Well everyone IS expecting instrumentals this time around , due to the high number of tracks, so that´s why I said we would be shocked if there were not :) BTW, Prospekt´s March also had an instrumental :) I personally don´t mind them, but I would not want more than one

It´s disheartening to see the word objectively being thrown around...when it comes to music, I really can not see how anything can be objective and can be proven scientifically. Again I know this might hurt some people, but your opinion is really only just that...your opinion. Argh again comparison with the Beatles! hehe No other band was in their position to revolutionize music history, so any direct comparison would be very unfair I think. I have seen Coldplay being described as the biggest band in the world in nearly every article I read. Apparently it´s something a lot of people think. Maybe it has something to do with their sales...if you sell more than any other band, then you are automatically the world´s biggest band. I do not have numbers to prove this, but it is my guess as to why they got that title. I really don´t care either way as I don´t need them to be the world´s biggest band in order for me to like them...(although great success gives great artistic freedom so for that I am grateful on their behalf) I agree with constructive criticism, which I interpret as a criticism directed to the song , without pretending to know best and without dissing other people for thinking differently.

Speaking as a songwriter myself, I would never diss music because it is not popular or it has not been discovered. I am sure there are a lot of wonderful pieces of music out there written by "unknowns". Celebrity does not mean it´s better or greater music. I would suggest that if Bloodie thinks his song is better than Paradise, he should get it released promptly. And I am sure a lot of people in the forum would be interested in listening...put your money where your mouth is I say :) Then again we might not be a helpful audience as according to you we are deaf ;) I am glad Coldplay got discovered and are working hard to give us this great album! I can´t wait for Monday!

You got a point there! I guess most of us associate that fresh heard-it-first feeling with the day of release...ah so many fond memories! But you are absolutely right: if a song is great, it will always be great, regardless :)
