Regardless of whether Coldplay intended for this meaning or not, it is an awesome interpretation that fits with the theme of the album so it is certainly there for anyone to see now...Thanks! :)

Interesting speculation. I don´t think the title is as epic as Clocks, but never judge a book by its cover , right? Chris said they are all pretty fired up and maybe last moments´creations like UIF might actually turn out to be the best ones. I don´t really feel this will be a new Clocks, but good reasoning

Moving to Mars totally met my expectations, so I´ll give it a try with Paradise. It is described as a bold anthem, if I recall correctly? I predict then a slow beginning, followed by a crescendo (typical Coldplay), a lot of drums, epic Johnny solo and a very uplifting theme a la ETIAW and yes also strings! Why not :)

My sentiment exactly! haha I´d better keep myself busy in the meantime. But come September the promotion machine will start rolling for good: already looking so much forward to interviews, merchandise, tour tickets, album and single pre-order! Ahh it´s gonna be a wonderful season! :)

Somehow I had been pronouncing it like Mylo Xyloto for a while now! hehe Thanks for posting the google link: now I got the accents in the right places. I am dying to know what it means...if anything!

I hope the pop-up edition will have extra tracks, but regardless 13 songs are not enough to fill in both albums, future b-sides,etc...I hope they will finish more in the future. We waited more than 3 years: we are thirsty for Coldplay tracks! :)

The cover seems simplistic, but I must admit I am really really growing to love both MX and ETIAW cover, so much so that I want them hung up as posters ! They are so vibrant and colorful, they are bound to brighten up even the darkest day!

I have faith that the band will find just the perfect track list, seeing how much time they spend selecting and sequencing, so I have no preference, but I do hope that they will release as many songs as possible both in the album and as future B-sides, EP, etc... Does anyone think Paradise will be issued with a b-side? :O

Normally I understand the buzz about the leak, but haven´t we all got half the album leaked in the live shows?? That ought to be quite enough to whet our appetite :) I for one will not look for any more spoilers: I feel I got more than my fair share. And considering the wonderful limited pop-up edition, I will be enjoying listening to the album for the first time while holding the booklet, photo album and whatever else they will include in it :) Until then, we have the forum to visit everyday to keep us busy! :)

I love XY, but I agree with you. A concise album is more effective and makes for an overall better listening experience. That said, I sincerely hope for a future EP a la Prospekt March

I second that. Listening to so many new songs live, coupled with the silly EP. I'm. I'm not as excited as I should be as I'm Partly spoiled and disappointed. VLV promotion might have been old style but it was right on.

Whether it is on the album or not, it will be put "out there" as Phil tweeted...so you will get the song, one format or the other :)

MX is 42 minutes long? Then I sincerely hope for an EP in December! Can't get enough Coldplay new tunes

I thought it was hilarious , yet shocking how she has not even had a listen yet. Coldplay is SO secretive. Maybe only Coldplay´s subconscious minds have listened to the album. Their conscious selves are not even aware of it, hence the delay in releasing it. hehe

I still don´t think Oracle replied to my question hehe But I guess no-one can except Coldplay themselves. As much as I like to believe everything is still up in the air, I still believe those songs will make the cut as they are clearly some of the band´s favorites and chosen to be played in the live shows.

I must admit Charlie Brown was an instant classic to me when I heard it...my liking to it was immediate. ETIAW took a bit longer, but now I simply adore it.

The way I see it we are basically paying for the "free" bonuses we got with VLV (remember the two songs for the price of one concept?). EMI finally found a way to make up for it by making us pay for ETIAW three times and Major Minus two times.... That said, I am really happy if these songs are on the album because they are just fantastic, but it is still a downer that they were released as a silly EP, out of context, just to make a quick quid... The leak of new songs in live gigs, coupled with the fact that we will end up purchasing the same songs several times sure leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and I hope they will not repeat this kind of "promotion" in the future.

If this is true, it's rather disappointing. Not only will I buy ETIAW again, but I will know half the songs on the album. Not cool.

Not sure if this has already been reported, but the show is up for viewing at the iTunes Festival webpage/app. Hurts like heaven does not seem to be there though, as well as the encore...
