  1. Interesting how some people perceive money as a private thing. I really don´t think it´s more personal that someone´s feelings or opinions. So if anyone is interested in how they share their earnings, do ask the Oracle. After all the band already disclosed this information publicly in the past and that is why this thread was created after all as the new info does not match what they previously said. Anyway, I would be curious to hear what the Oracle says, should she wish to comment on this.
  2. I support your and everyone´s right to discuss this. As I previously wrote, a lot of private matters get discussed in this forum anyway, so why making all the fuss about some dough? :)
  3. I just cried. What a lovely song! I am so irritated MX is not out in September! or NOW! Argh!!! I want an early listen now!
  4. Well it's factually correct. We pay them :) nothing wrong with that. I'm happy I support Coldplay. I just don't see the problem in talking about how they split the money. I can see why people are confused about conflicting info.
  5. Yes but why the difference then?
  6. I don´t see what is wrong discussing the finances of Coldplay. I mean there are threads about everything, from Gwyneth to the secret location of the beehive...I think we can all "handle" talking about how they split the money WE pay to them, don´t you think ? I also thought they split their money equally. Not sure why Chris gets more, unless he is indeed the main songwriter, both lyrically and musically. I think it´s weird though...
  7. *Never mind: I can see it has already been linked in the other thread similar to this* I think I found it....Click on the play button of the audio file on this page, NOT the video file (that seems to just be a cover of CB) http://vivacoldplay.com/2011/08/trecho-instrumental-de-charlie-brown-em-programa-de-tv/
  8. Blimey! I swear that was not there before, but I might be wrong and might have simply overlooked it. I even wrote to customer support and they did not tell me the items shipped from the UK. I hardly think they added that after hearing my complaint, so I must have simply overlooked it. Thanks a LOT for pointing this out! I can order again: *happy cold player once more* :D
  9. Now it would be so nice if for all deluxe edition pre-orders, they offered an immediate high quality download on release date...other artists do it, so why not Coldplay? In that way we can listen to the songs a few times before the pack drops in the mailbox :)
  10. I´ll happily wait for the pre-order to the deluxe edition as well! What else is a Coldplayer to do? :)
  11. Have you shopped there before? They seem to promise 1-2 day shipping so it should be fast to the USA anyway. Most orders ship within 1-2 business days after the order is received. Items on back order will be shipped as soon as the item is in stock. Rest assured, we will let you know when an item is on back order.
  12. In case EMI browses these forums....let´s not reveal we are actually willing to pay a lot to get the limited edition, guys! Let´s state that we won´t go over $50! :)
  13. My point is that it was pretty normal back then that you had problems importing Coldplay merchandise, but the current situation of europeans having to pay import taxes is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion.I am truly glad for you and all americans, but there is no reason why Coldplay should not have a U.K.-based store as well for european fans. A t-shirt would cost me more than double the retail price for me to import it, so I can only imagine a lot of people over here will choose only to shop what they want at the live shows. I encourage everyone from Europe to write to the store, letting them know they should change their policy.
  14. 1- September 12, because from then on, the ball will be rolling fast! 2- New interviews ! I am dying to know what Mylo Xyloto means! 3- The day I receive/buy the pop-up edition of MX and the ritual of opening, browsing the booklet, listening! 4- The live show! 5- Merchandise, especially fluorescent t-shirts would be nice!
  15. I second the $50 guess. What I hope is that it will be available all over the world. I would love to order it online as I did with the ETIAW EP. Whatever the cost, I will buy it though! Too good to miss
  16. Well this is only relevant to americans and non-americans willing to pay import duty taxes now....the rest of us must pick up whatever is available during the future tour...
  17. The fact that you had to import from the UK back then, is predictable as Coldplay are British...duh. Now that they are a HUGE act, they can't figure out how to provide merchandise to both sides of the Atlantic without turning their back on Europe? It's like saying Madonna has a store that only ships from the UK and Americans would have to pay huge money in order to import merchandise of an American artist! I just hope they take a look at their store and rectify this as it's not in good hands with Live Nation apparently.
  18. Kudos to you for making this huge sacrifice in the name of Coldplay :) However my point is that you should not have to....
  19. Ah scratch what I said about the unified shop being a good idea...it turns out it is only U.S.-based, officially alienating all european/rest of the world fans. We now will have the pleasure to pay more for shipping and even pay import duty taxes. Those are pretty steep in my country, so I guess it´s farewell to official Coldplay merchandise for me. I hate Live Nation...
  20. Good for you. You probably can fit the male sizes but a LOT of females do not, so too bad for the rest of us who actually would like, shockingly enough, a female fitted t-shirt of the running man...such audacity!
  21. I guess it´s unisex if you want to sleep in those t-shirts...a male small is roughly a female large, so I would not fit any of the male t-shirts at all, so they are definitely not unisex...I just can´t believe the incredible difference between the sexes. What´s up with that? Is it so hard to release a female and male version of each t-shirt? Other artists do it. And again this is Coldplay, not Metallica...
  22. So I just noticed they finally integrated the different online shops and now Coldplay has one official shop, where you can pick different currencies. I am very happy about this, but quickly became enraged when I saw that there are nearly three times as many t-shirts for men as there are for women! WTH??? I could understand if this was Metallica, but it´s Coldplay we are talking about. I don´t need a survey to surmise that there are probably more female than male Coldplay fans, or at the very least just as many. On top of that, the running man t-shirt, which is just awesome, is , you guessed it, only available for men. I tried writing to the shop in the past to no avail, hence my rant on this forum. Am I the only one who thinks this is totally unfair??
  23. I would have probably liked either the EP or the live previews of new songs...both proved to be too much for me and turned out to be a spoiler. I wish they had just chosen one of the two as promotion...
  24. You can read all the Coldplay article in its original format for free here. Just click the "inside" button on the cover and you are allowed 4 zooms. Enough to view all the Coldplay pages, if anyone is interested: http://www.zinio.com/browse/publications/index.jsp?sch=true&productId=500244206
  25. To the person who bought it in LA....can you upload some scans? :)
