I was a fence sitter and I do not regret I listened to the clip. (Although I would not listen to it over and over again :). It really really really made me look forward to monday, even more than before and it will brighten up your day :) I would recommend it.

I could not resist clicking and I was blown away by those strings. How can anyone not like that blast of divine music? Boy are we in for a treat monday morning! I can´t wait !

I am pretty sure they knew what songs to include. The big question was in what order, whether that was going to be a happy or sad ending. I am happy the guys put so much thought in the track list and its order. I really appreciate it when I listen, as then I am more inclined to listen to the whole album in one go from start to finish

I would have been totally fine with the release of the EP, after an early preview of ETIAW. They should have released the EP only with identical songs in both digital and CD version. That would have been totally fine. Everything else was just to cash in on the 10% they knew would jump and buy every release as none of us knew if the songs were going to be on the album or not.

^Maybe part of a giant color master plan, culminating in the multicolored MX :)

Ok I know this might sound a bit far out, but here are my thoughts. I think Mylo Xyloto might be an alien, for various reasons. 1- Aliens, U.F.O., stand to play a big part in the story of MX. I think they are going to be the good guys (light blinking to to tell me it´s alright) and will maybe help the two main protagonists in the end (hopeful transmissions). They might possibly end up flying away with the aliens in the end (up with the birds). 2- It would also tie in with Moving To Mars. Maybe it was not a metaphor at all. Maybe it is about the protagonists moving away from planet earth, after everything has gone up in flames 3- It would explain the weird name Xyloto, which would be a good extraterrestrial name :) What are your thoughts? Both about MX being an alien and about the influence of U.F.O. in the new album?

Yeah but then it´s a double offense towards loyal fans...first they stick us the ETIAW single, then as digital bundle with MTM and then EP cd bundle with major minus. There was no reason for all those editions in my opinion...It still smells of :evil: corporate EMI...

I can not help but think M.M.I.X. has something to do with Mylo Xyloto. It can´t be coincidence that the letters M and X are in both names.

Ok this might be nuts, but what if Mylo Xyloto is the alien who comes down and helps the two people in love? There is a great deal about U.F.O in the track list and maybe that would explain the funny name...Mylo Xyloto does not make sense because it´s an alien name :)

I do not think there will be an EP release. I think everything has been put on Mylo and its b-sides, which is fine by me!

Wow people!! I have just been reading all your posts holding my breath!! It sounds like nearly all of you LOVED the preview! I am so psyched right now I almost cried! I can´t decide whether I should just give in and listen to the darn preview or wait til Monday morning! Anyone else fence-sitting??

I think it´s all part of the new promotion plan as detailed on the Billboard article, but can anyone see what advantages this approach might have? Maybe entice new fans who come to the show to buy the album after hearing so many new tracks live? But then again, does a band as big as Coldplay need something like that? I just can´t seem to see why they are doing this.

The release of the ETIAW/Major Minus EP does not seem so weird anymore to me as I see it as a way for the band to introduce MX: the good and bad guys. So it turned out to be an elegant introduction EP. However what bothers me to no end is the different useless releases: first Every Tear song only digital (and boy did they know everyone would buy that immediately), then after a suitable length of time, Every Tear was re-released coupled with Major Minus on CD and, if that was not enough, also as a digital bundle with MTM as a bonus track. The release plan smells of EMI greediness for sure...and I fear it will continue with Paradise. That said, now we know how they operate so as they say: fool me once.... Apologize double post. Not sure why.
