Is it bad that I purchased the parades album months ago and haven't listened to it yet? Maybe I should... Hmm....

I absolutely loved them! Their new stuff sounded great too. I'm a big fan so I might be biased but I am pretty sure I was sober enough to say they were quality at Laneway Melbourne! Just bought tix to the Drums and Hungry kids of Hungary for end of April. Going to the Holidays again next Sat, tempted to buy Darwin Deez tix too. If Arctic Monkeys are playing at splendour, watch out Grace, we are going.

Arctic Monkeys!
2 new b-sides with the new single too. God I love these guys.

I can't help but get sad goosebumps every time I hear this song. Especially the instrumental sections. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZqZ-Xf1mkg]YouTube - The Kooks - One last time[/ame]- Official Aussie Music Fan Thread
Put them down for every festival next summer, surely.- Official Aussie Music Fan Thread
I think the fact that BDO this year was more alternative than usual would have increased demand for future tickets. It definitely did in my case, anyway. Saw Sparkadia on Friday night. I think you're right Jamie, this is one of the albums of the year, it's so delicate but grandiose. And it was played pretty well live. Operator please supported, and they were terrible. Really enjoyed Alex Burnett and band's performance, the old songs plus some new favourites were played so that made for a quality setlist. Ended up meeting him afterwards, got a photo plus my friends and I were invited to the Ivy League after party with Midnight Juggernauts, Operator Please, Cloud Control. I was too drunk to be star struck... Quality night though.- THE VACCINES
I have listened to this album so much. In one word = efficient. I love it.- THE VACCINES
I'll have to check it out.- sxsw bands 2011
Great thread idea. I'd love for people to link some reviews from SXSW 2011, so we can get a rough idea of the new talent picked up amongst those amazing other shows (the strokes, Kanye, etc)- THE VACCINES
Same. I thought exactly the same thing as you when I first heard it - great singles, not a fantastic album. But having listened to it about 100 times now I love it. It kind of reminds me of the White Lies debut it a way. A top effort.- Your least favourite 5 bands at the moment... in no order are...
Believe me, there's enough cynicism, I just don't make threads about it!- The Strokes
