in the list above will likely make it. Postcards, Goldrush and Dubliners are all special, short live tracks like DWNC, Lhuna might be on next year's album instead and Lukas seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. I'll be severely disappointed if the Lost! tracklist is Lost!, Lost?, Lost- and Lost+, but come on! The promo CD is just that, a promo for the song. Doesn't mean all those versions will be on the EP. What's the point in announcing an EP if that's the case?
  18. ...don't forget "Lost- (Instrumental)" from the promo CD :stunned: lol! sadly I wouldn't be so surprised if that was the EP's track list right there! I'm expecting "Glass of Water" (due to Lost! stealing its painting for the Lost! single cover and also Jenjie's speculation) and maybe "Lovers in Japan (Acoustic)", which seems to be floating around in limbo atm.
  19. HA! I don't think so! It looks more like "Though we measured the days..." on the Glass of Water painting ;):D (second line from the right, have to read sideways) I say hoax!
  20. Yeah I noticed that, that's an odd choice for a cover! Myself I just hope it's a hint as to what the b-side will be ;)
  21. Famous Old Painters Glass of Water Prospekt's March Poppy Fields Postcards from Far Away Leftrightleftrightleft
  22. I guess The Goldrush and The Dubliners fit the bill here :) Lost! promos are now popping up all over ebay suddenly, I expect a track list for the real thing soon!
  23. Also "Leftrightleftrightleft" and "The Dubliners"! ;) I suppose ASARY technically fits on the list too, being written alongside the others. I really do wonder whether "Now My Feet Won't Touch the Ground" is really Strawberry Swing or not. Perhaps it was its own song at first but later became a part of SS, like Rainy Day and DAAHF apparently did (is it true or not? seems to be a rumour :o)
  24. ...or even LiJ acoustic! I mean, there's practically zero incentive to spend money on this physical single release when: a) Viva la Vida became available to download almost 3 months ago b) The b-side can be officially downloaded for free c) VLV topped the charts ages ago without it and is now old news :\ Don't understand what's really going on with Coldplay and their single releases this time round. Also, two singles but only one b-side track so far (ASARY), compared to about 2 or 3 per single previously! :stunned: But looking at wikipedia, I am reassured to note that there is always 3-4 months in between each single for their previous albums (compared to a couple of weeks in between VH and VLV!!). So hopefully they get it right with the next one soon :D
  25. Thanks for this! ;)
