Disappointment: Up In Flames (sad to say :(), Chris' vocals on HLH Surprise: Princess of China, DLIBYH (where did THAT song come from?!), UFO, the ending of Charlie Brown overall, loved at first listen!!!!!!!! can't believe it's here :wacky:

I can't help it, I love it :uhoh: it's not even me being a brainless fangirl, it just seems that everything Christopher Martin comes up with appeals to me. argh :angry: I love the "I could have been a princess" part, I don't even mind Rihanna on it, especially cause her voice sounds good with Chris'. It has a killer beat and tune. Chris clearly learned well from his friends, it's quite a song... :wideeyed:

yup, the chorus is killer, that's my favorite part of the song :lol: each time I listen to the song and hear the chorus, I love the whole song a little more :P

OKAY. let's take a survey. Who here does not have VIP and is planning to camp out? I am camping out if I can make 100% sure that there will be other Coldplayers there, damn the consequences!

eh, it's not about the fact that I want a good spot, it's the fact that everyone I know is now either VIP or not going, so I have no one to go with :\ I can't go alone, so... hoping for a miracle so I can still go!

Watched the whole thing, so good! I burst out hysterically laughing when Chris fell on his ass :lol: And the whole encore UATW moment was so so fantastic, I got teary watching Chris play unplugged and laugh his way through it, and when the other boys joined in... :heart: :wacky: I hope to god someone recorded it! I love this damn band so much :P

What a fabulous interview. Everything he said was fantastic- that they're done worrying about where they fit in, they don't care if people hate it, they just want to make the music they like. And the fact that they've decided that they shouldn't be afraid to show what they're listening to, etc, I think explains a lot of their "new direction". He seems a bit more mellow about criticism- I hope he manages to hold onto that! Also, the fact that he described the album as "colorful" was like... a bulls-eye for me. My favorite thing about Coldplay is how colorful each of their songs is, and the fact that he chose that word to describe MX is... :wacky: PS- he got a new shirt :o haha

yeah, I never really listened to PoC cause there were no good videos... For this one, I just really wish we could hear Jonny more :shrug: Also I think it'd be nice to get a better idea of the strings... but, guess we just have to be patient for the studio version!

I like it, so shoot me :P I love the piano and Jonny's guitar solo. and it's got quite the riff... like I said on twitter, I actually think it's a pretty expected progression from where they were at the end of Prospekt's (ie Rainy Day, etc). Their singles are always going to be more poppy, and we know quiet songs like UATW and Up in Flames exist on MX too, so... :shrug: edit: but I do agree with you Lore, that Charlie Brown should have been released instead. although according to the Billboard article this was a very deliberate decision.

Maybe it'll be a transition into a quieter second half of the record, like Daylight on AROBTTH (not counting A Whisper)? :shrug: PS- I hate MTM, so I'm glad it's not on there :P It's actually one of only 3 Coldplay songs that I don't like.
